Last Breath Of Rock ’N’ Roll is a retrospective to the moment when you heard Rock music for the first time.
Rimbacher is a band from central Finland that has built it’s foundations to traditional 80’s rock music. During spring 2022 the band has released couple of singles from their upcoming debut album. “Cocaine Eyes & Nicotine Stains” introduce the hybrid sound of Aussie Rock and 80’s Hair Rock, heavily riffing “Chasing Ghosts” and catchy rock anthem “Loving You (Is Loving A Broken)”.
”’Last Breath of Rock ‘N’ Roll’ represents the style of music that was my first personal touch to Rock music. This song is about the spontanious reaction that young guy felt when he listened to Rock music for the first time. So we made really rough and stripped song out of it – a tribute to the deepest essence of Rock. So raise your fist in the air and move your head!” singer Niko Rimbacher enthusiastically tells.
“Even as the track title refers to the ending of life the whole idea is actually the opposite. It’s about how to fill the huge gap that the current rock legends will leave after retiring and leaving the field open. Oregon’s RED FANG will begin their headlining tour of the U.S. (with three dates in Canada), on July 28th in Seattle Washington. Their fifteen city trek will conclude in Boise Idaho, on August 14th.

Now in 2022, reunited with original drummer Dave Mericle, “What Goes Around Comes Around” sees the band’s unyielding drive continue.
Musically the new release leans significantly into the New York Hardcore influence of BIOHARZARD and MADBALL while still showcasing the huge influence of SUFFOCATION in the quartet’s sound. Following their recent run supporting Carcass and Immolation, CREEPING DEATH will return to the stage this August on a North American headlining tour. The trek begins August 16th in El Paso, Texas, runs through September 18th in Austin, Texas, and includes performances at this year’s edition of Psycho Las Vegas and Full Terror Assault. Support will be provided by 200 Stab Wounds and Tribal Gaze as well as Ingrown, Spirit World, Vomit Forth, Age Of Apocalypse, and labelmates Plague Years on select dates.

CANNIBAL CORPSE continues to tour in support of their critically adored Violence Unimagined full-length, released last year via Metal Blade Records. Comprising eleven tracks, Violence Unimagined is state of the art death metal played with passion and breathless precision, making for another flawless addition to what is inarguably one of the premier catalogues of the genre.

The self-titled CORPSEGRINDER release is a monstrous and impressive leap for this Death Metal legend. CORPSEGRINDER is jam packed with infectious riffs, entertaining lyrics and more badass grooves than I can count. This is way more like Obituary than Cannibal Corpse; yet CORPSEGRINDER stands alone on its musicianship and overall nod to straight-up Metal.
Killer Be Killed exemplify’s how Metal has evolved up to this point in time; a modern Metal sound that benefits from the brilliance of this supergroup. Max Cavalara shows off clean vocals with his growls, while each song on Reluctant Hero I find to be outstanding. Greg Puciato is a tremendous force on this album. An amazing Metal album which I already consider as a classic.
Burning Witches carry the torch for Traditional Heavy Metal while adding their own recipe of sound. These ladies bring a hefty dose of speed and melody to their songs, along with some growls and European Metal vibes. The Witch Of The North settles into this band’s growing and impressive discography perfectly. If you love DORO, you’ll love Burning Witches.
Blackened death entity VØLUS has released a new track off its forthcoming album, Thrown to the Abyss. The song, titled “The Breathing Reflection,” is streaming now at this location.
Thrown to the Abyss is a follow-up to Festering Anti–Cosmic Wound (2020) and Deadstar Illumination EP (2021). The album name is taken from the song “Thrown to the Abyss” VØLUS wrote back in 2018 on The Vermin Speak demo.

May 31, 2022, LOS ANGELES – The Melvins, who set sail for “The Electric Roach Tour” on June 14, have announced the next wave of dates in what’s proving to be a gargantuan slate of 2022 shows, with “The Five Legged Tour” offering U.S. fans an additional 43 opportunities to take in one of the seminal band’s live performances.

Not to be confused with the band’s recent acoustic collection of a similar name (Five Legged Dog), the electrified trek kicks off Sept. 5 in San Francisco and wraps up with a special outing at The Halloween Freakout, a one-off, Los Angeles based festival (more details to be announced soon). The Melvins released two albums in 2021: Working With God, a newly recorded album featuring the band’s 1983 iteration (Osborne, Dale Crover and original drummer Mike Dillard), as well as the a 36-song acoustic collection, Five Legged Dog, which features a career-spanning collection of songs, from 1987’s Gluey Porch Treatments to 2017’s A Walk With Love & Death.

The group is known for their razor grinding guitars mixed with blackened thrash elements and often abstract time signatures, characterized by blast beats, complex riffing, and pit style hook riffs.
Additionally, their reality-based lyrics characterized by war themes and mental trauma that are notable in death metal. Various line-up changes throughout the years have left Mike DeBord as the sole remaining original member, as well as the band’s driving force. To date, MARTYRED has released 3 EPs and a full length album to be released this fall 2022.

The Finnish power metal regiment, Remains of Destruction, released their album called “New Dawn” on May 28, 2022. The revolutionary album transports the listener through beautiful melodies, heavy riffs, and epic moods. R.O.D has released a total of five singles from the album that have received good feedback, and the band assures that listeners will not be disappointed with their first full-length album.
“New Dawn” has also had high-level collaborators, such as Topias Kupiainen of Arion, long-time power metal expert Esa Orjatsalo, award-winning game music composer Kohld Haveneson, and Venezuela’s gift to music production, producer Felipe Grüber.
The songs’ themes on the album primarily deal with modern-day themes, and the texts revolve around the war in Ukraine, the pandemic, and the current state of humanity.
The band’s singer Jesse Yrjölä, who was responsible for the production and recording of the album, says of the new album:
“New Dawn” is an epic journey through a post-apocalyptic fictive alternate reality full of velocity and dangerous situations. The album follows the real world’s ugly situation through a third-person view, likened to a slightly whimsical universe according to our ideology through the eyes of different characters.
The concept of the album and some of the songs was in mind even before the whole band was formed. In the turn of the year, when our lineup was complete, we decided together to book an album-release gig and made a deal that we are going to finish the album by the gig. At that time we had released 3 singles and a total of five songs had been written! We worked our asses off throughout the beginning of the year and we were able to finish an album consisting of nine songs 3 weeks before the release! (The band’s singer laughs). We got a real supergroup of awesome peers who I want to thank a thousand times for their work! Without them, this album would have never seen the light of day.

May 25, 2022 – Job Bos (Satyricon) and Norman Lonhard (ex-Triptykon) have announced the formation of Dead Eyed Creek.

It was fall 2019 when guitarist and band founder Job Bos (Satyricon, Dark Fortress, The Ruins of Beverast), approached longtime friend and drummer Norman Lonhard (ex-Triptykon) with the idea of creating music together. After having worked with different musicians, they found bass player Max Blok, who proved to be the right fit for the band on both a musical and a personal level. The final person to join the band was Icelandic singer Einar Vilberg. Einar showed that his mind-blowing vocal skills and range were the number one choice for the band and together they created a mammoth of an album. Dead Eyed Creek was born!
Dead Eyed Creek’s music builds on a shared love of ‘90s rock sounds and heavy music. The band strives to go against the grain and eschews the clean and overproduced sounds found in the current scene.
Job Bos says of the songwriting: “I’ve been digging deep into myself, my past, my mistakes, my good and bad sides. The idea was to create something based on pure and real things, things that a lot of people have to face in life, and I hope people find a piece of themselves in our music and can hold on to it. Just like many bands have done for us. No metaphors or hiding, it’s all real and it’s all there.”
Co–producer V. Santura adds: “I think that DEAD EYED CREEK is a motherfucking great band, seriously. As a close friend of the band, I already witnessed their first steps and also the sometimes depressing difficulties and problems on the road to complete this debut album. But I have to say that I am truly stoked about their music! May the future belong to them.“
Dead Eyed Creek’s sound has it all – from heavy riffs and monstrous grooves to tragic and beautiful ballads and everything in between. Captivating and catchy songs with vocals that can make your skin crawl. With their music, they take the greatness of ‘90s rock to a new level, but most of all continue the sound from that era that so many have fallen in love with.
Now Dead Eyed Creek are gearing up to release their debut album. The international four piece already recorded eleven songs with German producer Michael Zech at Q7 studios in Munich and crafted something wonderfully iconoclastic.
