Louisville thrash metal miscreants BELUSHI SPEED BALL have announced their fourth album, Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The ’80s, arriving June 5, just in time for the band to celebrate by terrorizing audiences the following day at Milwaukee Metal Fest.
The band’s latest shameless cash grab features artwork by Andrei Bouzikov (known for his work with Municipal Waste, Toxic Holocaust, and High on Fire) and packs 12 ball-busting tracks guaranteed to leave your jaw broken while you claw your way out of the pit at some questionably ventilated basement show.
Commenting on the record, vocalist Vinny Castellano says:
“We are so excited to drop our strongest album to date! Toxic Waste Was Everywhere in the ‘80s is guaranteed to melt faces into a plutonium level pizza pit. For context: We will have to release a blank greatest hits album prior to this drop. We ain’t had a hit yet, and this entire album will be nothing but banger hits after banger hits. In addition, we are proud to announce Belushi’s newest additions: Bassist, Justin McClure and drummer, Ben Cotton (Rose Funeral, SIDS) will be joining the chaos for their recording debut. Making this LP a must have for any crossover thrash fan.”
First revealed at Lambgoat, BELUSHI SPEED BALL has also unleashed the album’s first single and video, “I Ought Not Know.” The song serves as a deeply philosophical dissertation examining one of modern music’s most pressing questions: how exactly did Dave Coulier respond to Alanis Morissette’s immortal breakup anthem “You Oughta Know”? The band may not have the answer, but they’re more than happy to thrash about it for three minutes anyway.
Castellano adds about the song:
“Allegedly, this is the song Dave Coulier would have wrote (if he liked Pizza, Thrash, and had musical talent). At least pretty sure this is the response to Alanis writing “You Oughta Know”. Which has been the highlight of Uncle Joey’s career up until this point. We also want to congratulate Dave Coulier on his recent cancer remission. Proudly, Belushi Speed Ball, presents a music video with stop motion clay chaos, thanks to artist Adam Laughlin. And before anyone asks, No AI has been used! Enjoy.”
Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The 80’s – Track List:

About BELUSHI SPEED BALL:
Belushi Speed Ball is a Kentucky-based band founded in 2013 as a studio project amongst friends with a penchant for cliché crossover thrash. Their first live performances came soon after, enthralling a rapidly growing fanbase with a uniquely interactive brand of theatrics and unorthodox approach to releases and merch.
Dubbed “one of the funniest fucking things I have heard this year” by The Needle Drop’s Anthony Fantano, Belushi Speed Ball are inspired by bands from Toxic Holocaust and Anthrax to Gwar and Municipal Waste, to whom they simultaneously play homage and satirize a mean comment from a fan in their song “Ripping off Municipal Waste”, which was voted one of Leo Magazine’s top 20 songs of 2022. With a reputation for both trashing venues and meticulously cleaning them up after each individually themed performance, Belushi Speed Ball are masters of executing the unthinkable.
From playing out of a Mad Max-esque moving van and starting Terminator-inspired 300-person Nerf gun fights to releasing entire albums in N64… or Furby… formats, nothing is sacred as they continue evolving as, in the words of Metalsucks, “a freakshow of blistering thrash dedicated to laughing its ass off at blistering thrash.”

Forged in 1986, EXHORDER’s journey has proven exciting, yet tumultuous. After a twenty-seven-year absence following their final Roadrunner Records release in 1992, EXHORDER re-entered the game with an album considered by many to be a contender for the “Best Comeback Album” category. The band released Mourn The Southern Skies in October of 2019 through Nuclear Blast Records.
Fraught with euphoric peaks and crippling valleys throughout its existence, lineup changes and the 2020-2021 pandemic, EXHORDER clawed back through the muck to release Defectum Omnium, the Latin phrase for “The Failure of All,” in 2024. “The world is a dumpster fire, and we are all complicit,” noted singer Kyle Thomas when elaborating on the title. Produced by EXHORDER and mixed by Jens Bogren, Defectum Omnium puts a foot back into the roots of the band’s inception.
NEW SINGLE/VIDEO, “FATAL PATH,” STREAMING NOW! + ON TOUR THIS SPRING W/BLEED FROM WITHIN & SYLOSIS
Texas’ incendiary crossover thrash metal band LIFE CYCLES is back with a new EP, No One Escapes Death, due out March 27th via 1126 Records. Following a string of relentless singles and EP’s and countless ferocious live shows over the last decade, the five-piece continues their warpath, showing no mercy on their latest release, comprised of 6 face-melting tracks that feature the band’s signature concoction of brutal thrash, hardcore and death metal.
Commenting on the record, drummer Xavier Rios says:
“This record is an expansion of our crossover sound with a focus on groove and detail in the riffs. We really wanted to display the journey we’ve been on as a band the last couple of years through this project. The energy is on 10 and we have a little bit of new flavor this time around.”
In late 2025, LIFE CYCLES gave fans a preview of the new EP with the massively heavy single, “The End Still Waits.” Today, the band ups the ante with another sonic assault, “Fatal Path,” accompanied by the music video below.
Vocalist Luis Lopez Jr discusses the track’s lyrics:
“‘Fatal Path’ is about the evil persuasive ways of lust. Letting it drag you to dark places, it tricks you into believing it’s more than just pleasure, ultimately pulling back the curtain and showing that it was all an illusion.“
1. Hell Beneath (ft. Josh Middleton of Sylosis) 2. Fatal Path 3. No Man’s Land 4. Mouth Of Doubt 5. Soul In Chains (ft. Matt Heafy of Trivium) 6. The End Still Awaits
LIFE CYCLES will join BLEED FROM WITHIN, SYLOSIS and GREAT AMERICAN GHOST on tour this spring, in support of the new EP, No One Escapes Death. Tickets are available now at: https://www.bleedfromwithin.com/tour-dates/.

About LIFE CYCLES: San Antonio thrash prodigies Life Cycles are doubling down on their classic Texas sound with 2026’s No One Escapes Death.
The crew’s take on classic Texas thrash is excellent, pairing mean riffs with technical precision while never losing sight of the infectious groove that dominates the sound.
“We write music that we genuinely like,” said vocalist Luis Lopez. “That we would listen to, instead of trying to be like something else. This group doesn’t operate in a box—we write the music that we like to hear.”
The record perfectly captures the energy of the group’s live shows.
“It’s a party when we play,” explained drummer Xavier Rios. “I always tell people that don’t like metal ‘come to these shows’ because you’re going to have a good time.”
My first taste of the invincible OVERKILL was their second studio album Taking Over. Released back in 1987, this masterpiece of thrash metal has stood the test of Metal time, for me. Taking Over should be filed under mandatory old-school Metal, if one is to create such a list.
I purchased this album first on vinyl at a regional record store chain called Strawberries Records & Tapes, while living in Connecticut. This retail chain no longer exists, closing its doors in 2006. Years later I bought Taking Over on CD. I never owned this gem on cassette.
My favorite song on Taking Over is the powerful thrash hym: In Union We Stand. To this very day, this song galvanizes my Metal soul and creates positive chills through my body. Electro-Violence encapsulates everything that a thrash song should be; speed, aggression, explosive and short guitar solos with a blistering rhythm section that induces moshing and head-banging madness.
Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth is still my favorite thrash vocalist of all-time. I always felt that his vocals are so unique that no other vocalist remotely sounds like him. This OVERKILL lineup, with Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth were truly pioneering and legendary, with drummer Rat Skates, bassist D. D. Verni and guitarist Bobby Gustafson.
• Taking Over is the last OVERKILL studio album that drummer Rat Skates would perform on.

Australian death/thrash duo BATTLEGRAVE are set to return with their third and most devastating full-length release to date.
Enslavement delivers 10 tracks of unbridled and vitriolic, death-laden thrash metal. This relentless barrage of calculated venom, intense riffing, and punishing rhythmic precision further cements the band’s reputation for uncompromising extremity.
Lyrically tied to themes of violence and aggression, Enslavement weaves an interlocking narrative of a subterranean demon harvesting human souls to satiate its unending hunger. This conceptual core adds a sinister layer beneath the album’s sonic brutality.
Fans can experience a sample of what’s to come with the album’s first single, “Bonesaw.”
The band comments on the song: “Bonesaw’ delivers an aural assault on the listener, with all the power of a screwdriver plunged into the eardrum. Delving into the world of dismemberment, the track lyrically focuses on the evolution of medical tools in forensic pathology and features razor sharp riffage, a chaotic drum performance, two skin ripping solos and a vocal attack aimed directly for the jugular. Prepare to be taken apart piece by piece with the bonesaw.”

Independent label powerhouse M-Theory Audio is thrilled to announce the signing of Long Island metal force EXTINCTION A.D. To kick off this new chapter, the band will release their fierce new single “Dead Men Running” on all streaming/download platforms setting the stage for an explosive year ahead.
“The band is excited to be working with M-Theory Audio because we have a very specific outline for the entirety of 2026 and how we want to attack the entire year. Finding the right group to be in the foxhole with us for this marathon was extremely important,” reveals singer/guitarist Rick Jimenez.
“Dead Men Running is all about diving headfirst into what you know is right for you despite all opposition from the outside world as well as internal conflict. The journey towards self-actualization is insanely difficult but there is no greater goal to seek.”
Fans should expect a blistering sonic attack and a message of resilience at the core of the track’s explosive energy.
Since forming in 2013 in Medford, Long Island from the ashes of This Is Hell, EXTINCTION A.D. has forged a reputation for relentless crossover thrash infused with hardcore urgency and socially charged themes. Over the past decade the band has grown from raw underground roots to sharing stages with respected acts and carving out a distinct voice in the modern metal landscape.
Critics and metal media have taken note of the band’s evolving ferocity and musical identity. Their 2018 single “Age of Revenge” was celebrated by MetalSucks as a “tornado track” with a chorus “menacing, anthemic, and catchier than a bear trap,” suggesting that “thrash’s future looks bright” with a band like EXTINCTION A.D. at the helm.
Earlier releases, on labels like Good Fight and Unique Leader, further showcased the band’s capability to merge fierce riff work with emotional and thematic depth. Their output has drawn comparisons to powerful East Coast thrash and hardcore hybrids, with critics praising their raw energy and ability to keep the classic thrash ethos alive while pushing it forward.
Thrashing just as hard as their predecessors, the band also break their surroundings down and deliver some heavy as hell riotous mosh; hitting that all-important sweet spot mixture of ‘80s thrash, ‘90s extreme metal and New York hardcore, all encompassed into one. Never afraid to speak their minds amidst a divisive world, EXTINCTION A.D. brings a decisive power to match their frenetic energy. The endgame is not just rebellion but revolution.

CYCLONE are an underrated cult favorite amongst metal fans having released two solid thrash albums in 1986 and 1990. The Belgian band has now added a new 5-song EP, Known Unto God, to their arsenal. Available online or in stores Known Unto God showcases immediately intense and infectious intensity throughout, sure to please fans of thrash, hardcore and traditional speed metal. Check out their new lyric video for “Nothing Is Real” for more proof.
Known Unto God is available as a limited (200) silver bullet colored vinyl (with download code) or as Digipak CD via M-Theory Audio. Order now at: www.m-theoryaudio.com
The 5 new songs were all written by core members singer Guido Gevels and guitarist Stefaan Daamen and recorded by Guido backed by a younger and invigorated lineup with vocal and drum production, along with mix and mastering handled by Martin Furia (Destruction, Nervosa, Evil Invaders). The artwork of Known Unto God is courtesy of Ivan S. Bragin (October Tide, The Gathering).
The first chapter of CYCLONE history dates back to 1980 when 5 teenagers obsessed with NWOBHM decided to start a band. Experience they have not, but enthusiasm aplenty. A few years later, and after a series of shows with then established Acid, the quintet release their In The Grip of Evil demo – a cornerstone of European extreme metal.
The demo is supported by opening slots for Anthrax, Overkill, Agent Steel, Kreator and Destruction which leads to label interest with the band choosing to sign with Roadrunner Records. The monstrous Brutal Destruction is released followed by tours supporting Metallica and Slayer.
Times change, people change and hard choices have to be made, resulting in Guido and Stefaan working with three new players on 1990’s ‘Inferior To None.’ A European tour with Blessed Death is made to support the album, followed by another continental run with Sadus, The Obsessed and The Accused but by 1993 CYCLONE decide to call it quits. Now with a new lease on life and today’s release CYCLONE continue to write their story.

The architect of crossover thrash is back. Nameless Grave Records is proud to announce the official release of the self-titled debut from SUBVERSION TRIGGER, the new Seattle-based powerhouse led by Les Evans (Cryptic Slaughter). The album will be available on CD and Cassette on February 25th, with pre-orders launched!
“I wanted to get back to something that felt immediate and dangerous,” says Evans regarding the project. “Subversion Trigger is the sound of us not overthinking it. Just raw, crossover energy with the volume pushed past the limit.”
For fans of the blistering speed of Municipal Waste, Excel, Cryptic Slaughter and the manic delivery of The Accüsed, this release is an essential addition to the crossover canon. With the digital version already circulating, these limited physical editions serve as the definitive “artifact” for collectors and die-hards alike.
Hungarian speed maniacs TÜRBÖWITCH have announced that their third full-length album, Under Haunted Skies, will be released on March 20th, 2026, via Time To Kill Records.
The new record marks a decisive step forward for the Budapest-based band, further refining the uncompromising attitude and relentless live energy that have earned them a strong reputation within the European underground. With Under Haunted Skies, TÜRBÖWITCH deliver their most focused and ferocious material to date: a concentrated blast of massive riffs, breakneck tempos and instinctive urgency.
Rooted in blackened speed-thrash, the album draws from the raw savagery and punk-fueled aggression of acts like Midnight, the razor-sharp thrash precision of The Crown, and the dark melodic drive of Hellripper, while maintaining a clearly identifiable personality. Melodic accents cut through the chaos, adding depth and character without ever dulling the band’s visceral impact.
Faithful to their no-compromise ethos, TÜRBÖWITCH channel the spirit of ’80s extreme metal through a modern sense of immediacy, delivering songs that are fast, filthy and built for maximum impact. With Time To Kill Records backing the release of Under Haunted Skies, the band are poised to bring their unholy speed assault to a wider audience, while remaining firmly rooted in the reckless intensity that has defined them since day one.
“The moment of evil’s arrival. Markoláb, the Devourer of the celestial sphere of old folklore, sweeps across the earth. Human civilization collapses into dust: fire, shadow, and unavoidable destruction. The apocalypse is no longer a prophecy, it is reality”.
Track-list:
01 – Evoker of the Twilight 02 – Markoláb 03 – Under Haunted Skies 04 – Cult Mastery 05 – Ashbringer 06 – Highways of Death 07 – Ultimate Failure of Will 08 – When the World Crumbled 09 – Moshpit at the End of the Day 10 – Road to Resilience
We have fantastic news for our Chinese fans in Beijing: we will be back for our third time on February 8th. The permit for the concert took a little time, that is why the announcement comes in so late but YES the rumors were true.
