On August 31st, 1992 – The incredible IRON MAIDEN performed at the Oslo Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. IRON MAIDEN were touring in support of their ninth studio album from 1992: Fear Of The Dark. Whoa! Hail IRON MAIDEN!

On August 31st, 2015 – The newly released MOTÖRHEAD studio album, Bad Magic, is ranked at #1, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Hail MOTÖRHEAD and Lemmy for president!

On August 31st, 2015 – The second studio album, Killers, from the great IRON MAIDEN is ranked at #78, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Killers was released back in 1981. I love this timeless Metal album and long live Paul Di’Anno. Whoa.

East Anglia has boasting rights to say that KAINE is from there. This NWOBHM revival band has me relieved to know they understand fully about the roots and trueness of Metal. KAINE have delivered a grand-slam with their newly released single: Justice Injustice. Listen to this song and buy it on their Bandcamp!! Trust Stone, I would never tell my Metal brethren to buy shit.

This new song from KAINE is so good, it has brought tears to my eyes. Fans of early Judas Priest, early Iron Maiden and Witch Cross etc. have to understand just how important of a song this is for their Metal library! Maybe this is too cliché to say only I don’t give a sweet and sour shit: KAINE kicks Metal ass. Period.

Rage Sadler is a vocalist that is top-tier. I have listened to this new song from KAINE so many times now that I’ve lost count. Everything about this song is perfect. Support KAINE by any Metal means possible. Metal Be Thy Name. – Stone

Max Cavalera was born on August 4th, 1969, in Brazil. Happy Metal Birthday, Max Cavalera! Freaking hell and yeah! Max Cavalera is a former member and co-founder of SEPULTURA; while being a founding and current member of SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and KILLER BE KILLED. Back in 1994 – 1995, Max Cavalera founded, toured and released one studio album with his side project: NAILBOMB. In other Metal words, Max Cavalera is a Metal legend.

Max Cavalera is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and lyricist for every band he has put his Metal stamp on. Metal be thy name! Long live Max Cavalera!

Tragically, this would be the last studio album that the legendary (and late) Bon Scott would sing on. Robert John “Mutt” Lange was the producer for Highway To Hell. My favorite song on this album is: Touch Too Much. Oh, man, that song revs me up, like no tomorrow!

On August 3rd, 1986 – The mighty JUDAS PRIEST performed at the Toledo Sports Arena, in Toledo, Ohio, USA. Hail JUDAS PRIEST!

On August 3rd, 1987 – The great DEF LEPPARD released their fourth studio album: HYSTERIA. This album has sold 12 million (plus) copies in the United States. Sweet lord of mercy! Yes, this album features the hit single: Pour Some Sugar On Me.

On August 3rd, 2015 – FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have their third studio album, American Capitalist, ranked at #29, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Great balls of fire! This kick-ass album was released back in 2011.

On August 3rd, 1963, James Hetfield was born in California, USA. Happy Metal Birthday, James Hetfield! Freaking hell and yeah! AC/DC is ready to rock stadiums this summer. The ‪Rock Or Bust North America Tour rolls into Gillette Stadium – home of the ‪‎New England Patriots – on August 22nd and concludes five weeks later at ‪‎Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

After the release of ‘High Voltage’ in the summer of 1976, AC/DC headlined London’s legendary Marquee Club seven times between June and August.

In England, ‘Back In Black’ sold 10,000 copies a day in its first week of release.

AC/DC have headlined the Monsters Of Rock Festival more than anyone else: four times in 1981, 1984, 1991 and 2010.

The 1982 tour for ‘For Those About To Rock We Salute You’ was one of AC/DC’s biggest and the first to feature their signature firing cannons on stage.

The five-leg, year-long Razors Edge World Tour was one of AC/DC’s most successful, becoming one of the highest-grossing tours of 1991.

In 1992, AC/DC released ‘AC/DC Live’ – their first live album recorded with vocalist Brian Johnson.

On This Day In METAL History – July 20th… From STEPPENWOLF To WHITESNAKE

On July 20th, 1968 – The super hit single Born To Be Wild, from the great Steppenwolf, was ranked at #2, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

On July 20th, 1968 – The second studio album from IRON BUTTERFLY, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, entered the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. This groundbreaking album would go on to peak at #4 on this chart, going on to sell four million (plus) copies in the United States. Sweet molasses!

On July 20th, 2011 – The invincible JUDAS PRIEST, on their Epitaph World Tour, performed at the High Voltage Festival, at Victoria Park in London, England. Whoa, man!

On July 20th, 2015 – The fabulous WHITESNAKE are to perform at The Palace Theatre, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, USA. This is one of numerous U.S. dates on WHITESNAKE’s The Purple Tour. Hot damn!

On July 20th, 2015 – The fourth studio album, Blood For Blood, from HELLYEAH is ranked at #17, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Blood For Blood was released in 2014, via Eleven Seven.

On July 20th, 2015 – The mighty IRON MAIDEN have their incredible live album, Live After Death, ranked at #47, on the iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. Cool! This album was originally released back in 1985. If you don’t own this album: it’s obvious you get psyched-out by listening to Barbara Streisand albums.

On This Day In METAL History – July 5th… From THE WHO To POWERWOLF

On July 5th, 1969 – The Who and Chuck Berry co-headlined the Pop Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Holy smokes, that’s cool! Shown above is the souvenir program from the 1969 Pop Proms. This Rock historic event took place from June 29th to July 5th, 1969. This souvenir program contains 36 pages. If you have one, you are very lucky and super freaking cool!

On July 5th, 1980 – Alice Cooper had his song, Clones (We’re All), ranked at #40, on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. Um, with all due respect, that is a very weird photo of Alice Cooper, on that above 45rpm cover sleeve. Good gravy!

On July 5th, 2015 – The forthcoming studio album, Blessed And Possessed (deluxe version) from Heavy Metal warrior’s POWERWOLF is ranked at #79, on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Heavy Metal Albums Chart. This album will be released in the U.S., on July 17th, 2015. Whoa!

On July 5th, 2015 – The 2015 Vans Warped Tour Compilation CD is ranked at #3, on the U.S. Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. Good golly!
