RAGNHILD – Release A New Intense Music Video For The Track – ‘Under The Red Sky’

Posted in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Metal, Music, music news, news, rock music, world news with tags , , , , , , on March 7, 2019 by Metal Odyssey

Ragnhild play a very distinct style of Death Metal fusing element of Melodies and Viking Metal and offer a very unique sound that defines their brand. Their new album ‘Tavern Tales’ is slated for a March release. The first track of the album – ‘Under the Red Sky’ speaks of a powerful theme and is complimented by a strong video that holds true to the nature of the song; perhaps, that’s the speciality of it.

Commenting about the song, the guitarist Shardul comments “The Songs in the album have been composed with the general idea of how Melodic Death Metal comprising of Nordic/ Celtic melodies when mixed with heavier riffs and vocals sound. The lyrics that we wrote are basically out of our own imagination of various incidents that took place in our history. ‘Under the Red Sky’ is written with similar ideas. The lyrics talk about a fleet of soldiers that were betrayed by one of our own and by the grace of the gods, they found out about the ambush that awaits”.

Listen to the band’s latest track ‘Under the Red Sky’ below:

‘Tavern Tales’ – Track List:

Battle on My Grave

A Viking Mosh

We Will March

Glory of our mighty king

Under The Red Sky

Stronghold

Ragnhild

Tavern Tales (title track)

Death of a warrior

Rutan has produced four albums with CANNIBAL CORPSE (KillEvisceration PlagueTortureRed Before Black) and is uniquely equipped to fill the role – he is one of the death metal’s most acclaimed guitarists and is known for his time as part of Morbid Angel throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, as well as handling vocals/guitars and production duties for his current band Hate Eternal.

The latest issue of Decibel includes exclusive interviews with both CANNIBAL CORPSE and Morbid Angel as well as with tour’s co-conspirators. Don’t miss this issue! Order yours today at: https://store.decibelmagazine.com/collections/back-issues/products/march-2019-173.

Posted in Heavy Metal, Metal, Music, music news, news, rock music, world news with tags , , , , , on February 3, 2019 by Metal Odyssey

Texas horde IMPRECATION will once again lay waste to false metal with eight new tracks of blasphemous black/death metal. The band’s forthcoming full-length, Damnatio Ad Bestias, will be out March 22 on Dark Descent Records.

Album track “Temple of the Foul Spirit” is streaming at: https://youtu.be/yYOPr4SSSEo

IMPRECATION rises again from the blasted lands of Texas with their darkest spell ever, Damnatio Ad Bestias. This album expands upon the themes of their 2013 debut Satanae Tenebris Infinita with deadly results. An aura of true Satanic majesty is unleashed in tracks like, “Temple of the Foul Spirit”, “Morbid Crucifixion”, and “Baptized in Satan’s Blood”. Bludgeoning guitars, battering drums, and haunting keys create an experience that will terrify the unbelievers and convert the uninitiated.

Damnatio Ad Bestias – Track Listing:

  1. Temple of the Foul Spirit
  2. Morbid Crucifixion
  3. Baptized in Satan’s Blood
  4. Beasts of the Infernal Void
  5. Damnatio Ad Bestias
  6. Dagger, Thurible, Altar of Death
  7. The Shepherd and the Flock

IMPRECATION Bio:

Formed in 1991, IMPRECATION has become a vaunted institution in the underground, with their now-classic Theurgia Goetia Summa compilation cited by bands across the globe. They have no need for trendy tags like “old school death metal”, for there is simply death metal as it it was intended – evil, dangerous, and crushing. Beware, for the Beast is upon you!

METALITALIA.COM FESTIVAL 2019: Dates And First Bands Confirmed!

Posted in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Music, music news, news, rock music, world news with tags , , , , , on February 3, 2019 by Metal Odyssey

The Metalitalia.com Festival team – Metalitalia.comVertigo and Eagle Booking Live Promotion – are very proud to reveal the dates and the first confirmed acts of the 2019 edition of the festival, which will take place once again at the Live Music Club in Trezzo sull’Adda (Milan), Italy.

This time the event will take place over two days in spring: on Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June.

We’re still working on various other things behind the scenes which we’ll bring to you in due course, including the side programme and of course the full line-up and day schedules. In the meantime, we’re extremely happy to be adding some cool bands to the festival with this announcement.

DAY 1 – Saturday, 1st June

The headlining act of the first day of the festival will be Sweden’s ARCH ENEMY! The Michael Amott led band, recently brought to the apex of his success by the charismatic singer Alissa White-Gluz is without a doubt one of the leaders of the modern thrash-death metal scene. ARCH ENEMY will be joined by Italian symohonic death metal masters FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, who are about to release a new and highly anticipated album. The band will perform with an impressive production in an exclusive show on Italian soil. Never the most prolific of bands, nor the most well-known, nevertheless DARKANE have offered some of the most intelligent thrash-death metal throughout the years. For the occasion, the Swedish band will play their masterpiece “Rusted Angel” in its entirety!

DAY 2 – Sunday, 2nd June

The second day of the event will be fully dedicated to hard rock and classic metal. The bill will be topped by Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD: the band boasts a big following in Italy and they will come down to Milan for a very special show. Co-headliners of this second day will be Sweden’s HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, who are absolute masters at mixing sleaze, glam, metal and catchy choruses. Finally, we are proud to announce another piece of metal and rock history: Phil Campbell, the legendary guitarist of MOTÖRHEAD, who shared the stage with Lemmy for 32 years, will join us for an an explosive show based on recent cuts from his new album under the PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS banner and many MOTÖRHEAD hits!

Once again, please stay tuned for more details and news!

Indian Death Metallers PLAGUE THROAT Release First Single Off Upcoming EP!

Posted in Heavy Metal, Metal, Music, music news, news, rock music, world news with tags , , , , on February 2, 2019 by Metal Odyssey

Indian Death Metal duo PLAGUE THROAT have released their first single off their upcoming EP- Evolutionary Impasse. The track entitled The Epoch of Catastrophe II gives fans a glimpse of what the EP packs. Marked with chaotic blast beats, technical riffs often showing melodic passages and monstrous vocals pummeling its way across. This EP promises to divulge into the path of strong technicality yet showing heavy undertones of brutality unlike their previous releases.

The band’s front man Nangsan comments, “This song strongly condemns and questions the misusing and misleading of the masses by utilising the easily accessible stupidity and incoherence of the majoritarian mindset which in turns leads to division among people“.
