Guitarist/vocalist Masaki Murashita of Arizona-based extreme thrash act, HEMOPTYSIS is set to appear on KGRG 89.9 FM’s Late Night Death radio show on Tuesday, February 5th at 10PM PST. Masaki will be on the air live discussing the band’s as-yet untitled upcoming album, what 2013 has in store for HEMOPTYSIS and much more. KGRG 89.9 FM broadcasts out of Green River Community College in the Seattle, WA metropolitan area. The interview will also be streaming at www.kgrg.com.

Hemoptysis is currently running a fundraising campaign to help fund the band’s follow-up to 2011′s widely-praised Misanthropic Slaughter. The band has penned five new songs for the release and plans to re-record two tracks which originally appeared on the 2008 Who Needs A Shepard EP. The band has penned five new songs for the release and plans to re-record two tracks which originally appeared on the 2008 Who Needs A Shepard EP. Funds are being sought to help cover recording, production, layout and pressing costs; with perks such as drum heads, cymbals HEMOPTYSIS merch, private shows, jam sessions and more being offered to contributors.

HEMOPTYSIS – Arizona Thrashers HEMOPTYSIS have been nominated for this year’s Independent Music Awards. This marks the band’s second consecutive year being nominated and this year HEMOPTYSIS holds the honor of receiving two nominations in two categories.

The band’s critically acclaimed album, Misanthropic Slaughter is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Album and the track “M.O.D.” (the video for which can be seen at this location) is up for Best Metal/Hardcore Song. Hemoptysis guitarist and front man Masaki Murashita has done a series of nine demonstration videos for Providence Cables, all of which can be viewed at www.providence.jp.  In addition to an introductory piece, a total of eight videos are included with Murashita discussing the original concepts, ideas, and the characteristics of each specific model.

English and Japanese language versions of the videos are available, the latter of which will be placed in music instrument stores nationwide in Japan this spring. Some of the acclaimed artists that have used the guitar cables include Carl Verheyen, Larry Carlton, Michael Landau, and Ramon Goose.

Heavy Metal Magazine is proud to announce the final artist line-up for its soundtrack to Gates, titled Volume 1 – Ascension, whose release date has been moved to August 9, 2011. All net proceeds from the sale of the audio companion to the comic, will benefit the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund.

Ronnie James Dio appeared on the 1981 soundtrack for the Heavy Metal film while a member of Black Sabbath.

Hal Hefner, the creator of Heavy Metal Presents: Gates worked with artists LoveKrafty and Inside The Black to create all-new music to accompany the comic, and brought in other artists including Deltanaut, Hemoptysis and Black ‘N Blue to complete the comic’s music companion.

MASAKI MURASHITA – Best known for his role as the lead vocalist/guitarist for the critically acclaimed Thrash Metal power house, Hemoptysis, Masaki Murashita is an accomplished musician, songwriter, and recording engineer with over six years of experience in the entertainment industry.

He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Grammy Award winning producer Ryan Greene (NOFX, Authority Zero, F5), platinum selling recording artist Megadeth, and metal underground heavy hitters Agoraphobic Nosebleed, and Benedictum.

Hemoptysis guitarist Masaki Murashita has posted a video demonstration of ENGL’s Fireball 100. The Video features Murashita playing through the Fireball 100 with different music styles, demonstrating the Fireballs ability to work under various conditions, and settings. The video is available in English, as well as Murashita’s native language of Japanese.
