DEBAUCHERY – Releasing on August 2nd, 2013, via Massacre Records, is one hell of an album straight from hell that I’m gratefully addicted to: Kings Of Carnage from Debauchery. This band of Metal hell assassins blend a fascinating mix of Death/Melodic Death Metal, with straight-up Thrash grooves wrapped around a powerful Metal sound; all coupled with Death and Blackened vocals with spine cracking, hellish gang vocals for good Metal measure.

There is plenty of Heavy Metal thump-and-stump across Kings Of Carnage and it’s riff-infested to the maximum Metal potential! The title track alone is worth the price of Metal admission here and Debauchery are not just convincing with their Metal; they are F’n convincing. This is an album that is quite ruthless with its ability to make my neck ache from headbanging and I’m very thankful for it.

Lyrically vicious and memorable as all hell, Kings Of Carnage reminds me that blood-soaked songs of carnage can pack my brain with true deathly bliss. Just a grand kick-to-the-Metal-ass release from Debauchery. With Victory Awaits, Debauchery also reminds me of just how victorious their new album truly is and I’m more than willing to join the Debauchery Motherfuckin Family. Metal be thy name.

TOXIC HOLOCAUST – Portland Punk Metal Combatants Complete New Album

Portland’s favorite punk metal combatants, TOXIC HOLOCAUST, recently completed the recording of their long-anticipated forthcoming new full-length. Titled Chemistry Of Consciousness, the 12-track beast of an offering was recorded by the band themselves, mixed with friend, Converge guitarist and renowned producer, Kurt Ballou at his own GodCity Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright (Sleep, From Ashes Rise, Nails) at Audiosiege Engineering.

Elaborates TOXIC founder Joel Grind, he of “spewed blasphemies and death-machine guitar tones” (Revolver): “I’m excited to announce that the new TOXIC HOLOCAUST record has been completed. We recorded it ourselves like we did last time but this time around we had our friend Kurt Ballou mix. It’s sounding so crushing! Lots and lots of distortion! Musically I went into a more punky territory than the last record while still maintaining the TOXIC HOLOCAUST sound. I look forward to everyone hearing it!”

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are currently leveling stages as part of this year’s Van’s Warped Tour. At the Ventura, California stop of the trek, Brian Eschbach, Ryan Knight, Max Lavelle, and Alan Cassidy, recorded their parts for Into the Everblack from the band’s new album, Everblack. Audio Hammer producer Mark Lewis comments specifically on Knight’s leads on “Everblack” stating, “Ryan Knight’s leads on ‘Everblack’ are nothing short of phenomenal. I grew up listening to the best in the era of shred, and I can honestly say these solos rank up there with the best, and beyond. They are not just technical solos in the athletic, ‘look how fast I can play’ sense; there is truly amazing harmonic content going in these leads. Any educated player will realize that the chord changes he is playing over are far more complex than anything you typically find in metal. Mix all that with absolutely world-class tone and vibrato, and you really have an amazing piece of work. It does not get better than this.”

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s new music video for “Goat of Departure” was also recently made available, and be seen on youtube HERE. The video, directed by Ben Mayer, was filmed in the band’s hometown of Detroit last month. In typical TBDM fashion, it is over-the-top and even features the return of a classic TBDM character, and a real, live goat.

Napalm Death & Obscene Extreme Grind For Charity

Once again Obscene Extreme are supporting good causes! This year Obscene Extreme has teamed up with Napalm Death to raise funds for Doctors Without Borders (http://www.msf.org/).

Doctors Without Borders is part of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

Napalm Death have provided a t-shirt design with ‘Obscene Extreme’ styled just like the Napalm Death logo. These shirts will be extremely limited with only 200 shirts being available. The price per shirt will be 350 CZK however fans will have the option to donate more to the charity if they wish. All money obtained will go to direct to Doctors Without Borders.

Obscene Extreme Festival take place this July 3-7 in Trutnov, Czech Republic and will headlined by Napalm Death. Other bands gracing the festival which celebrates a 15th anniversary this year include Aborted, Cryptopsy, Grave, Krisiun, Exhumed, Anaal Nathrakh…

CIRCLE OF CHAOS – Sign With Massacre Records

We’re happy to announce the signing of CIRCLE OF CHAOS from Sweden!

CIRCLE OF CHAOS started out as a project of the band’s guitarist HG Hogström in 2008. As the project developed, he began searching for musicians to complete the band. The original line-up then included HG Hogström (guitars), Thomas Jonsson (bass), Staffan Lundholm (drums), Antonio da Silva (vocals) and Allan Lundholm (guitars).

Dan Swanö mastered CIRCLE OF CHAOS’ debut album Black Oblivion that was released in 2010. It was well received worldwide and the band played their first live shows in Sweden.

In 2011, the band played their first shows abroad, in Germany and Poland, and shared stages with bands like Gun Barrel, Embodying The End and Dawn Of Destiny. At Germany’s Bremer Metal Festival in November 2011, Julian “Julle” Loaiza was introduced as new vocalist.

During spring 2012, CIRCLE OF CHAOS released the 5-track album “Twoheaded Serpent”, which was mixed and mastered by King Diamond’s Mike Wead. They went out on a headliner tour in Poland and the Czech Republic and also entered the Emergenza Festival and went all the way to the Scandinavian finals!

CIRCLE OF CHAOS have the ambition to always deliver energetic and captivating live shows. Anders “Atte” Strokirk joined the band as new guitarist in January 2013.

Hammerdrone is a Melodic, Blackened Death Metal band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Formed in October 2010, Hammerdrone features Graham Harris, ex-Reverend Kill (Apollon Records), ex-Genepool, ex-Rötschreck (Tenderloin Records) on vocals; Vinnie Cardellini, ex-Reverend Kill, on drums; Rick Cardellini on lead guitar; Curtis Beardy on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, and Steve Greenough, ex-Terra Cotta, on bass.

Canadian Metal is represented with potent muscle from HAMMERDRONE and their Blackened EP: Demon Rising. Crunchy, melodic and searing guitars (Rick Cardellini, Curtis Beardy) to melt your eardrums into Metal ecstasy; all the while the vocals of Graham Harris will blanket your surroundings into a melancholy zone of Blackened welcoming acceptance.

HOWL – Rhode Island Riff Manglers To Level North America Next Month

Rhode Island riff manglers HOWL will bring their sonic excess to the streets this Summer on a near month-long headlining tour. Set to commence on July 20th in their hometown of Providence, the New Noise Magazine sponsored trek will storm its way across the country, coming to a close on August 17th in Portland, Oregon. Support will be provided by label mates Lord Dying.

Said the band of the upcoming journey: “Dicks in hand, we will bring the riff to the holy land.”

HOWL will be touring in support of their Bloodlines full-length, recently discharged via Relapse Records. Delivering 40 inexorable minutes of lead-footed metallic dirge, Bloodlines entered the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #50, the Billboard Hard Music Chart at #57 and Billboard’s Indie Music Chart #173 upon its first week of release!

Venom have now confirmed they will headline the Belgian Festival Masters@Rock on Saturday 31st August 2013. Venom’s first ever live concert outside of England was in Belgium [Poperinge] way back in 1982. They returned again in 1984 as part of their ‘7 Dates of Hell’ tour, and it’s now been a staggering 29 years since that show, so this long awaited return will be a very special event indeed.
