EXHUMED will hit the blood-soaked road with their new album, Red Asphalt, set for release on February 20th via Relapse Records.
The masters of gore metal rev up and prepare for one of 2026’s most frenetic, unhinged slabs of sonic obliteration with a new video for lead single, “Unsafe At Any Speed.”
“We’re very stoked to be back in your earholes with Red Asphalt. Our recent albums have taken you with us through the graveyards and operating theaters of 19th century Scotland, the horror aisles of the video rental stores of our youths, and through the band’s history itself,” notes EXHUMEDmastermindMatt Harvey. “This time around, we’re inviting you to accompany us to a place that we spend a disproportionate amount of our lives, someplace familiar yet far more dangerous than it feels, a place that can take you to the hospital or the grave in more ways than you can imagine: the American roadway.”
Watch EXHUMED’s “Unsafe At Any Speed” video HERE. Stream/presave the track HERE.
Preorder Red Asphalt on LP/CD/CS/streaming via Relapse.com HERE.
The latest wrong turn from the driving force of gore metal, EXHUMED, Red Asphalt crashes the band’s hook-laden, high-speed deathgrind into whiplash-inducing grooves and dangerous musical curves. Red Asphalt is a love letter to the road – horrific accidents, vehicular homicide, defective cars, gore-filled instructional videos, zombified biker gangs, and more.
True to the band’s spirit, Red Asphalt drags the listener through a whirlwind of riffy madness. Tracks like the aptly titled “Unsafe At Any Speed,” the horrifying “Shovelhead,” and “The Iron Graveyard” ooze with sleaze and groove while retaining all of the high-octane, full-throttle, white-knuckle madness you’ve come to demand from EXHUMED. Take the album for a spin and get your kicks on Route 666!

PUSTULANT FLESH is about to make the sewer seem scenic with their first major release – Gurgling Pustulence. This raw and rotten debut drops August 8th, via Extremely Rotten Productions.
Formed in 2022 and strengthened with an additional guitarist in 2024, this Copenhagen-based death grind outfit delivers a sickening and uncompromising sound live. Raw, rotten, and relentlessly filthy, Gurgling Pustulence is an auditory dissection with clear roots in classic grind and death metal, ranging from Blood Duster to Exhumed and Carcass.
The band has unleashed the first single off of Gurgling Pustulence, a ravenous cadaver march titled “March of the Ravenous Dead.” Stream this brutal procession of blast beats, flesh-eating riffs, and cemetery atmosphere now at: pustulant-flesh.bandcamp.com/album/gurgling-pustulence
Track-listing: 1) Beyond Lobotomy 2) Cadaver Creation 3) March of the Ravenous Dead 4) Dødsangst 5) A Single Muscle Twitches as I Wrest my Blade from your Gut to your Throat and Leave you Dying, Helpless and Alone 6) Carrion Offspring 7) Gurgling Pustulence
The EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Benjamin “Polle” Radtleff at Radtleff Recordings, who captured the band’s raw and putrid expression with sharp precision and maximum foulness.
PUSTULANT FLESH: Mike Dalsgaard – guitar & vocals Daniel Bror Ditlevsen – guitar Peter Jacobsen – bass & vocals Filip Dursun – drums
Gurgling Pustulence will be released on cassette, CD, and vinyl in three different color variants, marking a putrid new chapter in Danish death metal.
This is not just a debut, it’s a declaration. A vile, slimy, and violent introduction to PUSTULANT FLESH and the decay they bring with them.
I went to see NAPALM DEATH with the Melvins last Friday night, at Bogart’s in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was the second time I’ve seen NAPALM DEATH during my Metal life. My Metal buddy Troy was with me and we’ve seen many, many shows together. It’s always good times!
We started the evening at Martino’s with some beer and loaded fries, directly across the street from Bogart’s. A big sports bar it is; with exceptional staff and I really dig the place. Once we saw the line begin to file into Bogart’s, we went across the street to get our night ignited by the metal that was to ensue.
NAPALM DEATH tore the atmosphere to shreds with their legendary extreme grindcore metal and nonconformist attitude! I was so very psyched out of my Metal skull! Barney Greenway is a Metal icon. ‘Nuff said, now please enjoy the photos, thank you for stopping by and Metal be thy name.
“Punish The Runt” is the latest single from Australia’s KING PARROT. The track comes by way of the band’s forthcoming new full-length, A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot, set for release on June 6th via Housecore Records in North America.
A hook laden, auditory assault encompassing all of the elements that KING PARROT fans have come to know and love in the band’s sound, “Punish The Runt” encapsulates modern grindcore elements, with a punk rock ethos, and grooving riffs making for a true reflection of the band.
Comments vocalist Matt Young, “This new one is a personal favorite of mine. We enjoyed putting this one together and it’s got every aspect of what the band does in it: grind, thrash, punk, and even rock ‘n’ roll elements. It was one of the first tracks we put together in the writing sessions. We hope you all dig listening as much as we did writing.”

A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot will be released on CD, LP, cassette, and digital formats. Find physical preorders at the Housecore Records webshop HERE, Bandcamp HERE, and all other digital services HERE.
A Young Person’s Guide To King Parrot marks KING PARROT’s first new output in five years. A hostile and abrasive slab of sensory destroying anthems, the record features ten thoroughly crafted blasts through the psyche of this crazed Aussie quintet. Recorded at Melbourne’s Dangertone studios with engineer Luke Walton, it’s the first full-length album since 2017’s critically adored Ugly Produce offering and their first new music since 2022’s Holed Up In The Lair EP.
Applying a similar approach to the writing process of their previous records, which has been historically organic and old-school, KING PARROT adopted a new approach to the studio process. Pulling the new record together was a meticulously creative endeavour and the final product is the most complete, aggressive, and urgent the band has ever sounded.
KING PARROT recently wrapped up a monstrous thirty-five date arena tour through Europe and the UK supporting Pantera and Power Trip followed by a full European club tour with death metal pioneers, Master. In May/June the band will take to the streets again on an eleven date Australian tour with more live adventures to be announced in the coming days. For tickets, visit, kingparrot.net.

Tales From The Entrails: A Necrology, the new EP from San Francisco-based gore dealers CARTILAGE, is out today and streaming everywhere through Everlasting Spew Records.
The dead may rest but the grind goes on. CARTILAGE is serving up another frenzied feast with Tales From The Entrails: A Necrology. The blastmasters took their studio operations to home base, enlisting Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Ghoul, Thrice) for recording and mixing duties, while the genre’s perennial grindfather Leon del Muerte (Impaled, Exhumed, Nails) handled mastering, the record then completed with art by Jason V Roberts and photos by Kei Mowry.
The Bay Area gore titans continue to spill their guts across the land but with new tools in their trade: twisting harmonies and cinematic set-pieces now compliment CARTILAGE’s arsenal of blistering blasts, ripcord riffs, and deranged shrieks fans know to expect. Tales From The Entrails: A Necrology offers the biggest color palette on a CARTILAGE release to date. Now with even more shades of red.

Italian crust / grindcore squad HORRID HUMAN CONDITION will release their debut album Perpetual Imbalance on April 18th 2025 via Time To Kill Records.
The first single, “Abused by Life”, is now streaming HERE.
The band commented:
“‘Abused by Life’ was the first track composed by the band, shortly after the formation in the summer of 2022. Musically, it is a synthesis of the influences found throughout the album, ranging from neocrust to more traditionally crust punk sounds, with some black metal elements. The song deals with the theme of human exploitation in the workplace. In an increasingly fast-paced and cynical society, the ones who suffer the consequences are the workers, forced to give up their rights just to survive, spending a part of their existence in a state of alienation.”
“The lyrics are inspired by two major films: ‘Metropolis’ by Fritz Lang and ‘The Working Class Goes to Heaven’ by Elio Petri.”
Track-list:
01 – Prelude to Failure 02 – Man is Overrated 03 – Heavy Burden 04 – The Great Decay 05 – Endless Nightmare 06 – Scorn 07 – A New Famine 08 – Price to Pay 09 – Nowhere to Hide 10 – Abused by Life 11 – Disguise 12 – Total Indifference 13 – The Last Era 14 – Black Lungs
Band Bio: Horrid Human Condition was formed in the summer of 2022 when Alessandro (vocals), Claudio (guitar) and Marino (bass) met Carlo (drums). Drawing from parallel experiences with other projects (laCasta, Nigredo), the first sessions came out very productive: in a few months the band wrote 14 songs, played live for the first time in March 2023 and recorded in December of the same year.
The band’s name is a sign of the social and existential dread of mankind. It’s the disillusion that comes forth when one realizes that the system in which all of us live thrives not for the good of the people, but for the good of the rich and powerful, in the expense of the far majority of us who are less fortunate.
It’s the disillusion that comes forth when one realizes that money, religion, morals, politics and so on are just tools used by power to maintain itself.
Musically, Crust Punk and Grindcore can convey this dread very well, with their extreme and fast-paced rhythms. A sharp and high-pitched guitar, a sludgy, acid, monolithic bass and machine-gun-like drums support screamed-out and barked vocals, in a Triumph of desperate energy, where the band actively seeks out contact with the public.

Yup. Napalm Death. Grindcore pioneers. When it comes to Extreme Metal it doesn’t truly get any more extreme. Napalm Death opened for the prolific GWAR, back on November 11th, at Bogart’s in Cincinnati Ohio. It was an evening that made me feel like the world was okay even though it’s not.
My good buddy Troy accompanied me to this wonderful event and the two of us felt very much at home with all of the beautiful insanity around us. Whatever was going on outside the walls of Bogart’s on this night I could’ve given two shits about. Napalm Death was live onstage!
It wasn’t that easy taking photos of Napalm Death. First and foremost, I was on the threshold of the pit and even outside the pit bodies were being tossed about like sacks of potatoes. Using my iPhone for these photos while trying not to get injured was actually fun, in its own demented way.
I was able to catch a couple of photos (above and below) showing drummer Danny Herrera. No, it wasn’t easy to do.
If you’re looking for a set list here, no can do. I survived just 3 songs in the pit and the rest of the time I was thrashing about like a lunatic stepping on fire hot legos. Song titles were not of my concern that night; throwing down was. At my age, I feel very fortunate I was able to throw down at all.
I’m pleased I’ve been able to share these Napalm Death photos and thoughts with you! My passion for Metal was double downed on November 11th, while at this show. Stay safe out there and… Metal be thy name! – Stone

NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST is a new band born in April 2015 in Świdnik, Poland. That August they released a demo called Mutant Inferno which met with a very positive response, and the band was subsequently offered shows at Into the Abyss Festival alongside Dead Congregation, Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, and others, Mini Merciless Festival, a run of shows across Ireland with Dead Goats, and more.
In addition to their upcoming Overkill Commando full-length release through Selfmadegod, the Mutant Inferno demo will soon be released as a split cassette through Massacre Distro, a split CD will be released through Defense Records/Mythrone Promotion, and a split 12′ on Devil’s Nun Records is on the way, in each case accompanied by different bands to be announced in the coming months.
On behalf of Swedish Grindcore stalwarts GADGET, Relapse Records is excited to announce that The Great Destroyer, the band’s first full-length in a decade, will see worldwide release this March 4th, 2016.
With the announcement, Noisey has premiered two new tracks from the album; stream “Violent Hours (For A Veiled Awakening)” and the title track “The Great Destroyer” now at THIS LOCATION.
Though the band has largely flown under the radar in the general metal consciousness, Gavle, Sweden’s GADGET has roots that trace back to 1997. The band has always included influences from every other extreme genre that they’ve been fond of, like doom, sludge, hardcore punk, death metal, black metal and more, never letting genre boundaries stand in the way of their path of destruction. At the time of the band’s formation, GADGET existed as the grinding alter-ego of a Metalcore band whose members, including founder William Blackmon, simply switched instruments. Rikard Olsson and William teamed up in the winter of 1999/2000, and wrote the first GADGET demo as a duo.
GADGET then joined forces with Emil Englund to record a second demo, which was strong enough to grab the attention of Relapse Records, who signed the band for the release of their debut full-length Remote(2004), now featuring Fredrik Nygren. Remote was extensively well-received, as was its 2006 follow-up The Funeral March. After touring Europe twice and performing at dozens of festivals worldwide, including at Maryland Deathfest and Auditory Assault in the US, GADGET has proven itself to be a relentless Grindcore force live as well as on record.
Album cover artwork by Randy Ortiz.
A blistering high-speed assault of relentless grind, GADGET’s new album The Great Destroyer is a cohesive exercise in extremity that blends hints of Doom, Sludge and Death Metal with unadulterated, old-school Grindcore. The result is an album that is as memorable and infectious as it is pummeling and explosive. With The Great Destroyer, GADGET has released their most accomplished material to date!
The Great Destroyer will see release on CD, LP and Digital formats. Physical preorders are available now via Relapse HERE; digital pre-orders can be found at GADGET‘s Bandcamp page HERE.

If the band name doesn’t spell it out for you, the album title surely will. This is nothing but grindcore – stripped down, unpretentious, and loud. At the same time, it’s much more than that. UNREST is comprised of craftsmen from bands both familiar (WOE, TRENCHROT and those about to be (Dark Descent’s up-and-coming doom act, CRYPT SERMON).
The riff and song construction throughout this debut album is right in line from what you’d expect from a group of such capable veterans. They wear their NASUM (and by proxy, NAPALM DEATH) influence on their sleeves, but through sheer mastery of the craft elevate the material well beyond a mere tribute to old masters.

But if you really want to see the Bastards play at home, then Obscene Extreme Trutnov is the grounds for the final massacre. They have been blasting the shit on stage since the festival’s birth back in 1999 and raised the most infernal stage diving pits for countless times through the years that followed.
26 years after their conception Cripple Bastards still hold the banner high as Italy’s most hostile and aggressive grind/hardcore unit around. With one foot firmly in the past and all the vicious savagery of manic fast 80’s hardcore extremity, Cripple Bastards are also charging forwards. With bloodshot eyes and a rabid ‘get out and bite them’ attitude, this band are ready to introduce their brand new 2014 full length ‘Nero In Metastasi’ on Relapse Records and they will consolidate their ongoing mission of bringing nihilistic, fuck-you-all, grinding hatred to every corner of an underserving mankind.
Cripple Bastards will also be introducing for the first time ever on Trutnov’s Battlefield their 5 piece line-up with new axeman Wild Vitto on second guitar which will only enhance their wall of hate/grind fury!

Annihilation is nigh, as the debut release from Philadelphia’s hypershredder trio, DIE CHOKING, prepares to break free from the internet’s restraints and into the human populous this week in a physical manifestation.
Featuring Paul J Herzog (ex-Total Fucking Destruction) on bass/vocals, Joshua T. Cohen (Cop Problem) on drums, and Jeffrey V. Daniels (Burden) on guitar, DIE CHOKING’s ungodly fast, smoldering concoction of brutal punk mayhem, breakneck grindcore, and hectic raw metal has the trio quickly becoming known across the tri-state area through their recent widespread tour actions and now beyond with their debut self-titled EP.
DIE CHOKING was recorded by Brutal Truth guitarist Dan O’Hare at his Mark It Zero Studios in New Jersey, and unloads five point-blank faceblasters in only five minutes and forty-four seconds. Following its initial digital release by the band in January, DIE CHOKING partnered with The Earsplit Compound’s label sub faction, The Compound, who will now unload the self-titled EP on vinyl, in a run of 300 copies on standard black wax with a high-gloss cover. The physical product will be transported to our barracks this weekend and will be immediately available.
Amidst other upcoming shows, including an in-store at Siren Records on April 4th, DIE CHOKING was hand-picked by Decibel Magazine founder Albert Mudrian to supply local support for the Philadelphia stop the publication’s third annual national tour now underway. Featuring Noisem, Gorguts, The Black Dahlia Murder and headliners, Carcass, the trek will invade the band’s hometown on April 12th at The Trocadero Theatre. Less than two weeks after their Decibel Tour set, DIE CHOKING will hammer Western Pennsylvania ‘bangers in Pittsburgh on April 24th with The Compound label mates, Enabler. More shows are currently being planned in preparation for the band’s second EP, recorded earlier this month once again with Dan O’Hare, which is coming together for release this Summer, and will continue as they begin to set up their debut LP late this year.
Currently in full-on tour hype mode, Decibel is running an exclusive interrogation with DIE CHOKING alongside a stream of the entire EP RIGHT HERE.

Olympia, Washington-based 20 Buck Spin continuously defies all extreme music genre boundaries, the label’s vast juggernaut of a roster containing top-tier acts from all realms and scenes of the underground, and now continues this tradition with the new induction of mysterious entity, DEAD IN THE MANGER.
Very little information was provided to 20 Buck Spin regarding DEAD IN THE MANGER when the label was initially contacted about a release, only that the band delivers a mix of depressive black metal and grind (which seemed on paper an impossible combination) and that the intention is to leave a feeling of unease and despondency in the listener. Nonetheless, a cursory listen to the outfit’s debut MLP, Transience, leaves no doubt that DEAD IN THE MANGER succeeds handily in creating music both brutally violent and coldly agonizing.
___________________________
Transience begins with an atmospheric repetitive motive conjuring a bleak sadness that sets the stage for an urgent right turn to scalpel-sharp, maximum BPM aggression and multiple stab wounds of hate-driven malcontent. Filled with ill will and revulsion, DEAD IN THE MANGER walks a fine line between all out sensory violence and post trauma exhaustion.
With just six songs in less than twenty minutes — succinctly named Parts I-VI — Transience destroys the listener with a calculated premeditation in a short time, and is intended as a first glimpse at what DEAD IN THE MANGER is preparing for, as a debut full-length album is currently in the works.
Transience will be unleashed on MLP and digital formats in North America on April 29th and in Europe on May 2nd. DEAD IN THE MANGER’s LP debut will follow later in 2014, also on 20 Buck Spin.
