Moon Tooth family,

It’s been a week since we made the announcement we would have to be dropping off the Cave In show at Gramercy Theatre due to an emergency. While it wasn’t very detailed, we went through an intense and honestly terrifying experience with one of our members. We were hoping that by this time everything would be back to “normal,” and Nick Lee would be able to address the situation and explain everything to you on his own. Unfortunately, that is not the reality at this time. It’s not easy to write this, and there is no way to sugarcoat the situation so we’re just going with honesty.

On Thursday afternoon (July 21), we met up for rehearsal and to prep for the following night’s show. Nick seemed like his normal self but mentioned how exhausted he was and how he had been sort of foggy and confused the last 24 hours. We agreed to run the set but finish early so he could get some rest and sleep it off. While setting up our gear we were walking in and out of the rooms at the studio and at some point, Nick had fallen and hit his head. While looking through security camera footage after the fact, we learned that Nick had a seizure and fell hitting his head on a bass drum. We had found him just moments after it had happened, and immediately called an ambulance to rush him to the nearest hospital. By the time the EMT’s arrived he had suffered a second seizure.

Here we are a week later, and sadly things have taken a turn for the worse. He has been suffering from seizures every night escalating to the point of needing to be intubated and essentially put in a medically induced coma to give his body a chance to heal. The doctors continue to take many tests to properly diagnose Nick while keeping him as stable as possible in order to heal. The cause of all this still remains unclear, and a very confusing situation as it came out of nowhere. Nick has absolutely no history of medical problems like these. Aside from the grind of touring life, Nick lives as healthy a lifestyle as anyone. We have all seen him running, climbing, and jumping on stages all over the country, occasional yoga, hiking, etc..

Nick’s fiancé, Lianna, and his family have been at his side the entire week. Providing as much love and comfort as humanly possible. Keeping us updated as we all continue to navigate this whole ordeal.

If you had the opportunity to know Nick, you know he has always been loving, compassionate, and would do anything and everything he could to care for his friends and family. No matter what the situation he would always be there to talk and be leaned on offering any support and comfort he could. We can’t put into words how much Nick has done for the three of us, how he continued to inspire and push us to our greatest potential. Nick lives and breathes for what we do, and has impacted the lives of many with his love and art.

Now is the time to help our brother. While the doctors and hospitals are still trying to narrow down what causes his symptoms and bring him back to normal health, the medical bills stack higher and higher. It may take some significant time to recover from this as we are still getting more details. We wanted to start this campaign to get a step ahead of the matter, so he may focus on his health and returning to normalcy without the stress and burden of a massive amount of debt piled against him.

We know this is rough to digest, but we will all get through this together. Moon Tooth is family, and we will do whatever it takes to take care of one another. We love you, we’re here for you, and as always, we greatly appreciate your support.

The album will be available on vinyl for the first time in a limited edition blue variant and digitally streaming for the first time. Pre-orders are available HERE.

Lindsay comments:

“When I first recorded and released this EP I did not account for the fact that one day it was going to turn 10. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that a decade has come and gone. Luckily, my team and I caught before the big anniversary had a chance to pass us by.

For years the fans have been asking me to print this first release on vinyl, and here it finally is! Remastered just for the occasion. You can now experience the same songs from 10 years ago with a new sound and look.

Thanks to Phantasma Photography the Vinyl comes with new artwork too. Anyone who pre-orders the vinyl from my official shop gets it signed and personally addressed and will also receive a download of the 2022 version of “December Rain.”

I’m thrilled to celebrate my debut as a solo artist in such a special way a whole decade later.”

Can you hear the roaring sea? Hitting the shores on August 12th via Atomic Fire Records is SEVENTH STORM’s debut studio album, Maledictus, which fuses melancholic gothic metal with harsh hard rock. In advance of the record’s official unveiling, today the band reveals second single, “Haunted Sea,” a soaring track that serves as the beginning of a dramatic journey into the unknown.

Comments drummer Mike Gaspar, “‘Haunted Sea’ takes us on a voyage through the treacherous waters. Overcoming the dangers and fears of this life. There’s no other way out but to fight through the waves to reach dry land. Finding love and peace for all. This song was the first to be written as a band. The strength and unity is what we bring to life in this epic story! We, SEVENTH STORM, salute all and invite you to discover this dark treasure. Hail to the winds and waters that fill our souls. There is no turning back!”

For The 13-Track Collection, The Legendary Guitarist And Hollywood Vampires Co-Founder Record A Range Of Covers That Touch On Motown, The Beach Boys, John Lennon, The Velvet Underground, Killing Joke, And More, Along with Two Depp Original Compositions

First Single, The Depp Original “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr” Is Out Today

Jeff Beck And Johnny Depp Are Currently On Tour In Europe Through July 25th

LOS ANGELES – Jeff Beck found a kindred spirit in Johnny Depp when the two met in 2016. They bonded quickly over cars and guitars and spent most of their time together trying to make each other laugh. At the same time, Beck’s appreciation grew for Depp’s serious songwriting skills and his ear for music. That talent and their chemistry convinced Beck they should make an album together.

Depp agreed and they started in 2019. Over the next three years, they recorded a mix of Depp originals along with a wide range of covers that touches on everything from Celtic and Motown to the Beach Boys and Killing Joke. In 2020, during the pandemic, they previewed their collaboration with their well-timed cover of John Lennon’s “Isolation.”

The duo’s 13-track album, dubbed 18, will arrive on July 15. Beck explains the album title: “When Johnny and I started playing together, it really ignited our youthful spirit and creativity. We would joke about how we felt 18 again so that just became the album title too.”

18 will be available on CD and digitally, with a 180-gram black vinyl version coming on September 30. The cover features an illustration of Beck and Depp as 18-year-olds that was drawn and designed by Beck’s wife Sandra.

Leading up to the release of 18, Beck has launched a European tour, with Depp as a special guest, which will conclude on July 25 at L’Olympia in Paris.

For the last 12 years Depp has recorded and toured with the Hollywood Vampires, a band he started with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry. The supergroup has released two studio albums that include guest appearances by some of rock’s biggest names: Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, and Joe Walsh. The list also includes Beck, who played guitar on “Welcome To Bushwackers,” a song on Rise, the Vampires’ second album, which came out in 2019.

Soon after, Depp asked Beck to play lead on a tune he’d written, the album’s first single “This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr,” an homage to the actress/inventor. Beck says it was the catalyst for the collaboration and is one of his favorite songs on the new album. “I was blown away by it,” he says. “That song is one of the reasons I asked him to make an album with me.” The track is available today digitally, along with an accompanying music video. Click here to view now.

Of Beck, Depp adds, “It’s an extraordinary honor to play and write music with Jeff, one of the true greats and someone I am now privileged enough to call my brother.”

In the studio, Beck says he and Depp challenged each other to leave their comfort zones with the songs they chose to cover. “I haven’t had another creative partner like him for ages,” Beck says. “He was a major force on this record. I just hope people will take him seriously as a musician because it’s a hard thing for some people to accept that Johnny Depp can sing rock and roll.”

Depp justifies Beck’s faith on the new album by showing off his incredible emotional range on songs like The Velvet Underground’s “Venus In Furs,” the Everly Brothers’ ballad “Let It Be Me” and Marvin Gaye’s soul classic “What’s Going On.” On the instrumentals, Beck demonstrates why he’s universally revered as a guitar god with stunning versions of Davy Spillane’s “Midnight Walker” and two songs from the Beach Boys’ masterpiece, Pet Sounds – “Caroline, No” and “Don’t Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder).”

Finnish Hard Rock Band RIMBACHER Hits The Core Essence Of Rock music

Posted in classic rock, Hard Rock, hard rock bands, Heavy Metal, Music, music news, music videos, news with tags , , , , , , , , on June 16, 2022 by Metal Odyssey

Last Breath Of Rock ’N’ Roll is a retrospective to the moment when you heard Rock music for the first time.

Rimbacher is a band from central Finland that has built it’s foundations to traditional 80’s rock music. During spring 2022 the band has released couple of singles from their upcoming debut album. “Cocaine Eyes & Nicotine Stains” introduce the hybrid sound of Aussie Rock and 80’s Hair Rock, heavily riffing “Chasing Ghosts” and catchy rock anthem “Loving You (Is Loving A Broken)”.

”’Last Breath of Rock ‘N’ Roll’ represents the style of music that was my first personal touch to Rock music. This song is about the spontanious reaction that young guy felt when he listened to Rock music for the first time. So we made really rough and stripped song out of it – a tribute to the deepest essence of Rock. So raise your fist in the air and move your head!” singer Niko Rimbacher enthusiastically tells.

“Even as the track title refers to the ending of life the whole idea is actually the opposite. It’s about how to fill the huge gap that the current rock legends will leave after retiring and leaving the field open. And how to respect that heritage with total dedication” bass player and lyricist Reisca Morani continues.

The band also releases a music video that is built from the footage filmed on the Rimbacher shows.
