BIOHAZARD – Reveal “Reborn In Defiance” Cover Art!

Legendary NYHC veterans BIOHAZARD just revealed the cover art for the bands highly anticipated new album “Reborn In Defiance“ which is set to be unleashed January 20, 2012 via Nuclear Blast.

Danny Schuler says, “Being a huge fan of vinyl records and the amazing sleeve artwork that used to come with them, I really wanted our artwork to be unique. In the spirit of being REBORN IN DEFIANCE, the album cover represents to me an interesting paradox: an embryo, not yet spoiled by the world, but already possessing the heart of a rebel.”

Billy Graziadei explains, “The innocence of youth has always been a strong subject for us, with the children playing over a crime scene on the Urban Discipline album cover to the child running with a biological gas mask on the State of the World Address cover. For REBORN IN DEFIANCE, an unborn child waits to be thrown into a world that will steal the untainted purity of infancy we all start out with.”

Danny sums up the cover art’s significance quite simply: “It all begins in the womb”.

An intensely bitter act hailing from the temperate climate of Atlanta, Georgia, DEAD IN THE DIRT have confirmed an upcoming 7″ EP release via Southern Lord for late this September, simply and aptly entitled, Fear.

A savage fucking wrecking crew who merges blinding hardcore fury with Blackened Metallic might, DEAD IN THE DIRT simultaneously and effectively spew forth filthy, musical mayhem, while concurrently displaying clear and concise production values in their destructive hymns. The band’s unhinged style draws from the discordant heaviness His Hero is Gone, the urgency of Cursed, the speed of DropDead and the Blackened darkness of Deathspell Omega.

DEAD IN THE DIRT‘s debut EP, Fear, is literally one of the heaviest and most brutal recordings from a new act to come out in recent times! The Fear 7″ will see a one-time pressing of 1500 copies via Southern Lord on September 27, 2011, and once it’s sold out, it’s dead…

In support of the release DEAD IN THE DIRT are set to hit the road for most of September, kicking the shit off with a record release show on September 10th with Earth and Mount Eerie.

From PARAMORE  to ELWAY, with A DAY TO REMEMBER in-between, this compilation covers the bands that have recently kept this Vans Warped Tour as a legit leader in the touring Rock festival industry. With the presence of The Devil Wears Prada (Anatomy) and Asking Alexandria (Closure), this compilation is represented fiercely by two young and Extremely Heavy bands that are on the F’n rise.

Rock fans not familiar with the bands affiliated with the ongoing Vans Warped Tour, should benefit immensely from picking up this 2 CD compilation. I picked up my copy new for $5.99 (U.S.) and couldn’t be more satisfied with the overall package of bands and songs.
