Italian heavy metal band Crying Steel have announced that they have signed to Underground Symphony Records for the release of their upcoming album.
The 5th studio album is scheduled to be released in January 2023 in deluxe digital format. Further information will be revealed soon.
Underground Symphony is also based in Italy and is known to have released material from bands such as Sabaton, Labyrinth, Manilla Road, White Skull among others.
The band commented: “We are honoured to be joining Underground Symphony’s roster and have a feeling we will have a fruitful relationship. After being stuck at home during the pandemic lockdowns, we can’t wait to show you the new music we cooked up. Stay Steel!”
Crying Steel was formed in 1982 and is considered to be one of the very first heavy metal acts to come out of Italy. The band’s discography includes: Crying Steel (1985), On the Prowl (1987), The Steel is Back! (2007), Time Stands Steel (2013), Stay Steel (2018) and Steel Alive (2019).
Crying Steel will be performing at Boyler Fest, Bologna (17th September), Sheratan Live Club, Carpi (24th September), Metropolis Live Club, Frosinone (7 October) and Let it Beer, Rome (8 October) with more dates to be announced soon.

CRYSTAL VIPER are back! The Polish Heavy Metallers are returning after a 4 year absence, which was caused by the health issues relating to the band’s front woman and founder, Marta Gabriel, and which placed the future of CRYSTAL VIPER into question, (last year Marta underwent surgery of her nasal and facial sinuses), “The witch is back” however, sounding stronger, heavier and louder than ever before…!
On February 17, 2017, AFM RECORDS will release CRYSTAL VIPER‘s new concept album entitled “Queen Of The Witches”. The album, which will be available as a limited edition vinyl LP, CD and digital download, has been produced by Bart Gabriel – producer known for his collaboration with acts such as CIRITH UNGOL, MYTHRA and SACRED STEEL (and within their private lives, Marta’s husband), and engineered and mixed by Mariusz Pietka (JACK STARR’S BURNING STARR, LONEWOLF, MORTICIAN). The album’s cover artwork has been created by the legendary German artist, Andreas Marschall (RUNNING WILD, BLIND GUARDIAN, KREATOR). The first single from the new album will be entitled “The Witch Is Back”, and will be available in December. On February 18, 2017, the band will play an exclusive headlining live show in Munich, Germany, at the Heavy Metal Calling Festival, which will be an official release party for the new album.
In other news Marta Gabriel, the band’s singer and guitarist who has once again written all of the songs on the new album, recently joined the ESP GUITARS family. In addition, all of the members of CRYSTAL VIPER have signed an endorsement deal with DEAN MARKLEY.

This new song from KAINE is so good, it has brought tears to my eyes. Fans of early Judas Priest, early Iron Maiden and Witch Cross etc. have to understand just how important of a song this is for their Metal library! Maybe this is too cliché to say only I don’t give a sweet and sour shit: KAINE kicks Metal ass. Period.

Jack Starr’s BURNING STARR, is an American Power Metal band formed in 1985 by the ex VIRGIN STEELE member and guitar wizard Jack Starr. Daniel Zimmermann also is the lead vocalist and he sings like a Metal giant! His vocals are stuff of conquer all and death to the Metal posers. I believe my Metal brethren reading this know what I mean and it’s Metal truth. Twelve delectable Heavy Metal songs are on the CD, with nine songs on the LP version. Hetoimasia is this album’s instrumental opener and it signals that the Metal power-surge is on! I just knew it was gonna be a great Metal ride upon my first listen and it only gets better with each Metal serving. Whoa.
Being their 5th studio album overall and first with Massacre Records, REAPER could not have found a better record label to call home. Celebrating their 30th anniversary on stage with this new album should catapult REAPER into our community’s Metal limelight; buying this mandatory Metal work and spreading the Metal word about REAPER should be on every Metalhead’s to-do list in 2014! Fest organizer Datis Alaee comments: “Crusader was brought to my attention by the former Chicago Thrash Metal guitarist Alex Manske of Degradation who played their penultimate Live show at Warriors Of Metal Fest V Open Air in 2012 and upon contacting and subsequently booking Crusader for our Pre-Fest Showcase, I was really impressed with the way these guys re-arranged their schedules at the last-minute so that they could come down to Ohio and rock our socks off. And if that was not enough, they stuck around and supported ALL the other bands that played that night. They only left the venue because we were getting kicked out and by then most of the other bands who played that night were already gone. That was very impressive to me so right then and there I vowed to bring them back to Ohio so that they could play on our main Fest stage in 2014!”

January 17, 2014 Cincinnati, Ohio – The Warriors of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization is excited to announce the confirmation of Maryland Power Metallers BURNING SHADOWS, whose awe-inspiring performance at 2012’s Pathfinder Metalfest V as a support band for the legendary Raven led to the Warriors Of Metal Fest organizer Datis Alaee to comment:
“I had known Burning Shadows for a while at that time since my friend Tim Regan had sent his band’s previous albums for air play on my Metal Messiah Radio show. But making our annual pilgrimage from Ohio to Georgia to support our friend Hoyt Parris with the 5th edition of his Pathfinder Promotions’ Metalfest series, Burning Shadows was a definite not-to-be-missed band for me and boy did those guys deliver!!! My neck was wrecked, my ass was kicked and my face was melted. Big kudos to Hoyt for such an awesome booking! SINISTER REALM – The third studio album from SINISTER REALM, World OfEvil, was released this past August 20th, via Shadow Kingdom Records. What a True Metal album it is! Filled with captivating songs that are all built on the foundation of Traditional Heavy Metal, World Of Evil has a cemented spot within the top 10 of Metal Odyssey’s Best Of Metal Albums list for 2013. Whoa.

As Germany’s heroes of true heavy metal, ATLANTEAN KODEX, prepare to proudly unveil their sophomore LP, The White Goddess (A Grammar Of Poetic Myth), today the first full single from the epic new opus is playing at Revolver Magazine; the mammoth eleven-minute “Sol Invictus (With Faith and Fire).”
Founding guitarist Manuel Trummer states of the magnificent tune: “‘Sol Invictus’ takes you on a trip through the dark underbelly of European folklore to a realm of fertility cults, fire-worship and corn-demons, older than Bethlehem and Babylon, older than dreaming Sumer and mankind itself. Now grab a beer, turn the volume to 11 and bang your head like a man possessed.”

The White Goddess (A Grammar Of Poetic Myth) will see stateside release on CD on October 1st, with the mammoth 2xLP version to follow shortly after. Outside of North America, Germany’s Ván Records will disburse the vinyl edition while Italy’s Cruz Del Sur will handle the CD release.
Self-described as falling somewhere between Twilight of the Gods-era Bathory, early Ross The Boss-era Manowar and other classic US bands like Fates Warning, Cirith Ungol and Warlord, ATLANTEAN KODEX retains a singular modernity and heaviness via their incredible production and recording technique, and through singer Markus Becker, who has the naturally blessed pipes to rival the best heavy metal vocalists past or present. There is no irony or pretense going on in their music; ATLANTEAN KODEX plays deeply reverent and devoted metal with an emphasis on superior, timeless songcraft. Continuing on 2010’s universally praised The Golden Bough, ATLANTEAN KODEX has built upon their sound to achieve an album like no other released in 2013.
Many bands and labels lay claim to the word “epic” to describe a particular band’s sound but on The White Goddess, their name becomes synonymous with the term in a way very bands ever manage. Drawing from traditional heavy metal, doom and Norse metal influences, The White Goddess achieves the bands strongest songwriting, lyrics, vocal performance and production yet, already nearly without equal on their previous LP.
