MINISTRY: Full Album Streaming Via Metal Injection Through The Weekend

As we approach the official street date for the thirteenth album from Industrial Metal purveyors MINISTRY this Monday, March 26th, fans worldwide can stream all eleven tracks of the mutinous album via Metal Injection all weekend RIGHT HERE.

Following a dozen full-length releases over the past thirty years, and recently ending a four-year hiatus, from deep in the heart of Hell Paso Texas, Al Jourgensen’s MINISTRY rises against the political machine one more time with the release of Relapse, the album boasting some of the band’s heaviest and fastest material in years, fueled by Jourgensen’s disgust at the world that surrounds us.

The album strikes out with the no-holds-barred album opening track “Ghouldiggers” aimed directly at the pitfalls of the industry he has survived over the years, from there segueing directly into one of the heaviest MINISTRY anthems in years with the crushing “Double Tap” attack. Jourgensen has rallied with the Occupy Wall Street movement over the past year and recently released the riotous video for the raging “99 Percenters,” speaking out for the majority of the world’s oppressed populations against corporate corruption. Cited as the driving force behind a cross-section of Metal genres from Industrial Nine Inch Nails to Thrash artists Static X and Nu Metal’s Korn, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and receiving six Grammy Nominations for Best Metal Performance, multi-platinum selling artist Jourgensen returns with his greatest achievement to date with Relapse. The album will see worldwide release via Jourgensen’s own Thirteenth Planet Records and AFM Records in conjunction with DisManic via E1 Distribution this “Metal Monday,” March 26th, 2012.

Following the release of Relapse, MINISTRY will perform five major North American concerts this June — Denver, Los Angeles, New York and two shows in Chicago — as part of the DeFibRiLlaTouR 2012 World Tour. FEAR FACTORY – Announce American Tour Dates For 2012

FEAR FACTORY today confirms their first tour dates for 2012. Set to begin in San Antonio on May 1, the tour’s initial dates include stops in Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City, Baltimore, and Denver among others. Joining FEAR FACTORY for the tour is Boston’s Shadows Fall, Kansas City-based The Browning, Riverside, California’s The Devastated, and Legacy Of Disorder from New Zealand. The tour will precede the release of FEAR FACTORY’s new album titled The Industrialist.

FEAR FACTORY recently announced the addition of bass player Matt DeVries. The Ohio native previously noted, “I have been asked to join one of my favorite bands. I have been a fan of FEAR FACTORY since 1992 and I could not be more excited to be part of this incredible band.” Guitarist Dino Cazares and vocalist Burton C. Bell noted, “we are very excited to have Matt playing bass for FEAR FACTORY. We feel he is a great addition to our touring line-up. He has been a friend for a very long time and he is a great musician who will be a perfect instrument in the FF machine.”

With rehearsals for the tour expected to start soon, the members of FEAR FACTORY are finishing details on their forthcoming new album expected for release early summer. Greg Reely has now completed the album’s mix. All that remains is final artwork and packaging. Regarding the new material, Cazares and Bell affirm, “this album perfectly captures the true nature of FEAR FACTORY. The industrial/metal blend is a strong return to our original concept for FEAR FACTORY.”

The Industrialist follows 2010’s critically acclaimed Mechanize. Blabbermouth said, “this is the album fans have been waiting for…a fiery and evolved rebirth of the band that changed metal in the ’90s.” Revolver Magazine called Mechanize, “one of the best albums of the band’s career. Its combination of new-wave melody, rapid-fire aggression, and electronic ambiance sounds as fresh today as FEAR FACTORY did nearly 20 years ago. Call it the soul of their new machine.” Decibel Magazine noted, “FEAR FACTORY are back and beyond intact.”

FEAR FACTORY – Announce New Bassist

Band Continues Work On Forthcoming Album

FEAR FACTORY today confirms Matt DeVries as the band’s new bass player. DeVries, previously of Chimaira and most recently Six Feet Under, joins the band replacing Byron Stroud. The announcement comes as the band continues work on their upcoming new album, planned for release early Summer. The album is currently being mixed in Canada by Greg Reely while artwork for the album’s packaging is nearly complete.

DeVries comments: “I have been asked by Dino and Burton to join one of my favorite bands. I have been a fan of FEAR FACTORY since 1992 and I could not be more excited to be part of this incredible band. We have shared the stage many times together and now I’m beyond stoked to be on the same stage playing together. Thank you to all my fans worldwide for sticking by me and I will be seeing you all on the road very soon.”

MINISTRY – Signs Worldwide Deal With AFM Records

AFM Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Industrial veterans MINISTRY, one of the most innovative and legendary bands of our time. AFM will release MINISTRY‘s highly anticipated comeback album Relapse in March. Prior to the album, MINISTRY will release a digital single, entitled “99%” on December 23rd, 2011 via the band’s iTunes store.

Currently, MINISTRY mastermind Al Jourgensen is finalizing the last mixes on the new material. Commented Jourgensen on the signing: “Our 13th Planet Record releases have been distributed in Europe via AFM through our partner Soulfood Music in Germany for several years now, and we have established a solid business relationship, so it made perfect sense to take the next step and have AFM Records come on board and be involved with the new Ministry release for worldwide and digital distribution. CHRIS VRENNA LEAVES MARILYN MANSON – To Focus On Production And New Projects

Los Angeles, Nov. 22 – Chris Vrenna, the Grammy-award winning musician and producer who was most recently the drummer/keyboardist for Marilyn Manson, has left the band to focus on his growing film and video game scoring, production career and DJ outings as well as work on the forthcoming 2012 Tweaker release.

“I’m incredibly proud of the work I did with Manson and look forward to the release of Born Villain.  I wish my brothers well but with the recording largely completed I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career which involves production work, film scoring, and future musical collaborations,” explained Vrenna.

Vrenna rose to prominence in the early ’90s as a full-time member of Nine Inch Nails, having been a permanent member of Trent Reznor’s band since Nine Inch Nails’ inception and for the following eight years.  His production and programming credits include the aforementioned Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, Guns’n’Roses and most recently work on Evanescence’s self-titled 2011 album.  Vrenna is also a sought after remixer working on tracks by U2, Nelly Furtado, Rammstein, and Slipknot.

RAMMSTEIN – Confirms North American Tour 2012

THE WORLD’S MOST EXPLOSIVE ROCK BAND RETURN TO NORTH AMERICA FOR 21 DATES IN SUPPORT OF THEIR RETROSPECTIVE ALBUM RELEASE “MADE IN GERMANY 1995-2011”

Mon. Nov. 14, 2011 – RAMMSTEIN, the Berlin-based band known for their incendiary live performances, will bring their brand new live production to North America this spring for 21 dates kicking off April 20 in Ft. Lauderdale.  Tickets for the tour, presented by Live Nation, will go on sale beginning Friday, Nov. 18 and will be available at:  www.ticketmaster.com and www.livenation.com

Demand for Rammstein’s pyrotechnic-laden performances has been so great in Europe, where they regularly play capacity level soccer stadiums, the band spent nearly a full decade without setting foot on North American shores. In December 2010, the sextet returned to North America for two sold out shows including a performance at Madison Square Garden. Rammstein followed with a 9-day trek of major North American cities in Spring 2011.

The Los Angeles Times described the live experience as “…epic stagecraft on a Wagnerian scale, several notches up from most Arena Rock.”

The  tour announcement comes on the heels of news of the band’s first retrospective release, Made In Germany 1995 – 2011, which will be available in North America (through a distribution deal between Universal Germany and Vagrant Records) on Dec. 13.  Rammstein recently released “Mein Land,” a new four-track digital single that features two new songs: the title track and “Vergiss uns Nicht” as well as remixes from BossHoss and Mogwai.  A video directed by Jonas Akerlund for “Mein Land” is also currently featured Rammstein.com.  Rammstein’s most recent full-length album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da, debuted at #13 on the Billboard Top 200 in October 2009.

Rammstein first stormed America in 1998, touring with a set based on their Grammy-nominated breakthrough second release, Sehnsucht, featuring Du hast, the song that brought the world’s attention to the band. During their 1998 Family Values tour, praise was high, as well as indignation: band members were jailed in the US on indecency charges due to the highly provocative live show.

Metal Odyssey Spotlight On: Marc Broude – Psychological Warfare – 2 Songs of Industrial Metal and Noise!

MARC BROUDE – My never ending Metal quest to find Metal talent that is unsigned, DIY and real has crossed paths with an Industrial Metal and Noise musician known as: Marc Broude. The Metal Odyssey Spotlight is on Marc Broude and his 2 song EP: Psychological Warfare. Marc is the vocalist and plays all instruments on his music.

I liken the sound of Marc Broude’s music to that of Industrial Metal, where Marc is very down with that tag, he also considers his music to be representative of the Noise genre. Marc is from Chicago, Illinois and had started recording while living in a squatter artist collective back in 2005. During 2005, Marc started out in the Chicago based Noise outfit called: Panicsville. A cross-genre composer, Marc has played in various bands which represented genres of: Black Metal, Grindcore, Punk and Noise. If diversity is the key to Metal success, then Marc has associated with some hefty Metal diversity in the course of seven years.

I really appreciate the overwhelming heaviness, experimentalism and mixture of distortion that Marc has implemented into his music’s sound. Marc’s vocals seem to arise from the dark depths of the damned, while his guitar riffs and drumming create a wall of sound that engulfs my surroundings with a nightmarish, bazaar of the living dead mood and atmosphere. Perfect.

I can see a promising Metal future for Marc, his DIY work ethic, multi-tasking, multi-instrument competency and musical inventiveness should eventually draw some credible attention. Marc feels getting his music heard is more important than making money from it… that’s the characteristic of a real musician and an artist who believes in what he’s created.

* Originally released in 2006 as a 50 piece limited edition 7″ which became out of print, Psychological Warfare was digitally remixed for re-release. Distribution is through IODA and Psychological Warfare will be available at all digital music stores, with the CD being available on Amazon and Tower in about a month from now.

* In 2009, Marc released a 72 minute, Dark Ambient dirge titled: Rites of Zen and Medicine. This release displayed a drastic change in Marc’s sound, with a fusion of free improvisation and Avant-Garde Jazz.
