DIABOLICAL – Confirmed For Bloodstock Festival / UK Tour Kicks Off Tonight

Swedish Death Metal horde Diabolical have been confirmed for Bloodstock Festival 2014!

The band recently confirmed a string of tours which sees Diabolical campaign across Europe over the coming months in support of their latest album ‘Neogenesis. The band are currently on tour in UK with Svart Crown and Ascaris and if that doesn’t wet the appetites of the British metal contingent a return on August 7th-10th to Catton Park, Derby sure-fire will.

Bloodstock 2014 is shaping up to be one of, if not the biggest, Bloodstock yet. Last year, just prior to Lamb Of God’s Saturday headline show, the first headline act for Bloodstock 2014 was announced as revered black metal innovators Emperor and it was confirmed that the festival would play host to the one and only 2014 UK Emperor performance. Also confirmed are Megadeth, Down, Carcass, Amon Amarth, Saxon, Children Of Bodom, Hatebreed, Obituary, Lacuna Coil, Crowbar, Prong and many, many more.

The BIRTH A.D. vinyl edition of I Blame You is limited to 300 copies, with 100 coming on green and black splatter vinyl.

Italian Death/Thrashers OMNIVORE have unleashed their self-titled debut album through Unspeakable Axe Records. This blood-soaked slab of old-school thrash aggression is now available at: www.unspeakableaxerecords.com.

Like their name suggests, OMNIVORE are equal-opportunity devourers. Their raging full-length shows that they clearly consumed old Death/Thrash acts from Europe and the U.S. – think Massacra, Merciless, and Sadus – as well as the more-familiar Bay Area bands, represented here by the use of gang vocals, some melodic lead parts, and even a startlingly well-played acoustic passage. Of course, one of their biggest influences is revealed by the hidden bonus track at the end, a cover song that implores you to “Arise!”

Hailing from Varese and spawned in 2011 from the ashes of Nightmare Of Fallen, Omnivore is already a project on hold. The band’s lone album (so far at least) is going to burn down villages and consume the fleeing villagers.

With guitars and bass recorded at Augmented Audio in Los Angeles with former The Black Dahlia Murder bassist Ryan “Bart” Williams, vocals arranged at Mayhemeness Studios in Sacramento by Bob Swanson (Rings Of Saturn, Plague Window et al) and drums tracked at Castle Ultimate Studios with Zack Ohren (Light This City, All Shall Perish, First Blood, Cattle Decapitation, Warbringer et al), who also mixed and mastered the release, Immortal promises to deliver some of the most dynamic, instrumentally adept and plainly crushing material of the year.

Elaborates vocalist Cam Rogers of the outcome: “Immortal is what was spawned from hard work, dedication, and downright brutal musicianship. Formed in 2011 under the working title Gary Busey Amber Alert (GBAA), ALTERBEAST combines the teachings of The Black Dahlia Murder, Necrophagist and Spawn Of Possession with the classic Death Metal mastery of band’s like Dissection and Morbid Angel into an irate expulsion of sonic deviance. After a year of dedicated song-crafting, ALTERBEAST unleashed their first demo in 2012 and officially waged war on the populace with numerous shows opening for Deicide, Dying Fetus, Testament, Revocation, Exhumed, Severed Savior and many others. Band Bio

Cold as ice, angry as a horde of Viking warriors and determined like an army fighting for freedom of their homeland: THUNDERWAR! The band was born in 2013, when four young Metal maniacs decided to join their forces to not only pay  tribute to such Metal heroes as BATHORY, UNLEASHED, DISSECTION and AMON AMARTH, but to prove that Poland has again something to say to the metal world.

The debut EP “THE BIRTH OF THUNDER” was  mixed and produced by Wieslawscy Bros from HERTZ STUDIO (BEHEMOTH, VADER, DECAPITATED). The band’s logo was designed by Christophe Szpajdel (EMPEROR, MOONSPELL, DESASTER) and the cover artwork of “The Birth of Thunder” EP was done by Mario Lopez.

Currently the band is promoting their self-released EP and in the middle of 2014 will enter the HERTZ STUDIO to work on their first  full album. THUNDERWAR – Better remember this name, as they are here to stay!

Produced by Nick Botelho at NB Recording in Santa Rosa, California and featuring the debut of new throat Taylor Wientjes, Trinity Of Falsehood is an unapologetically methodical, fast-paced display of sharp, groin-churning DM brutality. In a 9/10 review of the offering, Dead Rhetoric champions the band’s, “no-frills, modern death metal… heavily rooted in the speed and technicality of Origin and the fury of Decapitated,” further boasting, “THE KENNEDY VEIL has thrown down the death metal gauntlet for years to come.

Corpsessed was spawned from putrescent slime in 2007. Vocalist Niko Matilainen, guitarist Matti Mäkelä and drummer Jussi-Pekka Manner were joined by guitarist Jyri Lustig and (de)composing of morbid Death Metal tunes began at the rotting houses of Järvenpää delta-area. The group’s original bass player, Mikko Mäkelä, disappeared in unknown circumstances and was replaced later in 2009 by Mikko Pöllä.

Corpsessed’s first EP The Dagger & The Chalice was released on CD by Dark Descent Records (USA) in May 2011. The vinyl version released by Me Saco Un Ojo (UK) in co-operation with Dark Descent (USA) in October 2011. That release was followed up by a two-track, self-titled 7-inch EP in 2012. The band recently completed work on their debut full-length album, Abysmal Thresholds.

From the depths of Californian crypts, FDA Rekotz presents bone-breaking Death Metal act MORFIN and their debut album, Inoculation. Death Metal war machine TrenchRot are unleashing their debut Necronomic Warfare upon the world and none will be spared. With influences ranging from other war-themed bands like Asphyx and Bolt Thrower, to the vomitous vocals and epic, soaring lead work of Obituary’s Cause of Death, this is an old school Death Metal album that doesn’t feel self-conscious about being what it is.  It just crushes everything in its path, and leaves the bloodied listener staggering away… and grinning ear to ear.

Members are in other promising new bands, such as Crypt Sermon – whose first demo will see a cassette release from Dark Descent Records soon – and Infiltrator, and promise to soon be well-known names in the underground.

Polish Death Metal legends VADER are currently working on the follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2011 album, “Welcome To The Morbid Reich”.
