Inception‘ is the first solo single from Swedish rock singer Guernica Mancini (lead singer of Thundermother) and will be available via Golden Robot Records on November 11th.
Having forged a successful career at the helm of Thundermother, with over 300,000 monthly listeners and millions of streams, Guernica has been working on a solo side project that can only be described as a mind blowing fusion of rock and pop.
Sonically, the first single features groovy guitar riffs backed by heavy drums and powerful vocals that display an impressive range, clarity and the perfect amount of grit.
‘Inception‘ will be premiered on Saturday by WBC Australasia and WBA Asia Boxing Champion Linn Sandstrom as the walkout song to make her U.K. main event debut at York Hall, London for the WBA Intercontinental Title.
Both Guernica Mancini and Linn Sandstrom have a lot in common; they’re both strong women hailing from Sweden who know exactly who they are and where they’re headed – TO THE TOP!
Deadwolff released their new single ‘Heavy Rock n’ Roll’ today, their first single under Golden Robot Records, part of the Golden Robot Global Entertainment Group.
In addition to release the new track, Deadwolff have released a music video to accompany the song on November 2.
The track is a punch in the guts from the start with heavy drums and guitar before you’re met with screeching vocals from lead singer Tommy Wolffe. You get exactly what you’ve bargained for will a song called ‘Heavy Rock n’ Roll.’
The track is a fast paced, heavy rocking tune. It’s a song for whatever you’re passionate about or for someone you love. What you’d do to feel the joy that only music or a loved one can bring. So, turn it up ands lap it on repeat. This is the new wave of heavy rock and roll.
Deadwolff is a three-piece band based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 2020, Deadwolff is composed of Tommy Wolffe, on bass and vocals, Bobby Deuce, on guitars and backing vocals, and Angus Pike on drums.
In late December of 2020, Boonsdale Records released the band’s debut EP digitally. Shortly after, Deadwolff signed with Metal Assault Records, based out of Los Angeles, and released their debut EP on cassette, which sold out quickly.
As of recently, Deadwolff has been touring throughout Canada, bringing their catchy hooks, and eccentric live show to electric audiences. Building momentum quickly, Deadwolff sought out and was noticed by Golden Robot Records, whom is set to release their full length debut album.
Hailing from Canada, Alienatör is a sludge metal band that confronts tough issues with razor-sharp riffs and memorable hooks. They released their debut album “Pariahs’ in 2019, and are now following it up this year with “Regrets”, which is darker, more focused, and more intense. They say it also boasts better songwriting and more dynamics. The themes of this upcoming release also explore some heavy topics including alienation, grief, pain, and disgust at the state of the modern world. The single “The Priest” is no exception, which vocalist/guitarist Brad King explains:
“This is the darkest song I’ve ever written. Another is where the bass really drives the song and the guitar comes in, jagged and angular on top. Ralph Rowe was an Anglican Priest who molested countless kids in fly-in reserves in the 70s and 80s. He ruined so many lives and plea-bargained for a prison sentence that was a slap on the wrist. There’s a documentary about him called “Survivor’s Rowe,” and I’ve met a few survivors through my work. Here, he serves as an example of the type of abuse of power we allow those in positions of trust. I’m proud of the dynamics of this one, lots of tension and release and the calm atmospheric part in the middle.”
The music video for “The Priest” can be seen and heard via its premiere on IDIOTEQ HERE.
Composed during the claustrophobia of the 2020 election and the global pandemic the album channels rage and catharsis before lulling the listener into a sense of security and then thundering down again into a feedback-drenched conclusion.
Compared to their debut release, fans will recognize a more hard-hitting sound, depth of songwriting, dynamics, darker themes, and more vulnerable and introspective lyrics. Alienatör has matured and grown as musicians, with the addition of drummer Simon Paquette who has added a lot of depth to the sound, and bass player Sean Skillen becoming part of the writing process has added a new dimension. The band is a more cohesive unit and it shows in the material.
Alienatör is recommended for sludge fans as well as those who enjoy Melvins, Neurosis, and Botch.

Finnish psychedelic rock act Astral Bazaar has released a new single entitled “Beyond the Realization”.
Helsinki based Astral Bazaar’s new song dives deep deep into one’s mind with its smoothly floating melodies, mellow groove, and rich harmonies. The song’s introspective lyrics pull the listener into a mystically self-aware mindset. In this respect the song continues both the theme and story of the band’s previous album “A Sudden Realization”, released in 2021.
Band comments on the making of their new single: “Our original intention was to include this song on the album A Sudden Realization that was released last year. In fact some of the song’s musical elements were there already before we started making any other material for the album. However, in the end we decided that the song would perhaps work better on its own, and the listeners could then reflect the lyrics of the song on the story of the album.”

Matt Sorum, the Grammy-winning drummer of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, has signed with AFM Records for his first-ever album with his all-star musical collective, Kings of Chaos.
“Kings of Chaos, to me, is the reason I started playing music in the first place — for the sheer fun of it.” says Sorum. “I’m so pleased to be partnering with the team at AFM. Working with them on the creative vision for the album has been a great experience.”

A video for the first single, titled “Judgement Day” (Pre-Save HERE!), has just been premiered with Guitar World. The song is a scorching rocker performed & co-written by Sorum, Slash, Dave Kushner & Duff McKagan features the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer on drums, as well as lead vocals.
“Drawing inspiration from the 1971 film Vanishing Point morphed with imagery inspired by Natural Born Killers, Director Brian Cox (Bring Me The Horizon, Cypress Hill, The Misfits) and I conceptualized a man running from his demons on a wild ride to find redemption guided by The Reverend Willy G (portrayed by Billy F Gibbons), an Angel (portrayed by Matt’s fashion designer, choreographer wife Ace Harper) on a motorcycle and his inner child. A Wayward Wanderer searching for the light” says Matt Sorum of the video.

Finnish Hard Rock band Hootenanny Freaks had their 25th anniversary in January 2022 and now they are releasing two new songs to celebrate their quarter of a century journey.
This release also presents the new singer Arttu Kettunen who have brought loads of new fresh energy to the band – that can be heard on both songs. The song Lose it All is about things going to hell and nothing seems to work out. A music video was also made for the song and it can be viewed on the band’s YouTube channel.
Falling Waters is an empowering song that tells about how it feels when the imagination takes over and you believe you have superpowers. The song is one of the heaviest tracks the band has ever recorded.
Currently the band is working on their next full length album.

Helsinki’s longest serving gothic rock vampires THE 69 EYES are unstoppable at the moment and have returned with yet another new song “Gotta Rock” – the first to come off their upcoming, as-yet-untitled new full-length slated to drop in early 2023.
“Gotta Rock” lives up to its name. THE 69EYES version of the track initially premiered on Vain Elämää, the biggest Finnish TV primetime show, in which you could watch singer Jyrki 69 staying in a castle with seven other artists who performed each other’s songs during their time together. “Gotta Rock” is a cover from the famous Finnish hard rock band Boycott that released the rock anthem in the late ‘80s.
For this remake, THE 69 EYES received some famous help, as Jyrki 69 explains, “The Finnish classic rock band Boycott was one of our favorites in the ‘80s when we [started] THE 69 EYES. Due to the Finnish music TV program that I was recently featured in, we finally had a reason to make our own, more gothic rock sounding cover of Boycott’s ultimate classic smash hit ‘Gotta Rock.’ Die Krupps’ Jürgen Engler helped us to arrange it into this darkened mode!”

After recently releasing 3 remastered Led Zeppelin classics ‘Rock and Roll,’ ‘Immigrant Song’ and ‘Ramble On’ in the lead up, Vanilla Fudge will release the remastered album Vanilla Zeppelin digitally on 30th September via Golden Robot Records.
This is Led Zeppelin done ‘’Fudge’’ style and fully remastered. Vanilla Fudge roll these classics out in their own way, with some amazing and soaring organ interludes and adding their soul and funked up influence giving these songs a new life and identity of their own.
1. Rock and Roll 2. Immigrant Song 3. Ramble On 4. Dancing Days 5. Black Mountain Way 6. Your Time is Gonna Come 7. Dazed and Confused 8. Trampled Under Foot 9. Moby Dick 10. All of My Love 11. Babe I’m Gonna Leave You 12. Fool in the Rain
Vanilla Fudge was one of the first American groups to infuse psychedelia into a heavy rock sound to create “psychedelic symphonic rock” an eclectic genre which would, among its many off shoots, eventually morph into heavy metal.
Although, at first, the band did not record original material, they were best known for their dramatic heavy, slowed-down arrangements of contemporary pop songs which they developed into works of epic proportion.
Originally, Vanilla Fudge was a blue-eyed soul cover band called The Pigeons, formed in New Jersey in 1965 with organist, Mark Stein, bassist, Tim Bogert, drummer, Joey Brennan, and guitarist, vocalist and US Navy veteran, Vince Martell.
In the summer of 2006, the original Vanilla Fudge reunited to tour with The Doors of the 21st Century; it culminated in a VH-1 special, “Decades of Rock.”
Vanilla Fudge celebrated their 50th year Anniversary in 2017 and are still rocking the world in the current day with one of their greatest hits ‘You Keep Me Hanging On‘ featured in the Quentin Tarantinomovie ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.’

MESHUGGAH will be touring in support of their critically lauded Immutable full-length, released earlier this year via Atomic Fire. Recorded at Sweetspot Studios in Halmstad, Sweden, mixed by Rickard Bengtsson and Staffan Karlsson, and mastered by multiple Grammy award winner Vlado Meller (Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System Of A Down), the band’s ninth studio album and follow-up to their Grammy-nominated full-length The Violent Sleep Of Reason showcases just how far ahead of the pack the band continues to be.
Full of surprises and yet instantly recognizable as the work of metal’s most idiosyncratic force, Immutable redefines and redesigns the MESHUGGAH sound across more than an hour of the most stimulating and engaging music the band has ever composed. Despite the challenges of the last few years, the progressive principles that have always cemented the band’s artistic efforts remain as steadfast as ever. As we spiral towards a dystopian MESHUGGAH still stands unique with Immutable, their most fearlessly creative studio album to date.

Autograph‘s new forthcoming release “Beyond”, was the last album to feature founding member and bassist Randy Rand. The album is due out on November 18, 2022 on Frontiers Music Srl, which the band has dedicated to Randy and in his memory.
“We tragically lost our brother, Randy Rand on April 26th 2022. His passing was untimely, as he had so much rockin’ left to do. We dedicate our upcoming album “Beyond” to our band mate and founding member of Autograph. His signature bass playing is a major part of the new record and his spirit is felt throughout.”
“The new album also serves as a catalyst for bringing Autograph into a new era of rock with it’s heavy-hitting and powerful sound. In the spirit of Randy’s love for the music, his excitement on the new release and eternal brotherhood, this one’s for you. Thank you Randy for keeping us connected, bringing people together from all walks of life and fueling the social bonds that music invites. Rest easy brother, we love you.”
Steve Unger from Metal Church has taken over the bass duties for the band as the legacy of Autograph continues on with a new album dedicated to Randy Rand and a busy schedule of touring.

Since there is a green light for concerts all over the world again, SHAKRA also floods the social media with photos of huge open-air stages all over Europe, in front of thousands of people. And yet it seems that the five have skipped something compared to other bands – where is the new album? Since the big opening, the market has been literally overrun with new works created during the concert-empty period, only the Swiss seem to be once again taking different paths and immediately throwing themselves straight into the live arena. But who is familiar with the band, knows that with them actually nothing ever happens by pure accident.
After SHAKRA released their new album “Mad World” shortly before the pandemic hit the earth and wanted to go on tour with it, this had to be cancelled again immediately or partly postponed. Conscious of their duty, as the Swiss are, this was the first thing that was tackled when in spring 2022 it was finally said that the ring was open – they began to play the concerts, long awaited by the fans, more powerful and intense than ever.
Without anyone suspecting anything, now suddenly a new song appears! “The Way It Is” is the name of the track and the guys have also announced a clip for it, a week later. “The Way It Is” is available now: https://bfan.link/the-way-it-is?
On it will also be heard for the first time the successor of Dominik Pfister, Cyril Montavon, who is still affectionately called “the new guy” by the band, after two years of membership, on bass.
“I had this song idea that had been floating around in my head forever and it just had to come out,” says Thomas Muster, rhythm guitarist. “We thought the song was so awesome that we just had to record it!” adds Mark Fox, vocalist of SHAKRA.
When asked if there is even a whole album in the works, the band keeps a low profile. It is what it is – “The Way It Is”.
Los Angeles’ enigmatic songwriter and multi-instrumentalist DRAAGYN, known for her critically lauded, genre-bending blackened metal and cryptic persona, has revealed her first new music in 2 years in the form of a new EP titled “Bent Rib.” Out now, the 3 song record runs the gamut of musical design, incorporating experimental elements of black, doom and progressive metal among others that could be described as a turbulent orchestra of beauty and decay.
Commenting on the EP, Draagyn states:
“We all just want to belong. So we fool ourselves. We let others’ view of who we are become our purpose. We are convinced this hall of mirrors is the true path of souls. This cuts us off from life. The cosmos. The greater powers to which we are all connected. But there is a cord. We can find it and pull ourselves back or choose to watch it slowly strangle us. I wrote ‘Bent Rib’ as an incantation. To release myself from a world I do not belong. To weave the yarns of fate and call it my own. Man has no power over me. He does not determine me. Draagyn is the light, and is the dark. Draagyn is the good, and is the evil. Draagyn is world creator and its destroyer. It matters not whether you understand. What is important is that there is a purpose.”
DRAAGYN’s debut EP, “Bent Rib,” is an aural three-headed serpent of cacophony, “Appetite of Man,” “Beating Heart Cadaver” and “Bent Rib,” each with their own mystifying identity and slithering scales of sonic perplexity that lure you in with enchanting whispers then set you ablaze in an inferno of furious rage.
About DRAAGYN: From her previous releases, Draagyn has been coined a “genre-bending blackened tour de force” by Decibel and Brooklyn Vegan. As songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Draagyn’s sound straddles the spectrum of light and dark, bridging delicate emotions with the raw force of metal and rock in a truly singular style. Her songwriting guides other musical outliers into masochistic darkness, and yet, in stark contrast, just as quietly whispers to the wretched and heartbroken, offering refuge in her tender melodies. And while the foundations of Draagyn’s music remain rooted in rock, she does as she pleases. She may choke it with blast beats, crush it with proggy groove, or drown it in folky, pensive vocals. But the recipe works. The deep musicality of her approach is undeniable, and for those both patient and brave, her songs lure listeners to another world, free of expectations and genre constraint. Draagyn threatens us with her tumultuous vision of death and musical rebirth.
Heavy, cinematic gothic artist, THE EFFIGY has released a lyric video for their new single “One With My Enemy”. The single is also out today on all streaming platforms. Portraying a dark and profound narrative of emotional abuse, THEEFFIGY creates dynamic musical arrangements to convey the spiraling torment experienced by the track’s protagonist.
Influenced by the likes of GARBAGE, JOY DIVISION, EVANESCENCE, and KEANE, and thematically inspired by gothic and folk imagery, along with mythology, THEEFFIGY‘s music is a cinematic array of eclectic styles. Following their previous single “Cindersun”, which draws from Ancient Greek mythology, telling the tale of Icarus and the Sun who are framed as two lovers forever at odds, “One With My Enemy” exhibits another side to their music. Fusing delicate piano melodies, with heavy guitars and synths evoking a nod to the early noughties, a gothic through-line underpins the track. THEEFFIGY‘s vocals deliver both a soft intimate tone and powerful soaring lyrics that aptly reflect the intensifying mood of the song.
“One With My Enemy” once again showcases THEEFFIGY’s flair for catchy hooks and impressive compositions. The single conducts a compelling journey that gradually builds as the narrative progresses. Become enamored with THEEFFIGY’s striking sound.

Heavy trio RESIDUALSELF are conjuring a melting pot of heavy sounds in their new single “Witches”. Spellbinding solos, dynamic groove rhythms and devilish harsh vocals blend together in this enchanting release. The offering “Witches” will manifest on September 16th.
The band comments:
“RESIDUAL SELF created this song for the events 330 years ago taking place in Salem, Massachusetts. With the lyrical themes of revenge and retribution, the witches have returned, along with their magick. In New England, where RESIDUAL SELF is based, there is a huge jam band scene that both Rex and David have experience playing in. This song “Witches” draws on both our background experience, and our location close to Salem. It is the lengthiest song we’ve made so far with multiple guitar solos from Josh. This is our answer to a jam style song, but bringing the hard and heavy style RESIDUAL SELF is known for.”
“Witches” written by Rex Mazza
Initially created as a solo project by Rex Mazza, RESIDUALSELF soon grew into a three-piece and the outfit signed with SliptrickRecords in 2020 to release their first full length album Revenge. The single “Witches” is a concoction blending their heavier aggressive sound with the jam style. This is achieved by the band through the grunts and growls of Rex, Josh’s multiple lengthy guitar solos, and David’s prowess that keeps the steady drum groove going. With their stark sounds and somber lyrical themes based on lustful intent, greedy resolve, and wrathful decisions, RESIDUAL SELF aims to awaken the true primal nature and strike one’s soul to the bone, unveiling who you truly are; a monster? a devil? or something more?
Become bewitched and entranced by the compelling rhythms of RESIDUALSELF‘s heavy sound. Experience the folly and charm of their magic, but beware the devilry and dark side to their craft.

Witherfall has absolutely nothing to do with this tour cancellation. We found out during rehearsals that the tour had been pulled, one week before the band were set to fly out to pick up our bus. Witherfall had every last production detail on our end completely solidified. Airline tickets, Bus, Trailer, Driver, Tour manager, Shipping of Tour merchandise (which has dates printed on them that no longer exist!!!) Rehearsals, Witherfall Beer at venues and countless other expenses that will not be reimbursed. Needless to say, we are devastated by this news. Each one of the aforementioned pieces took months of planning and every detail was carefully managed making this endeavor very time consuming and VERY expensive.
The reality of the math is Witherfall will need to eat the upfront costs of over $12K not including what our crew, and band members will lose because they turned down other work. None of these expenses will be recouped. We apologize to our fans that has had plans that were affected. We had every intention of bearing the cost to put the band out on the road. Again, we had everything planned and were ready and excited to get to play and meet the fans coming out.
We are extremely upset by this last minute rug pull. Even the best case scenario the band would still be operating at a loss but that is the price of bringing our music to you all. If you’d like to purchase a souvenir of tour and support the band (Tour Funeral Expenses) you can get one of these packages or a shirt here:
