Veteran US heavy metallers JAG PANZER are finally back in full force! Today, the band is proud to announce their signing to Atomic Fire Records for the release of their twelfth full-length album, The Hallowed, which is due out next Spring.

Comments founding guitarist Mark Briody, “JAG PANZER is proud to announce that we have signed to Atomic Fire Records. Over the years, we have seen the incredible promotional work done by Markus, Flori, and their team. We felt that our music combined with their hard work could take JAG PANZER to the next level. We are very excited to bring The Hallowed to Atomic Fire Records.”

Adds Atomic Fire Records founder/A&R Markus Wosgien, “When we got the offer for a new JAG PANZER album, it was already a bit of a no-brainer to give them a deal. When we heard the album, it became a must-have. Honestly, this is one of the best albums they’ve ever done and they have an armada of classics in their discography. They sound hungry, inspired, and take all their trademarks to another level. We cannot wait to release their first singles and believe me; it wasn’t a hard choice to make. This is a future heavy metal classic to come!”

JAG PANZER came into being in 1981 in Colorado Springs and, over four decades later, has lost none of their rebellion and power. Inspired by the onslaught of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, Mark Briody and his comrades quickly became one of the most intriguing US power metal acts, releasing a glut of successful studio albums, including their debut album Ample Destruction (1984), The Fourth Judgement (1997), Thane To The Throne (2000), The Scourge Of The Light (2011), and their latest effort, The Deviant Chord (2017).

After facing several lineup changes and a hiatus, JAG PANZER are still holding sway as their forthcoming album The Hallowed proves.

Recently, JAG PANZER welcomed long-time touring guitarist Ken Rodarte as an official band member: Said Briody, “Ken’s done a great job on the last several tours. When he expressed interest in joining the band, we put him on an eight-week audition to see how he’d fit in with our creative process. Ken’s contribution to The Hallowed exceeded all our expectations. Harry, Rikard, John, and I are all excited to have Ken on board.”

Dead Serenity’s New Single Is A Bittersweet Expression Of A Search For Meaning In Life

Posted in Death Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, music videos, news with tags , , , , , , , , on December 7, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Photographer: Jere Hyppönen

Finnish melancholic melodic death metal band Dead Serenity has released a second single from their upcoming debut album. The song Evanecent is drawing inspiration from the presence of Death and the disintegration of close relationships. It’s a bittersweet expression of a search for meaning in life from which all light has been drained. Perfect for cold, dark nights when contemplating life, death and lost love.

Dead Serenity is a 5-piece founded in 2018. On their music the band focuses on strong melodies. On lyrics they let the full scale of human emotions and behavior carry the music from an atmosphere to another – from sensibility to ecstasy and from distress to aggression.

The band released their debut EP “Beginnings” in 2020 and the first full length “When Worlds Turn To Gray” follows early 2023.

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Dead Serenity’s guitarist and main composer Toni Lind. Graphics and lyric video is created by Jonas Eriksson.

DEIQUISITOR – To Return with “Apotheosis”

Posted in Death Metal, death metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , on December 6, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

From beyond the confines of measurable knowledge comes Apotheosis; fast, brutal, and unearthly 90s-inspired death metal from Denmark’s DEIQUISITOR.

Comprised of veterans of the Danish scene, Apotheosis includes nine new songs recorded at Phlegm Studios in Lejre and mixed and mastered by Greg Wilkinson of Earhammer Productions. Continuing the band’s occult-driven cosmic journey, Apotheosis takes the DEIQUISITOR brand of death metal without losing the uncompromising fist-to-the-face approach heard on previous albums. Apotheosis dwells on occult science, ancient mysteries, and apocalyptic themes.

Extremely Rotten Productions and Night Shroud Records will release Apotheosis on CD, cassette, digital, and vinyl formats on January 20.

Tracklist:
Humanoid
Striving for Destruction
Autosarcophagy
The Eyes of Worms
Apophis
Reflected by the Void
Deiquisitor
Atomic Assassins
Praise the Lord

DEIQUISITOR:
Drums: Henrik B.C
Guitar and vocals: Thomas F.J
Bass and vocals: Daniel A

DEIQUISITOR was formed in 2013 by Henrik B.C and Thomas F.J, both of whom spent time in several Order of the Nonagram bands such as BLODFEST and WOLFSLAIR. The duo has returned to its roots in old-school death metal. Those familiar with Henrik and Thomas’ work in the Danish underground scene will recognize elements of the part appearing in their new material. DEIQUISITOR is fast-paced, aggressive, and atmospheric death metal influenced heavily by the sound and style of bands who ruled the genre in the early 90s.

ICARUS WITCH: Pittsburgh Traditional Metal Veterans Drop “10,000 Light Years From Home” Single/Lyric Video – New Album, “No Devil Lived On” Due In 2023 On Cleopatra Records

Posted in Heavy Metal, heavy metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music videos, news with tags , , , , , , , , on December 4, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s long-running traditional metal veterans ICARUS WITCH today drop a banger of a new single, “10,000 Light Years From Home,” as well as a captivating lyric video for the anthem. With this sci-fi-themed single, the band provides a glimpse into their futuristic folklore concept album slated for 2023 through Cleopatra Records.

UK’s Metal Hammer Magazine called ICARUS WITCH, “One of the best New Wave Of Traditional Metal Bands to carry the standard triumphantly into the future.” Today, the band is living up to that prediction as they unveil an animated video that takes place in a dystopian future, created in part with AI, set to an explosive trad metal track called “10,000 Light Years From Home.” This song was road-tested on festival stages around the world this year and showcases the first studio recording released by the band since 2018’s critically acclaimed LP, Goodbye Cruel World. The single marks another milestone for the band as it’s part of their first concept album, No Devil Lived On, which will be released next year.

Founding member Jason Myers sets the scene, “Though written at the height of the global pandemic, the messages in ‘10,000 Light Years From Home’ ring truer today than ever before. The lyrics are taken from the ship’s log of a crew on a doomed space voyage. The story takes place in the near future when an elite group of global government officials as well as several of the world’s wealthiest business leaders, and foreign royals take flight on a mission to escape the planet they helped decimate while seeking to colonize new worlds to satiate their egos and personal fortunes. Will these intergalactic robber barons accomplish their selfish cosmic agenda, or will the prophecy of Gaia’s mysterious occult council prevail? Tune in to find out.”

Featuring a guest spoken word section by Paul Messerle, the guitars and bass for “10,000 Light Years From Home” were recorded by Quinn Lukas at QL Audio, and the vocals and drums were recorded by Andrew D’Cagna at Sacred Sound Studio. The song was mixed and mastered by Brad Cox at Black Paw Studios. Aubrianna Myers handled the graphic design while Jason Myers produced the video using Midjourney AI illustrations animated by Emre Alan.

Watch ICARUS WITCH’s spellbinding “10,000 Light Years From Home” lyric video now at THIS LOCATION.

“10,000 Light Years From Home” is also available on all major streaming services today including Spotify HERE, Apple Music HERE, Amazon HERE, and more.

Watch for updates on ICARUS WITCH’s impending No Devil Lived On album to post in the months ahead.

New Album “Toxic Apokalypse” Out Now! via CDN Records

CD + Cassette & Vinyl Coming 2023

This past July in Toronto, ON at The Rockpile, Canadian thrashers Korrosive were opening support for legendary speed metal maniacs Exciter. During this epic show night, the band took the opportunity to capture the whole live experience for their fans. There were no corrections, overdubs, or tweaks made to the video. It is Korrosive being pure, raw, and unfiltered.

The band adds about the video:

“We like to thank our guitarist Jack Neila for directing and editing the video. He used five cameras to capture the whole show in glorious 4K, complete with stage diving, windmilling, and a massive wall-of-death. We like to also thank Jake Disman for recording the audio directly from the soundboard, and our producer Ben Erikson (he did both our albums) for the mix. The sound is crisp, clear, and heavy. Enjoy the headbanging!”

Watch the full set at https://youtu.be/-kM4XcuFrfU

Korrosive recently released their latest album “Toxic Apokalypse” via CDN Records (digital and CD) along with vinyl and cassette coming in 2023 (release date to be determined).

The new album is an aural brute-de-force of eight tracks ready to blitz the moshpit. Even though each song on the album is quite different in a way from the others, it’s all uniquely Korrosive. Songs deal with topics of science fiction, armageddon, and “what if” scenarios. For each track on the record, the band pushes them to new levels of velocity and extremity, from ‘Fatal Strike’, which has a ton of blast beats and solos, yet is still unmistakably thrash, to ‘Radioaktive Scourge’, filled with pure aggression, unlike anything they’ve released before. From its speed, the lyrics, and the sheer intensity, this song may be the shortest track on the record, but makes the largest impact and it’s over before you know it. And also strongly recommended is ‘Hail the Hellfire’, perhaps the band’s anthem to the entire “Toxic Apokalypse” album. Written as a reflection of the period when the full-length was being composed, this track discusses the brutality of war and the end result of each and every individual involved in its cause, regardless of side.

Recommended for fans of Sodom, Kreator, Death, and Sepultura, Korrosive is high-octane thrash that melds elements from extreme metal such as death and grind.

“Toxic Apokalypse” was produced by Ben Erikson with mastering done by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Kreator, Cro-Mags, Municipal Waste, Soulfly). The album artwork was created by the infamous Ed Repka (Dark Angel, Death, Hirax, Megadeth, Suicidal Angels, Venom).

GOATWHORE will be touring in support of their Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven full-length, released in October via Metal Blade Records. Unquestionably their fiercest, most accomplished album to date in sound, concept, and execution, the twelve-track offering earned the #9 position on Billboard’s Current Hard Music Albums chart upon its first week of release and stands among the most volatile and plainly dangerous records to come out of 2022.

Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven was produced by Jarrett Pritchard (Exhumed, 1349) and tracked primarily at Studio In The Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana under pandemic restrictions. Additionally, the band recruited acclaimed producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, High On Fire, Gatecreeper, Code Orange) to mix the record with final mastering duties handled by Grammy-award winning engineer Ted Jensen (Ghost, Gojira, Cult Of Luna). The record is tied together by the art of longtime collaborator Jordan Barlow whose cryptic use of sigils holds deeper meaning to the record’s totality.

Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven is available on CD, digitally, and LP on multiple color variants. Preview and purchase yours today at:http://metalblade.com/goatwhore.

The follow-up to 2020’s Magick & Mischief was recorded in February at Developing Nations in Baltimore, Maryland, with producer/engineer Kevin Bernsten. The album also marks the SPELLBOOK recording debut of their two new guitarists, Les Yarde and Patrick “Patty” Benton.

“The material has new life injected into it while still maintaining the adventurous ’70s hard rock sound we strive for,” says drummer Nick Zinn. “It certainly helped Les and Patty love Magick & Mischief and its no-rules approach. Yet, at the same time, Deadly Charms does seem a bit more focused. We love how the overall vibe has a more anthemic feel.”

Line-Up:

Nate Tyson – Vocals
Les Yarde – Guitar
Patrick “Patty” Benton – Guitar
Seibert Lowe Jr. – Bass
Nick Zinn – Drums

According to Zinn, the lyrical themes on Deadly Charms lean much heavier on horror and reality than the fantasy and fiction approach found in Magick & Mischief. The David Thiérrée (BEHEMOTH, MORTIIS, IHSAHN)-created artwork capably showcases these topics.

“The cover depicts an open spell book spewing forth witches, devils and other ghastly things,” notes Zinn. “These are all subject matters within Deadly Charms songs. We’ve been fortunate to work with so many great artists over the years on different albums dating back to our WITCH HAZEL days and enjoy the excitement of a new artist on each project we do.”

Magick & Mischief was released in the thick of the global pandemic. While it put a premature end to the band’s touring plans, it immediately cultivated a feverish critical following.

Epic Black Metal Band FROZEN DAWN Return With Their Fourth Full-Length Album

Posted in Black Metal, black metal bands, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , , on November 27, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Release Date – February 10th, 2023

This is the most ambitious and accomplished album by the Spanish black metal band Frozen Dawn who haven’t quite received the attention that they deserved in the past. Intense and sharp, their scintillating music is tempered by heart-rending melodies and leads, and it’s all beautifully strung together. You can listen to one of their heart-racing songs HERE and a longer one with a gorgeous finale HERE.

For a decade and a half, Frozen Dawn have been perfecting their sound which can be described as stirring, intense and scathing black metal tempered with melody and soaring leads. The members have used their experience in notable bands to create something that not only pays earnest tribute to the classic bands such as Dissection, Necrophobic, Sacramentum and Naglfar but also sounds contemporary in terms of structure and execution. They’ve bolstered the sound with death metal influences and even added slight thrash touches, ensuring that the music remains powerful, incisive and compelling.

The momentum remains unabated as the band pummels its way through nine elaborate tracks and a fitting cover of Necrophobic. Many bands have attempted to recreate this sound with varying degrees of success but clearly Frozen Dawn have excelled at it which is mainly due to their knack for meticulous songwriting that straddles heaviness with emotion, allowing them to enhance the expression and maintain the much-needed diversity for the style. This album is easily Frozen Dawn‘s best one yet and is head and shoulders above the rest of them where this kind of music goes in recent memory.

Israel’s TWISTED MIND Presents A Fiery New Brand Of Happy Metal With New EP “From Slave To Prophet”

Posted in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , on November 25, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

L- R – Lahav Zitiyat – Guitar, Oud, David Darash – Drums, Yanir Chmiel – Lead Vocals, Or Levy – Bass, Dan Saliman – Guitar, Bouzuki

Twisted Mind is an eclectic metal band influenced by a kaleidoscope of musicians that have inspired guitarist Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician of Yemenite and Moroccan-based heritage who grew up in a home where oriental music was frequently played. He formed the band in 2017 and in December, will have their debut album “From Slave To Prophet” ready to delight open-minded listeners around the world. The first single “Walked Through Hell”, captures the true essence of the band who shot the video in one night. They share their thoughts on the record and how they came up with the concept name:

“This EP is all about our timeline from where we started back then at the beginning of the pandemic and through the war of getting rock and roll less stigmatic. We strive to be the ones who will break the glass ceiling of musical genres. We didn’t come from great money and wealth. We are warriors, fighting hard and aiming to become something bigger, something which will bring a “word”. And while we are on our way, we try to inspire people to fight for their beliefs, unite for a cause, open their minds to other points of view and create amazing things together which will maybe make the world a better place.”

Every member of Twisted Mind is a great believer in the power of music and its ability to bring different worlds and traditions together. They hope and aspire that the new mix of cultures and sounds in their music will break the invisible wall and crush the stigmas between the genres and their rigid rules. Overall, “From Slave To Prophet” is something, fresh, and different.

This modern Israeli and self dubbed ‘Happy Metal’ band is recommended for anyone looking for something intriguing, and also for fans of Metallica, Muse, and Dhafer Youssef. The official video for “Walked Through Hell” is out now and the EP comes out on December 9, 2022.

Extreme Metal Music – One Man Black Metal TRYGLAV Announces New Album “The Ritual” Out Feb 2023

Posted in Black Metal, black metal bands, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , , , on November 25, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Extreme Metal Music is proud to announce the release of the one-man black metal band, Croatia’s Tryglav‘s second album “The Ritual” this coming February 2023 to follow the 2019 debut “Night of Whispering Souls” also released on the label.

All the music on “The Ritual” were written by founder Boris Behara with vocals entrusted to vocalist Callum Wright along with mixing and mastering by producer Rocco Pezzin. The songs on the sophomore record began their journey in 2018 as part of Behara’s love for black metal and horror imagery. After many re-compositions and re-arrangements along with interruptions from the world pandemic and his personal health with two open heart surgeries. , “The Ritual” will now see the light once again via Extreme Metal Music, a subsidiary of Italian label Rockshots Records.

After three years, a world pandemic, and two open heart surgeries, I’m proud that the album I worked hard on is finally seeing the light! This time I wanted something more than just individual horror stories, that’s why I worked so hard to put out an original concept story based on Plague Doctors, which are the trademark of this band since the beginning. This album has seen so many difficulties, but finally, after three long years, it’s here! I hope fans will enjoy it as much I did create it!”

Tryglav‘s sound is aggressive, melodic, modern, and emotionally epic black metal, and fans of its predecessor will notice a maturity in sound and lyrics. The story behind the album is set in the 17th century as Tryglav explains further:

“On a dark stormy night, a dying man sighed his last breath. Nothing his parents could do to save his life. A Plague Doctor was called. Four of them showed up, taking the dead body with them. The family knew that they would never see him again. What they didn’t know was that he would come back, in an unimaginable way..”

Tryglav is recommended for fans of Dark Funeral, Dissection, and Uada.

HELLEVATE – “Purpose is Cruelty” EP Releases On January 14, 2023

Posted in Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , , , on November 24, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Kansas City thrashers HELLEVATE will kick off 2023 with the release of The Purpose is Cruelty. The band’s newest EP features five aggressive tracks of classic speed/thrash metal with a modern attack. A violent hybrid of East Coast and Bay Area thrash, The Purpose of Cruelty shows why HELLEVATE has been called “a new hope for thrash” (All Around Metal).

Playing melodic thrash metal with a mixture of extreme and power metal thrown in to keep listeners on their toes, HELLEVATE draws from across the spectrum of sounds to forge the most potent of heavy metal. The band was formed in the late 2000s by guitarist Dan Whitmer, and while it has experienced several lineup changes, the band has found its superior form with the addition of Zack Burke, Joshua Cole, RJ Whitmer, and new singer Robert Browne.

HELLEVATE’s debut was released in 2012 and was followed up in 2014 with the EP Kill Confirmed and the album Weapons Against Their Will in 2016. Singles “Last of the Fell” and “Krampusnacht” were released in 2018 and 2019, respectively. The band’s new EP, The Purpose Is Cruelty, is the culmination of the work the band has put in up to this point. Packed with riffs across a spectrum of sounds and the razor-sharp vocals of Robert, HELLEVATE seeks to make a statement with the release.

The band has established itself by sharing the bill with many nationally touring bands, including Exodus, Kreator, Accept, Overkill, Destruction, Ghoul, Venom Inc., and Danzig, just to name a few. With a great lineup and a bright future ahead of them, HELLEVATE continues to grow as a musical force in the metal world and intends to dominate and annihilate for many years to come.

The Purpose is Cruelty will be out on January 14, 2023.

Tracklist:
The Purpose is Cruelty

The world’s favorite hard rock monsters, LORDI, who are currently busy touring Europe, are gearing up for the next chapter of their spooky discography. Today, the horde is proud to announce their signing to Atomic Fire Records. While their current seven-CD(!) album box, Lordiversity, was released just one year ago, the famed Finnish group led by mastermind Mr. Lordi have fully seized their time at home during the pandemic to record a follow-up album that will see the light of day in Spring 2023.

LORDI comments, “We are damn proud to announce that LORDI are joining the impressive ranks of Atomic Fire Records! We’re quite psyched up to stir the pots with Markus Wosgien, Flori Milz, and their fantastic team. Leaving AFM Records (thanks a million, Jochen) was not an easy decision for us since the support there was always great! Stay tuned monster maniacs — the next era is all set and ready and awaiting just right around the corner…”

Atomic Fire Records label founder/A&R Markus Wosgien adds, “With LORDI, we are happy to welcome another heavyweight of the heavy metal scene to Atomic Fire Records. Twenty years ago, their fantastic debut Get Heavy was released and you simply had to love them! The combination of their monster image with traditional ’80s metal was a real joy on every single one of their albums and is always a guarantee for a true metal inferno live on stage. What Mr. Lordi and his monster clan recently created on the seven-CD package Lordversity still leaves me speechless and will probably never be seen again in this form. We are looking forward to the next chapter with some new monster anthems par excellence!”

New LORDI tunes will come your way soon. In the meantime, you can catch the band live on their European Lordiversitour currently underway and the newly announced The Tour To End All Tours run with Sabaton and Babymetal. IMMORTAL GUARDIAN – Issue New Single/Music Video For “Perfect Person”

4th new song offered from the Power/Progressive Metal band’s upcoming new album

As Power/Progressive Metal band IMMORTAL GUARDIAN continues building their next opus, the group issues “Perfect Person” as the fourth sample of their new work. Recording independently and remotely the quartet is assembling the follow-up to 2021’s successful ‘Psychosomatic’ track-by-track and sharing the material as it completes, along with visually captivating music videos, that again the self-contained group produces themselves.

“Perfect Person” is available now for streaming/download at all digital platforms or watch the video at https://youtu.be/MRTrNHlC90A or below:

I grew up in a very religious Mexican family. It was a big part of our lives, especially every Sunday morning when we went to church,” explains guitarist/keyboardist Gabriel Guardian. “But one day, our pastor had a heart attack while in the middle of a sexual act cheating on his wife and died right there in the church after-hours. It was absolutely bonkers and I remember it really stirred up the moral point-of-views in our tiny Texas town.We stopped going to church after that and really started questioning why we were there, to begin with. You see, some Christians had such a bad taste of the church that they left religion altogether and felt lied to and deceived, while others said the Christian thing to do would be to forgive him and move on and find another church. It was super interesting to grow up and watch both sides of this play out. This made a very interesting topic to write about and it definitely fueled the spark for ‘Perfect Person.’

At the end of the day, it is about NOT over-idolizing and over-glorifying religious figures, politicians, celebrities, even musicians, and the like. I wonder if that pastor had just lived his life and died a non-religious man, nobody would have been bothered, but because everyone sought this man’s advice every week, got baptized by him, got married by him, and put his words and lifestyle on a pedestal, it made it that much more devastating. Everyone can pin a local ‘icon’ in their minds as a perfect figure that could do no wrong and preach endless golden words when in fact, he is just a mortal man with mortal sin.”

Heavy topics are not unfamiliar to Immortal Guardian whose previous album focused on the Covid pandemic, likely the first full album to be thematically linked to the disease and its effect on the globe and its people. In the past year, Immortal Guardian has revealed three brand new songs — “Ozona,” “Echoes” and “Southern Rain” forming a basis for their next conceptual piece. The band will continue to share new material as the creative process proceeds to build up to a follow-up full-length traditional album planned for 2023. More info will be released by Immortal Guardian and M-Theory Audio in the weeks and months to follow, including new tour dates. https://www.facebook.com/igmetal/.

NARCOTIC WASTELAND – Concert Review And Photo Gallery – From October 29, 2022 At King Of Clubs In Columbus Ohio

Dallas Toler-Wade – lead singer & guitarist (photo credit Stone/Metal Odyssey)

Dallas Toler-Wade and his Metal band NARCOTIC WASTELAND invaded Columbus Ohio on October 29th, opening for the powerhouse ACCEPT. Over 500 (announced) die-hard Metal maniacs assembled at The King Of Clubs on this evening, well prepared for the Metal onslaught that was to be unleashed. I was eagerly one of them. I was not denied… NARCOTIC WASTELAND pummeled my Metal senses into submission. Yes they did.

Joseph Howard – drummer & backing vocals – (photo credit: Stone/Metal Odyssey)

Between Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati Ohio, there are TONS of music clubs and venues. With that said, I’ve never been to The King Of Clubs before this night. I’ll say this venue is very spacious, with a full bar, an upstairs dining area, outdoor sitting area and a large stage. I was impressed by The King Of Clubs and their entire staff. A first-class music venue.

Here’s a 57 second snippet (below) of NARCOTIC WASTELAND live that night. Enjoy.

Video credit: Stone/Metal Odyssey

Dallas Toler-Wade is a Metal warrior, having been an 18 year member of the brutally legendary NILE. He commanded the stage with a formidable presence and (obviously) appeared to be having a tremendous time singing and playing at every second. The crowd and band fed off each other and that’s what ignited the energy level to high. No doubt in my mind, NARCOTIC WASTELAND performed like a headliner on this night.

Brett Lee – guitarist (photo credit: Stone/Metal Odyssey)

As a live band, NARCOTIC WASTELAND plays like a cohesive Metal unit and delivers a skull numbing Death Metal attack. I’ve seen many live shows; yet I haven’t been this impressed and had this much fun since I saw CRYPTOPSY some years back.

With new singles released (“Morality and the Wasp” and “The Best Times Have Passed”) prior to this show, NARCOTIC WASTELAND also have 2 previously released studio albums to draw material from. Their blend of Death meets Thrash with threads of Trad Metal blends flawlessly together. I applaud each band member for giving it ALL at King Of Clubs that night and look forward to seeing them live again on their next tour.

Metal be thy name – Stone
