The spirit of rock and roll for me has always meant following the paths I choose regardless of what my critics or my peers think. For 40 years KISS has built an army that apologizes to no one and I’m honored to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame knowing we have remained true to ourselves and our fans. ~~ Paul Stanley
(Gene Simmons – Solo Album – Casablanca – 1978)

BARISHI – Vermont’s BARISHI have just released a self-titled Progressive Metal tour de force that belies conventional thought for a debut album. Heaviness, eclecticism, and inventive melody are just a few of the descriptors one could use to begin dissecting this dynamic package of passion and creativity. The saxophone heard on “Sky Burial” and “Holy Mountain” is but one of the pleasant surprises in an album full of them.
Barishiwas recorded, mixed, and co-produced by the band and BrianWestbrook at PDP Recording, with mastering done by Nick Dragoni at M-Works Mastering Studio. This is one album you simply must experience.
BARISHI is making their mark in the New England Metal scene and beyond. Formed in 2010 as an instrumental three-piece know as Atlatl, they began writing songs influenced by fusion and progressive music. Their style quickly started getting heavier and darker while retaining some progressive influence, thus forging their own style of Heavy Psychedelic Metal. In 2012 they found a wayward vocalist wandering the streets of Keene New Hampshire. Bringing him into the fold they found that his sound melded excellently with theirs. Thus, Barishi was born!
Earth shattering grooves combined with savage vocals completed the sound that could only be born in the verdant mountains of Southern Vermont. With their debut self-titled album on the way, Barishi is truly a force to be reckoned with. Prepare yourself to be pummeled and thunderstruck with ecstatic Metal from the ancient hills of New England.
As reported by Alessandro Del Vecchio, Via Frontiers Records:
I’m proud to say that I’m working with these amazing musicians. We’ve written some great stuff that fans of Blue Murder and Rainbow will love. Ladies & Gentlemen please welcome Legacy X! I’ll be producing and playing keyboards. See you on the road 🙂

“Rise From the Grave” is the first album from the Italian Horror Metal band Deathless Legacy. 10 creepy powerful songs adorned with industrial synth and a taste of hammond, to evoke the inner wishes and fears of all the human-beings walking on this world. Their music is plenty of horror, as their presence on stage: all dressed up and made up like evil immortal spirits, they drip horror aspects from every point of view, including music and atmospheres. “Rise from the grave” mixes heavy, speed and Gothic Metal sounds, giving birth to a new experience of Horror Music: you’ll be scared and exalted, believe the monsters!

Hooded Hellions To Take Denver Black Sky This Weekend
Today, the gatekeepers at the Loudwire lair offer up a new carol from the hooded thrash phantoms in GHOUL. The demandingly titled “Spill Your Guts” comes by way of the band’s forthcoming split with weedian death metal ogres, Cannabis Corpse:Splatterhash. An unrepentant exercise in fast fuckall crushingness, Splatterhash boasts four tracks of audio mayhem. For their portion, GHOUL returned to Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California where they recorded both Transmission Zero and Splatterthrash.
Says vocalist/guitarist Digestor from his Creepsylvanian penthouse, “Numbskulls and future Numbskulls! Once again, GHOUL returns to help you rot your eardrums, soil your pantaloons, and disappoint your parents. This time we brought our pals in Cannabis Corpse, though we regretfully had to murder them after hearing how good their side of the split is. We’d like to take this time to apologize to their fans, friends, and families. Such a waste…”
“Spill Your Guts” is now playing at Loudwire. Get sloppy at THIS LOCATION.
The cloaked deviants in GHOUL – Cremator, Fermentor, Digestor, and Dissector – are mutants from Creepsylvania specializing in the refined execution of bone-snapping splatterthrash, grave robbing, flesh consumption, barn burnings and general night time debauchery. This Saturday, GHOUL will emerge from their den of iniquity to co-headline the first annual Black Sky gala. Founded by Skinless’ Sherwood Webber, Denver Black Sky will be held at The Gothic Theatre in Denver and features an absurdly sick lineup of: Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Speedwolf, Power Trip, Mammoth Grinder, Call Of The Void, Reproacher, Weekend Nachos, Iron Reagan, Axeslasher, Primitive Man, Vimana, Of Feather And Bone, Native Daughters, Black Sleep Of Kali, Dead Temple and Flight Of Sleipnir. Bring a tarp.

Cruz Del Sur Music is proud to announce another prestigious addition to its roster, occult metal unit VESTAL CLARET!
One of the most mysterious and intriguing bands to appear from the American underground in the last few years, VESTAL CLARET is the creation of Simon Tuozzoli and Phil Swanson (SEAMOUNT / HOUR OF 13 fame), and play a killer mixture of Doom and Heavy Metal riffage with a definite penchant for the morbid and sick atmospheres. Are you ready for the ritual to begin? You better go sharpen your krises!
The band’s first release with Cruz Del Sur Music, The Cult of the Vestal Claret, is the follow-up to their 2011 debut, Bloodbathand will see the light of day in April 2014. The album will be available on CD, digital and vinyl formats.

On July 2nd, 2013, Herman Rarebell & Friends – Acoustic Fever was released via MFP Music Production. This legendary and (ex) Scorpions drummer, Herman Rarebell, will always be placed high atop a tier of excellence, for me! It’s a nifty lineup of legendary Heavy Rock vocalists that join Herman Rarebell on this fantastic album too! With Gary Barden (MSG), Tony Martin (Black Sabbath), Don Dokken, Paul Shortino (King Kobra, Rough Cutt), Doogie White (Rainbow) and more joining Herman Rarebell for some acoustic ear candy.
One legendary vocalist I’m happy to see make an appearance on this album is Jack Russell. The legendary founding member and (former) frontman of Great White excels vocally on this acoustic track: Don’t Make No Promises. With his Jack Russell’s Great White steadfastly marching on, Jack Russell has proven he’s never left the building!
Take a listen below for yourself… and know that… Don’t Take No Promises with Jack Russell, Robby Lochner and Herman Rarebell is:
