Bay Area Metal Titans Machine Head announce a MASSIVE North American tour alongside Swedish metal icons In Flames, Italian alt-metallers Lacuna Coil, and American metalcore maestros Unearth. The crushing 5 week jaunt begins in their hometown of Oakland, CA at the legendary Fox Theater, then heads south for a stop at Sick New World Festival, then east, and back across Canada.

To coincide with this gargantuan event Machine Head have collaborated on a new song called โ€œThese Scars Wonโ€™t Define Usโ€ with all 4 bands on the tour adding vocals for a Wu Tang Clan-level thrash collaboration. The track comes from their upcoming new album (slated for April release TBD), with the new collab track dropping this Friday Nov. 15th at midnight.

Bloodstone & Diamonds was once again produced by Robb Flynn himself and Juan Urteaga (TESTAMENT, VILE), and like the last 7 out of 8 albums, was masterfully mixed by Colin Richardson (CARCASS, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, SLIPKNOT, BEHEMOTH). Additional tracking, editing, and mixing was done with heavy metal legend Andy Sneap (EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, MEGADETH) who also launched his career co-mixing Machine Headโ€™s 2nd album โ€œThe More Things Changeโ€ and Steve Lagudi.

โ€œI cannot even begin to tell you how proud we are of this album,โ€ comments frontman Robb Flynn. โ€œIt’s been a heck of a ride, but man, this album is a milestone for us. You’re going to love it Head Cases.โ€

โ€œWithout getting too philosophical on ya, Bloodstone & Diamonds represent two of the hardest materials on earth, it is also a lyric from the opening track of the album โ€˜Now We Dieโ€™. In many cultures the bloodstone has been used as an amulet to protect against evil and is the symbol of justice. Diamonds are the hardest natural material on earth (which is how we feel about our music) and it also represents the diamond logo I drew 22 years ago (in my wife’s apartment on Dover St. in Oakland) that has become the symbol for the band.โ€

MACHINE HEAD – have announced the dates for the North American leg of their tour in support of Unto the Locust. Support will come from Suicide Silence, Darkest Hour and Rise To Remain. The tour kicks off on January 15 in Denver, CO and will rampage through the U.S. and Canada for the remainder of the month, coming to a close on February 18 in the bandโ€™s hometown area of San Francisco, CA.
