The band is putting the finishing touches on the new album “Portrait Of A Wasteland”, which will be released sometime in 2023.
Formed in 2015, ADVERSOR released a demo and two full-length albums, “Rise to Survive” and “The End of Mankind”, in quick succession: both records allowed them to play everywhere in Italy and Europe alongside acts such as Exciter, Protector, Nifelheim, Gama Bomb and many others.

Nuclear Blast issues: Polish death metal legends VADER are proud to announce their “Revelation Of The Wicked – North American 2023” tour. The 29-date trek will kick off in Arizona on March 18th, the tour will make stops in Atlanta, Quebec City, and Salt Lake City before concluding in San Diego on April 17th. From British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley in Canada, Nomad has been making a name for themselves locally for the last several years, playing at local fests and supporting big-name acts in the extreme metal scene. Now they have their debut album “The Mountain” ready for consumption and their blend of progressive, groovy death metal is sure to impress existing fans and entice new listeners. Their first single “Burning Alive” was the first song they wrote together, pieced together at their very first jam. The lyrics were inspired by the heat of that day, and the careless ignition of forest fires. They added blazing riffs, smokey vocals, and smooth bass lines to round it out, making it an impressive introduction to Nomad. They share their thoughts on the album:
“We’re hoping that it fills the need for a little groove in the metal scene. We’ve spoken to many people in the audience after playing a show that say there are not enough bands like Nomad out there that like to slow it down and catch you with a good hook once in a while. We feel that many emotions and influences can be felt throughout this album and are sure to keep the listeners engaged and entertained with heavy riffs, blasting beats, and dynamic vocals.”
There have been a few lineup changes in Nomad since their inception and each one of those members has left their mark on the band’s music. They’ve always worked collaboratively, one member bringing in the skeleton of a song and it being workshopped until it meets everyone’s standard. This had led to masterful consistency, present in every groovy riff, every chunky chord, and throughout the blasting of drums.

“The Mountain” was mixed by drummer Bretton Melanson and mastered by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy). It is recommended for fans of Gojira, Lamb of God, and Pantera.
Tucson, AZ thrashers Scars of Atrophy, formerly known in the 80s as Atrophy on Roadrunner Records, rebranded their lineup in 2020 and recently unleashed their return to the mosh pit with the new EP “Nations Divide” in June 2022, 30-plus years after the release of their last full-length 1990’s “Violent By Nature”. The band approached this comeback EP as both the entertainers and the audience. The foundations of EXNUN were laid by bassist and vocalist Can Temiz in 2018 as a project that blends many different genres of metal on the axis of hardcore punk and death metal. In 2019, their first album “Decomposition Of An Infant Soul” was released. The album drew a lot of attention in the Turkish local scene and was critically acclaimed by the Turkish reviewers. One of the songs from the album, “Rape of God” was chosen by the Canadian YouTube channel Banger TV viewers to be the theme song for the Banger TV show “Overkill Global” by a landslide
The band took its final form with the participation of Ozan Çam (Kozmik Yıkım) on guitars and vocals in 2019, Ersin Çağlayan (Radical Noise) on guitars and vocals in 2020, and Aberrant Engin (Burial Invocation, Diabolizer) on drums in 2021.

Finnish metal band Koitos released a single “Tämä Maa” (eng. “This earth”), which is the second release from the upcoming debut album. First single “Ilman kurssia” was released in October.

Finnish melancholic melodic death metal band Dead Serenity has released a second single from their upcoming debut album. The song Evanecent is drawing inspiration from the presence of Death and the disintegration of close relationships. It’s a bittersweet expression of a search for meaning in life from which all light has been drained. Perfect for cold, dark nights when contemplating life, death and lost love.

The single marks another milestone for the band as it’s part of their first concept album, No Devil Lived On, which will be released next year.
Founding member Jason Myers sets the scene, “Though written at the height of the global pandemic, the messages in ‘10,000 Light Years From Home’ ring truer today than ever before. The lyrics are taken from the ship’s log of a crew on a doomed space voyage. The story takes place in the near future when an elite group of global government officials as well as several of the world’s wealthiest business leaders, and foreign royals take flight on a mission to escape the planet they helped decimate while seeking to colonize new worlds to satiate their egos and personal fortunes. Will these intergalactic robber barons accomplish their selfish cosmic agenda, or will the prophecy of Gaia’s mysterious occult council prevail? Tune in to find out.”
Featuring a guest spoken word section by Paul Messerle, the guitars and bass for “10,000 Light Years From Home” were recorded by Quinn Lukas at QL Audio, and the vocals and drums were recorded by Andrew D’Cagna at Sacred Sound Studio. The song was mixed and mastered by Brad Cox at Black Paw Studios. Aubrianna Myers handled the graphic design while Jason Myers produced the video using Midjourney AI illustrations animated by Emre Alan.

New Album “Toxic Apokalypse” Out Now! via CDN Records

This past July in Toronto, ON at The Rockpile, Canadian thrashers Korrosive were opening support for legendary speed metal maniacs Exciter. During this epic show night, the band took the opportunity to capture the whole live experience for their fans. There were no corrections, overdubs, or tweaks made to the video. It is Korrosive being pure, raw, and unfiltered.
The band adds about the video:
“We like to thank our guitarist Jack Neila for directing and editing the video. He used five cameras to capture the whole show in glorious 4K, complete with stage diving, windmilling, and a massive wall-of-death. We like to also thank Jake Disman for recording the audio directly from the soundboard, and our producer Ben Erikson (he did both our albums) for the mix. The sound is crisp, clear, and heavy. Enjoy the headbanging!”
Korrosive recently released their latest album “Toxic Apokalypse” via CDN Records (digital and CD) along with vinyl and cassette coming in 2023 (release date to be determined).
The new album is an aural brute-de-force of eight tracks ready to blitz the moshpit. Even though each song on the album is quite different in a way from the others, it’s all uniquely Korrosive. Songs deal with topics of science fiction, armageddon, and “what if” scenarios. For each track on the record, the band pushes them to new levels of velocity and extremity, from ‘Fatal Strike’, which has a ton of blast beats and solos, yet is still unmistakably thrash, to ‘Radioaktive Scourge’, filled with pure aggression, unlike anything they’ve released before. From its speed, the lyrics, and the sheer intensity, this song may be the shortest track on the record, but makes the largest impact and it’s over before you know it. And also strongly recommended is ‘Hail the Hellfire’, perhaps the band’s anthem to the entire “Toxic Apokalypse” album. Written as a reflection of the period when the full-length was being composed, this track discusses the brutality of war and the end result of each and every individual involved in its cause, regardless of side.
Recommended for fans of Sodom, Kreator, Death, and Sepultura, Korrosive is high-octane thrash that melds elements from extreme metal such as death and grind.
“Toxic Apokalypse” was produced by Ben Erikson with mastering done by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Kreator, Cro-Mags, Municipal Waste, Soulfly). The album artwork was created by the infamous Ed Repka (Dark Angel, Death, Hirax, Megadeth, Suicidal Angels, Venom).
