TWEEDLEDEAD is a new extreme metal entity from Italy. Intertwining elements from a vast swath of extreme music genres, from death metal, grindcore to black metal, and everything in between, the project masterfully crafts an eclectic sound that breaks down many generic barriers or borders.

The Fall headlining run, which commences on November 3rd in Little Rock, Arkansas, will wind its way through twenty cities through the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest, drawing to a close on November 26th in Pensacola, Florida. Support will be provided by Withered and Spiter. The journey follows the band’s tour supporting Eyehategod, currently underway.

Atlanta’s MASS DESTRUCTION METAL FEST VI Announces Full 3-Day Lineup

Destruction reigns this November when the Mass Destruction Metal Fest returns to Atlanta, GA. This year’s lineup threatens to be the heaviest to date, with appearances by Coven, Immolation, Autopsy, Pig Destroyer, Incantation, and more.

The fest runs November 3 – 5 at The Loft @ Center Stage in Atlanta. Check out the teaser video at this location.

Fest organizer Cody Martin comments on this year’s event:

“Mass Destruction Metal Fest started as a passion project to bring genre pioneers and the old guard along with fresh new bands to Atlanta, and some rare international treats that wouldn’t make it to our city otherwise. We’re now into our sixth year and have held true to that ethos.”

“This year we booked one of my all-time favorite bands, Autopsy! It’s unreal to be in contact with Chris (Drums/Vocals–who also had a stint in a ‘lil ole band named DEATH!) and then have him reach out ecstatic with the news of us booking Coven. It truly is magical when the bands are just as excited as the promoters who are just as excited as the fans.”

“We host Mass Destruction Metal Fest at The Loft @ Center Stage, which we feel allows for a more intimate experience for diehard fans and bands. You’re almost guaranteed to see one of the guys from Immolation or Incantation hanging around the venue before their sets. Most of 2020 was spent writing and recording at each others home during the pandemic shutdown. Narcotic Wasteland is excited to announce that they will be hitting the road this June for their “Don’t Meth With Texas Tour”, which will see the death thrashers performing four show dates starting on June 22nd in Denton, and rolling through Houston, Fort Worth and wrapping up on June 25th in Corpus Christi, TX.

Following the Texas tour, the band will be beginning their West Coast leg of summer touring with Gorgatron and pushing north to Canada for a performance at Loud As Hell Fest in Drumheller, AB with Jungle Rot, Incite, Necronomicon, The Convalescence and more. They will then continue across the Canadian lands for the month of August that will wrap up with three special dates with Flordia death metal legends Massacre in Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa. 2023 is going to be an exciting year for Narcotic Wasteland, not only is the band hitting the road they are will also in the works of releasing their third yet-to-be-titled album via Mega Force Records. EXNUN – Turkish Extreme Metallers Sign To Time To Kill Records

Time To Kill Records is proud to announce the signing of Istanbul, Türkiye’s extreme metal stalwarts EXNUN.

The band is currently putting the finishing touches to new material, which will be released in 2023.

The foundations of EXNUN were laid by bassist and vocalist Can Temiz in 2018 as a project that blends many different genres of metal on the axis of hardcore punk and death metal. In 2019, their first album “Decomposition Of An Infant Soul” was released. The album drew a lot of attention in the Turkish local scene and was critically acclaimed by the Turkish reviewers. One of the songs from the album, “Rape of God” was chosen by the Canadian YouTube channel Banger TV viewers to be the theme song for the Banger TV show “Overkill Global” by a landslide

The band took its final form with the participation of Ozan Çam (Kozmik Yıkım) on guitars and vocals in 2019, Ersin Çağlayan (Radical Noise) on guitars and vocals in 2020, and Aberrant Engin (Burial Invocation, Diabolizer) on drums in 2021.

WACKEN METAL BATTLE CANADA Returns For 2023

Wacken Metal Battle Canada announces its return in 2023 to cities across the country. Hosting battles from coast to coast since 2013, Wacken Metal Battle Canadaselects one unsigned Canadian band to perform on one of the world’s most prestigious stages and largest metal festival Wacken Open Air, with over 80,000 people in attendance, held in Wacken, Germany for over 30 years.

WMBC has been on pause since 2019, due to the Covid pandemic, and has hosted battles across Canada from 2013 until 2019, with one skip year in 2017.

Previous winners have been The Slyde(Toronto, ON – 2019), Centuries of Decay(Toronto, ON – 2018), Profaner (Hamilton, ON – 2016), Vesperia (Toronto, ON – 2015), Mutank (Montreal, QC – 2014), Crimson Shadows (Toronto, ON – 2013).

Band submissions will open on November 29th at 6 AM PST and close on December 19th at 11:59 PM PST.

Battles will be hosted in the following cities:

Vancouver, BC, Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB, Toronto, ON, Hamilton, ON, Ottawa, ON, Montreal, QC, and Quebec City, QC.

All bands will be performing in front of experienced music industry professionals who will be making judgments at each qualifying round based on various categories of professionalism and musicianship.

The National Final will be hosted in Toronto, ON in May 2023 (full date to be determined).

“Very stoked to be getting this going again after a long 3-year break. Our team is back together and excitement is in the air. Really curious to know what bands have been up to during this time, which new bands have formed, I know there are some hidden gems out there and hope to see them emerge for the Metal Battle.”

Wacken Metal Battle Canada is part of an international competition that sees bands from across the country battle each other for the chance of winning their spot among 29 other countries’ champions, and represent Canada in an international battle of the bands at the world’s largest outdoor metal festival: Wacken Open Air. The battles have been hosted at the festival for over a decade giving independent bands the opportunity to showcase their talents to an international audience along with the chance to win multiple prizes.

How it works:
​Participating cities will host qualifying rounds plus a city final organized by a local city concert promoter where one band will move forward to the Canadian national final (date and city to be determined). The winner of the national final will move on to perform at the Wacken Open Air 2023 and compete against the winners of 29 other countries in a final global battle. All bands will be judged during battle rounds by respected local music industry representatives.

On October 28th at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit, Michigan’s The Black Dahlia Murder will be playing their first show since Trevor’s passing. The show will be a celebration of the life and legacy of Trevor Strnad who was lost to us all on May 11th this year. This show also marks the first performance with the band’s new/old lineup with founding member Brian Eschbach taking on lead vocals and the return of Ryan Knight on guitar along with long-time members Max Lavelle on bass, Alan Cassidy on drums, and Brandon Ellis on lead guitar and backing vocals. Support for the show will come from Darkest Hour and Plague Years.

Detroit’s Kings of the Underworld, The Black Dahlia Murder, present their Yule ‘Em All: A Holiday Variety Extravaganza program hosted by Neil Hamburger (Pick Of Destiny, Tim and Eric). Canadian extreme music festival LOUD AS HELL will be celebrating 10 years of roaring decibel-breaking metal from July 29th to 31st at the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds in Drumheller, AB.

LOUD AS HELL has hosted hundreds of Canadian and international bands annually since the first metal jamboree in 2012 with exception of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. During its decade of showcasing Canadian and international bands to Alberta metal fans, the festival has grown into a pilgrimage for metalheads from across Canada. Past years have hosted headliners such as Into Eternity, Goatwhore, Battlecross, Fit for An Autopsy, Anciients, Archspire, Unleash The Archers, Striker, KEN mode, Obey The Brave, Protest the Hero among many more.

This year’s 2022 lineup is another special one with headliners Vancouver’s AngelMaker bringing their guttural and brutal beauty to the LAH stage for the first time in support of their latest album “Sanctum” along with LAH alumni Neck of The Woods for the Sunday festivities. Death metal legends CANNIBAL CORPSE will close out 2022 with a North American headlining tour! The month-long journey will commence November 3rd in Silver Springs, Maryland and run through December 10th in St. Petersburg, Florida with support provided by Dark Funeral, Immolation, and Black Anvil. Following their recent run supporting Carcass and Immolation, CREEPING DEATH will return to the stage this August on a North American headlining tour. The trek begins August 16th in El Paso, Texas, runs through September 18th in Austin, Texas, and includes performances at this year’s edition of Psycho Las Vegas and Full Terror Assault. Support will be provided by 200 Stab Wounds and Tribal Gaze as well as Ingrown, Spirit World, Vomit Forth, Age Of Apocalypse, and labelmates Plague Years on select dates.

The Edge Of Existence EP further demonstrates the power, fury, and outright revelry at the heart of the band’s identity.

Captured at Homewrecker Recording Studio in Tucson, Arizona and produced and mixed by Ryan Bram (Gatecreeper, Bitter Rivals, Sex Prisoner), the six-song EP introduces three new certified hellraisers — “Relics From The Past,” “Humanity Transcends,” and the title track — alongside remade and revitalized versions of the three songs from the band’s 2016 debut EP — “Sacrament Of Death,” “Doused In Flames,” and “Skinned Alive.”
