About AGNOSTIC FRONT: Founded in 1982, AGNOSTIC FRONT stand among the most esteemed pioneers of the hardcore genre. No band comes close in sonic and socio authenticity and sincerity, where the struggles of survival on the streets have quite literally given life to a sound that remains as impactful today as it was over four decades ago.
AGNOSTIC FRONT‘s battering, socially critical sounds serve as the foundation of true New York hardcore and helped initiate the emergence of crossover thrash. Following a slew of pummeling offerings, the band, led by the inimitable roar of Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma‘s legendary charismatic guitar playing, continue to showcase unapologetically honest lyrics and signature aggression in Echoes in Eternity.

Bronx-based metallic hardcore band XTINGUISH THE CODE has issued a new video for “Falling Down,” the track found on the band’s second album, The Conflict, out now on Grey Matter Records.
A band with NYHC running through their DNA, XTINGUISH THE CODE formed in 2019, currently uniting bassist Dusty Onita (Apparition, 4 In Tha Chamber), drummer Nate Boogie (Lake Lanier, No Weapon, MAAFA), guitarist The Professor G Flava (Apparition, No Weapon, Waist In Flesh, Gemini Method), and vocalist BJ Allen (Zero Trust, Full Scale Riot, GMK).
Delivering streetwise, energetic, beatdown-driven and groove-based hardcore, infused with elements of metal, hip-hop, and more, the band has played with D.R.I., Sworn Enemy, Downset, Madball, Life Of Agony, Sick Of It All, and many others. Following their Step To My World debut (2021) and subsequent Matter Of Fact EP (2023), (both through 1054 Records), XTINGUISH THE CODE hooked up with Grey Matter Records for the release of their second album, The Conflict.
XTINGUISH THE CODE’s explosive hybrid of rabid antagonism culminates on The Conflict, which not only marks the band’s first release with new drummer Nate Boogie and vocalist BJ Allen, it’s also the band’s first time creating a conceptual release, crafting a story that touches on working-class solidarity and global awakening.
Each song is meant to portray a person’s transformation from an ordinary resident to a radicalized citizen. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Joe Kusak at Amplitude Recording, former vocalist Kevin Lugo provides additional guest vocals on the track “Safe Space.” XTINGUISH THE CODE’s The Conflict is prime listening for fans of Incendiary, Burn, E-Town Concrete, Backtrack, Merauder, Bulldoze, Sworn Enemy, Downset, and Madball.
The new video for the record’s tense, succinct closing track “Falling Down” was filmed by Jojo Moran. Vocalist BJ Allen writes, “‘Falling Down’ is about a citizen, reaching their final breaking point.”

Italian hardcore/metal outfit SLUG GORE are set to return with a brand new EP, Pillars of Eco-Terror Saga, scheduled for release on September 25, 2026 via Time To Kill Records.
Following the path established with their 2024 debut album They Slime! They Ooze! They Kill!, SLUG GORE continue to explore their distinctive blend of hardcore intensity and extreme metal weight, combining raw urgency with sharp, memorable songwriting. The band’s sound remains rooted in the immediacy and impact of hardcore, while embracing darker and heavier influences to create a balance between exasperating energy and infectious hooks.
Pillars of Eco-Terror Saga is a concept release inspired by the legend of the Four Symbols, reimagining the four mythological beasts of Eastern tradition through the lens of the kaiju universe. Across the EP, iconic creatures such as Barugon, Iris, Jiger and Gamera embody new interpretations of the Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger and Black Tortoise, merging ancient symbolism with the imagery of giant monsters.
More details about the EP will be revealed soon. In the meantime, the first single “Scalpel” is now available.
“With ‘Scalpel’ we drew inspiration from Iris, the Kaiju that represents the Vermilion Bird. We have always been fascinated by its evolution, the way its body transforms, and above all by the lethal precision of its tentacles. We wanted to translate that same feeling of surgical violence into music: something fast, cold and calculated, striking with the precision of a scalpel. The song was born from this very image, attempting to transform its tension, brutality, and atmosphere into a direct and relentless sonic assault.”
NEW VIDEO FOR ‘BRAIN MATTER DISPLACEMENT’ STREAMING NOW!
Alabama metallic hardcore wrecking crew NO CURE have officially released their long-awaited debut full-length, It Is Going To Get Dark, available now via SharpTone Records. To celebrate the album’s arrival, the band has also unveiled a new music video for the crushing standout track, ‘Brain Matter Displacement.’
Across twelve unrelenting tracks, It Is Going To Get Darkcaptures the fury, frustration, and uncompromising intensity that has made NO CURE one of the fastest-rising names in modern hardcore. Blending metallic aggression, death metal precision, and hardcore grit, the album pushes the band’s sound further than ever before while remaining rooted in the raw energy that has fueled their rapid ascent.
Commenting on their debut, vocalist Blaythe Steuer says:
“There is a deep malaise overhead as we are subjected to the way the world is turning. It is clear that things are getting worse, and there is no end in sight. This fixation combined with the gruelling touring lifestyle we’ve lived the past few years has resulted in the perfect first No Cure LP. We recorded this deep in the woods of Alabama between tours, and loss surrounded the band as it was being written. Despite the great shows and tours we’ve been doing, this has been a painful time for the band. Each song has purpose and it is critically important that we deliver a record that is worth listening to from start to finish. If you don’t see that it is going to get dark yet… you will soon.“

Coinciding with their new release, the new video for ‘Brain Matter Displacement’ delivers a fitting visual companion to one of the album’s most devastating tracks, matching its relentless pace and crushing heaviness with a visceral performance-driven presentation.
Already hailed as one of the year’s most anticipated hardcore releases, It Is Going To Get Darkbuilds on the momentum of previously released singles including ‘Convulsing In The Dark‘ and ‘Slowly Turning Blue,’ further cementing NO CURE’s reputation for combining crushing riffs, uncompromising heaviness, and memorable songwriting into a sound that refuses to pull its punches.

DEBUT ALBUM, IT IS GOING TO GET DARK, OUT JULY 10TH VIA SHARPTONE RECORDS
Alabama’s meteoric, metallic hardcore crew NO CURE have released their devastating new single, “Slowly Turning Blue,” the latest offering from their highly anticipated debut full-length, It Is Going To Get Dark, due July 10th via SharpTone Records.
Combining crushing metal aggression with razor-sharp songwriting, “Slowly Turning Blue” showcases another side of NO CURE’s evolving sound. Built around massive riffs and the band’s trademark intensity, the track balances raw emotion with the kind of mosh-inducing energy that has made their live performances increasingly notorious across the underground.
Regarding the song, vocalist Blaythe Steuer comments:
“‘Slowly Turning Blue’ is a song I needed to write before No Cure was even an idea. Unfortunately, it’s pretty emotionally challenging for me, so instead I will talk about how much I love the static pinch riff, the harmonized guitars in the bridge, and the Sepultura drums section. I can’t wait to play this one live starting next month across the US because to be honest you are dancing.“
Produced, engineered, and mixed by longtime collaborator Kevin Langley, It Is Going To Get Dark finds NO CURE expanding beyond the boundaries of their previous releases while retaining the ferocity, precision, and confrontational spirit that have fueled their rapid ascent. Written and recorded in Alabama between extensive touring cycles, the album channels personal turmoil, social unease, and unfiltered aggression into the band’s most ambitious statement to date.
With It Is Going To Get Dark set for release on July 10th via SharpTone Records, NO CURE continue proving why they have become one of the most talked-about names in contemporary hardcore and extreme music.

My buddy Troy and I took a drive over to Ace of Cups in Columbus, Ohio, to see BIOHAZARD and DYING FETUS, on Saturday, May 16th. This was a Sonic Temple Official Aftershow. The Sonic Temple festival is huge, spanning 4 days in Columbus, Ohio, at the Historic Crew Stadium, featuring all genres of Metal and hard rock bands.
Before the show, Troy and I went to Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace for some chow and beer. We then went to Ledo’s Tavern to watch the Reds game and enjoy more beverages.
This is doginator. Bacon wrapped, BBQ sauce, topped with brisket, cheddar & onion rings. I ate it all. A beautiful Thin Lizzy wood-cut work of art at Dirty Frank’s.Had to capture this creepy bar decor! 👀Ledo’s Tavern wall decor.
Troy and I didn’t attend Sonic Temple, as to why we bought our tix for this show. My bad knees and legs are no longer music festival fit, for the foreseeable future anyways. I squared up pretty close to the stage for BIOHAZARD, right up against the merch area. The stage at Ace of Cups is to the very right of the front door. There is an expansive outdoor patio and a fine bar there as well.
I was able to bounce around standing in place, raising my cane in blissful defiance, while shouting out limited lyrics such as: “fuck the system!” I am elated by my experiencing BIOHAZARD and DYING FETUS live and have the metal memories forever! Metal be thy name – Stone

Birmingham, Alabama metallers and recent 1126 Record signees WIELDED STEEL will unleash their annihilating Sins Of Your Domain full-length on March 13th.
WIELDED STEEL isn’t looking to make friends with Sins Of Your Domain, a violent fusion of death metal and hardcore. “I’ve got a lot of feelings when it comes to the word deathcore,” notes vocalist Jesse Clark. “It’s used to describe every stadium band that tries to tune their guitar the lowest and have the longest breakdown possible.” But the group doesn’t like that sound, citing bands like Internal Bleeding or Irate as inspiration.
“That sound has evolved over time,” adds drummerCyrus Patel. “We started out somewhere between death metal and hardcore, but we’ve been quietly adding more and more death metal influences as we’ve progressed.”
That’s more than obvious on Sins Of Your Domain. “Musically, this record is the sum of us diving further into our influences and pushing ourselves harder than we ever have before, in terms of songwriting,” says Clark, “Lyrically, Sins Of Your Domain is a record about how people I see as evil should be made to acknowledge and, in one way or another, atone for their sins committed by their ‘domain.’ Whether that’s their country, their class, their corrupt belief systems, or the people they surround themselves with.”
The record opens with an ominous meditation on T.S. Eliot’s Hollow Men, a haunted chant of “this is the way the world ends” that gives way to a sonic assault over a crushing rhythm. Lyrically the track is quite literally an introduction to the themes of the record and the idea of paying for the “sins of your domain,” as in the things you stood idly by and allowed to happen for the sake of your own comfort.

Guitarist Michael Carpenter cranks the volume up on songs like the title track, “Your Words Mean Nothing,” and today’s single, “In The Line Of Fire (Feat. Blaythe SteuerofNo Cure),” each boasting stripped down technical riffs that mutate into intricate rhythms that don’t let up.
“In the Line Of Fire’ is just about using the people you hate for target practice,” explained Clark. “Blaythe of No Cure is featured and he fits really well with the metallic vibe of this song. His energy was perfectly suited for the big build up in the middle of the track.”

Miami hardcore band POWERPLAY enter a new chapter with the release of their latest single, “Liberosis,” marking the band’s first release since signing with Terminus Hate City. The track features a guest appearance from Andrew Neufeld of COMEBACK KID, adding another surge of energy and connection to the song’s message.
“Like many newer bands, we were born out of the pandemic,” says vocalist Adam Hussler. “We had all been writing and playing music with various other projects for many years. PowerPlay was actually never supposed to be a touring entity or anything it has become, but just a musical outlet. Like all things, it evolved, and we just rode the wave, so to speak.”
That growth and perspective are at the heart of “Liberosis.” The track confronts mental health struggles and the long standing emotional battles many people face every day. Built as an anthemic rally cry, the song centers on the realization that while life can feel overwhelming, no one has to face it alone.
“Liberosis” delivers a message of acceptance and solidarity. It reflects the understanding that we can only control certain aspects of our lives while drawing strength from friends, family, and community.
POWERPLAY is a hardcore band from Miami, Florida, formed in 2021 during a time when the world had slowed down but emotions were running high. What started as a creative outlet between longtime friends quickly gained momentum, turning into a full force band built on honesty, intensity, and connection.
Made up of Adam Hussler on vocals, Julius Lopez on drums, Andrew Herrero on bass, and Oscar Rodriguez on guitar, POWERPLAY bring together years of experience from various projects across the South Florida scene. Their sound draws influence from SICK OF IT ALL, BLOOD FOR BLOOD, WHERE FEAR AND WEAPONS MEET, and BURIED ALIVE, blending classic hardcore urgency with deeply personal themes.
Lyrically, POWERPLAY focus on real life struggles, mental health, personal responsibility, and the everyday weight of being human. Songs like “Liberosis” channel those themes into anthemic, shout along moments built for both personal reflection and packed rooms.
Since forming, POWERPLAY have built their name through relentless touring and high energy live performances. They have shared stages with bands across the hardcore scene and appeared at numerous festivals and tours throughout the United States and Central America.
Their 2024 EP Sealed Envelopes helped establish their presence, while continued touring and new releases have pushed the band into a new phase, including their recent signing to Terminus Hate City.
At their core, POWERPLAY are driven by authenticity. They write music that reflects their own lives, struggles, and perspectives, creating songs that connect through shared experience, unity, and the strength found in community.
NYC’s legendary hardcore pioneers AGNOSTIC FRONT have released the official lyric video for “You Say”, off of their latest album, Echoes In Eternity. Ferocious and energetic, the song captures the band’s trademark spirit of defiance in the face of hypocrisy. Powerful gang vocals drive this anthem of revolt, underpinned by charging guitars and thundering drums. The message is clear: AGNOSTIC FRONT refuses to cave to the injustices that plague modern society.
Vocalist Roger Miret comments: “‘YOU SAY’ is a war cry against the normalization of corruption and empty promises. Whether it be governments, corporations, or straight up con artists, they all have the same interests…. Their own! Our message has always been and will be ‘F**K YOU’ to these entities, and to hold them accountable.”
AGNOSTIC FRONT has also announced the highly-anticipated European leg of their “Echoes In Eternity” Tour, with dates in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Belgium. The tour features special guests WISDOM IN CHAINS and RAW BRIGADE.
With decades of influence on the global hardcore scene, AGNOSTIC FRONT continue to uphold their legacy as one of the most vital and uncompromising voices in punk music. Echoes in Eternity reaffirms their status as cultural torchbearers, channeling the same spirit that sparked from New York’s Lower East Side to inspire generations worldwide.
RATS WILL FEAST will release their new EP, “An Evocation”, on April 3rd 2026 via Time To Kill Records. RATS WILL FEAST is an experimental hardcore outfit from Jyväskylä, Finland, active in its current form since 2018.
The Finnish hardcore unit continues to refine and expand their signature blend of extreme aggression, hallucinatory chaos and melodic depth. Following the destructive intensity of Hellhole, the new EP promises a more focused and defined expression of the band’s evolving sound, capturing both the brutality and emotional resonance that have become their hallmark.
The first single will be unleashed in the coming weeks, as RATS WILL FEAST prepares to deliver another potent statement to the international hardcore scene.
An Evocation celebrates RATS WILL FEAST‘s diverse and imaginative interpretation of modern metallic hardcore. The new EP is the band’s most concise and clear articulation of what the band wants to say, and what it’s aiming for with its sound. The album’s soundscape is dense, diverse, and exudes a wide palette of tones that have accompanied the band for 10 years.
The band explores a variety of expressions on the album, as the violence and volatility of the sound is balanced with an intensely melodic approach. While the album offers a wide spectrum, it remains focused on the band’s signature sound.
Lyrically,An Evocation is a portrait of a mindscape that strives to accept life as it is. Heavy metal bands often imagine various dystopias and fantasy worlds that they sing about. An Evocation thirsts for a safe haven in the turmoil of this world and society.
The lyrics seek to portray a person who moves between different levels of acceptance and resentment. It is a snapshot of a process that touches everyone’s life. Between the lines, the lyrics also reflect on the question of what makes you get up on stage again and again, and what makes writing and performing this kind of music important to yourself and others. Playing heavy music is a valve that lets painful and difficult things flow into some kind of beautiful, manageable form.

Boolin Tunes awarded it 9/10, calling the album “an absolutely outstanding, and extremely promising modern metalcore debut,” while Uber Rock described Pure Light as “dynamic” and “eclectic.”
“Pure Light is the culmination of eight consistent years together as a group,” the band shared collectively. “Through thick and thin, every blessing and every curse, we have pressed on to eventually lead to this moment. This album is an invitation to join us in a conversation on the human experience and celebrate the good, bad, and ugly of life. We are beyond thankful to present this experience to anyone who listens. When you walk away from Pure Light, remember you are loved, cherished and wanted.”
In the lead-up to today’s release, the South Carolina-based band shared two previews. The first, “Front Door Phobia” featuring Andrew Herman from Johnny Booth, explores political unrest and social isolation, while the second song, “Obsolete,” is described by vocalist Nick Rendelman described as “the most abrupt callout-of-a-song we’ve ever written. This one is for anyone who has been harmed by someone they care for, and for the human reactions that come with it.”
Building on their earlier DIY EPs, Wiltwither expanded their sonic and conceptual scope with Pure Light. The album imagines a government experiment in which test subjects are dosed with a mysterious drug called Pure Light, unlocking telepathic bonds that are exploited and manipulated until the subjects lose their humanity. Across twelve tracks, the band narrates this descent with unflinching heaviness, cinematic interludes, and fearless experimentation.

Wiltwither is Nick Rendelman (vocals), Dakota Brown (guitar), Joshua Davis (guitar), Anna Harper (bass) and Tyler Syphertt (drums). The quintet have quietly bulldozed their way out of the Carolinas with a venomous vision.
Their previous EPs, The House I Lived and Died In (2023) and The Yellow Wallpaper (2024), drew early praise from Knotfest (“excellent”) and saw them touring with VCTMS, Heavy // Hitter, and more. With their debut album, Pure Light, the band sharpen their concept-driven storytelling while leveling up sonically and emotionally.

Formed in 1995 in the small Swedish city of Mariestad by key players from Sweden’s legendary hardcore scene, WOLFBRIGADE (known as Wolfpack until 1999) remains among Scandinavia’s most respected, influential, and reliable purveyors of real-world, brute-force, political hardcore punk.
The band’s disparate influences are drawn together with unifying solidity, the remorseless rhythms of Discharge, the blue-collar rock ‘n’ roll of Motörhead and the heads-down bludgeon of classic Entombed. The quintet defines their main driving force as: “the eternal quest for the ultimate song. We constantly explore the space we can create for progression within our pretty slim framework. Even though our personal tastes are very eclectic, we want to stay true to the WOLFBRIGADE core, but at the same time apply as much pressure as we can to push it further. We’ll mix any influences that we please. War on rules. That has been the concept since the very start of Wolfpack.”
In celebration of their 30th anniversary, WOLFBRIGADE delivers Hostile Wasteland, an EP with a ferocious raw mix originally recorded in 2000, in the legendary Sunlight Studios, while they still went under the name Wolfpack. In addition, they unleash Kill To Live, an album of special live renditions of classic tracks, recorded in 2025, in the band’s own Wolfden Studio.
The band comments, “Over the years we have talked about releasing the last recording we did under the name Wolfpack to present it the way it was originally intended. Until now, it has remained more or less buried, only surfacing as bonus tracks on a few limited releases. As we celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary, we went through our archives and unearthed a stack of old DAT tapes which we transferred to digital. Among them we found this raw mix that sounded great. Bloodfilled and savage. And it felt like the right moment to finally give it a proper release.
When we started out, we were five guys from different punk and metal bands who came together. The fusion of d-beat, punk, and death metal came naturally. That this hybrid beast is still alive three decades later feels insane. And at the same time inevitable. The band has burned itself into our DNA. Over the years some songs turned into staples in our live sets, others never really came out the way we wanted on the recordings, some changed shape with time, some we almost forgot. When we finally had proper recording possibilities in our rehearsal space, our guitarist Jocke Rydbjer’s own Wolfden Studio, we thought: ‘Why not give these songs another chance? Record them live, document how we actually sound as one. Five friends in a room. Nothing polished. Nothing dressed. Just naked to the bare arse.’ This is Lycanthro Punk 2025. Since 1995.”

NYC’s legendary pioneers, AGNOSTIC FRONT, are set to unveil the unapologetically fierce new album Echoes in Eternity. The band’sestablished sound remains best known for their pure adrenaline-fueled riffs, unrelenting energy and outspoken critique on social corruption. “Way of War” is the first single to land ahead of this forthcoming onslaught; Echoes in Eternity is set to arrive in its full thunderous form on November 7, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music.

AGNOSTIC FRONT hold nothing back. In “Way of War”, the forthcoming album’s opener, a relentless storm of driving rhythms and aggressive vocal chants awaits. It’s an abrasive and raucous display of power against injustice.

Divided We Fall Tour Kicks Off in October Featuring Support from Onyx, Bayway, and Swollen Teeth
Today, Brooklyn hardcore legends BIOHAZARD are excited to announce ‘Divided We Fall,’ their first studio album in over a decade, out October 17th via BLKIIBLK. Reuniting the original lineup, the album delivers a blistering statement of unity in chaos. To celebrate the announcement, BIOHAZARD has released a new single, “F**k the System,” which is accompanied by a music video available below.
Billy Graziadei (vocals/guitar) had the following to say about the single:
“F**k the System’ is BIOHAZARD calling it like it is. The powers that be have us at odds and beefin’ with each other while they sit back and cash in. It’s no accident the world’s burnin’ in front of our eyes. It’s all divide and control – while they keep us divided by politics, class, race, all of it, and have us out here fighting each other, they’re pulling the strings. ‘F**k the System’ is our war cry about the state of the world with no sugarcoated bullshit.”
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed, Deftones), ‘Divided We Fall’ captures BIOHAZARD at their most raw, relentless, and unifying. The album blends the band’s unmistakable fusion of hardcore, metal, and streetwise groove with a sharpened edge for a fractured modern world delivering a powerful reminder of why BIOHAZARD remains one of the most vital and influential bands in heavy music.
Bobby Hambel (guitars) on the album:
“We are really excited to finally have the classic BIOHAZARD lineup back together in the studio. This album has been a long time coming, and the record is straight from our hearts. We can’t wait for everybody to hear it, and to head out and play these new songs live. See you out there!”
Recording sessions took place at Shorefire Recording Studios (Long Branch, NJ) and The Hydeaway (Van Nuys, CA), with engineering by Joseph DeMaio and additional recording from Matt Hyde. Guitar and production tech duties were handled by Phil Caivano.
BIOHAZARD’s upcoming release via BLKIIBLK marks a new chapter in a storied career that began in the late ’80s, one defined by aggressive sound, socially conscious lyrics, and an unwavering commitment to their roots.

About the tour, Evan Seinfeld (vocals/bass) comments:
Judgement Night. The script writes itself. BIOHAZARD is excited to announce our first headlining tour of the U.S. in more than a decade, celebrating our 30-plus year history with Onyx, two of the most hardcore entities in our respective genres. Bayway are killing it, reminiscent of BIOHAZARD’s early rise, and Swollen Teeth bring an entirely different element of heaviness to captivate crowds and evolve our scene. This is going to be a tribal ceremony and a place to release your negative energy in a positive way. See you in the pit!”
