HEMOPTYSIS – Nominated Twice For 11th Annual Independent Music Awards

HEMOPTYSIS – Arizona Thrashers HEMOPTYSIS have been nominated for this year’s Independent Music Awards. This marks the band’s second consecutive year being nominated and this year HEMOPTYSIS holds the honor of receiving two nominations in two categories.

The band’s critically acclaimed album, Misanthropic Slaughter is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Album and the track “M.O.D.” (the video for which can be seen at this location) is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Song. This year’s panel of judges includes Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Waits, members of GWAR, Keith Richards and many more.

In addition to the industry-selected winners, fans have until Friday, July 20th to vote for the fan-selected winners at this location.

 In additional HEMOPTYSIS news, guitarist/vocalist Masaki Murashita is set to appear on KGRG 89.9 FM’s Late Night Death radio show on Tuesday, March 13 at 10PM PST.

Masaki will be on the air discussing the band’s most recent release, Misanthropic Slaughter, what 2012 has in store for HEMOPTYSIS and much more. KGRG 89.9 FM broadcasts out of Green River Community College in the Seattle, WA metropolitan area. The interview will also be streaming at http://www.kgrg.com.

Masaki Murashita – Hemoptysis Guitarist / Front Man Featured In Providence Cables Demonstration Videos

Hemoptysis guitarist and front man Masaki Murashita has done a series of nine demonstration videos for Providence Cables, all of which can be viewed at www.providence.jp. 
In addition to an introductory piece, a total of eight videos are included with Murashita discussing the original concepts, ideas, and the characteristics of each specific model.

English and Japanese language versions of the videos are available, the latter of which will be placed in music instrument stores nationwide in Japan this spring. Some of the acclaimed artists that have used the guitar cables include Carl Verheyen, Larry Carlton, Michael Landau, and Ramon Goose.

Hemoptysis performed at Boomers Bar in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, November 12th and Full Metal Rock has reviewed the show. The review is available with some photos here.

The band will be writing new material for the next few months and is currently working on tour dates for early 2012.

Arizona Thrashers HEMOPTYSIS have released a music video for the track “M.O.D.,” taken from their latest album Misanthropic Slaughter. The video was shot earlier this month in an abandoned warehouse in Vail, AZ. Production and direction came courtesy of Sean Sinerius and Robert Jaime at Big Shot Studios. Hemoptysis have announced a weekend tour that features 3 dates from Arizona, to Wyoming. A promotional video including live clips of the band can be viewed here. Hemoptysis are touring in support of their debut album Misanthropic Slaughter available now on iTunes, Amazon and in stores throughout Europe via Rock It Up Records.
