Chilean death-doom cult DEVS MORTVORVM have unveiled the second taste of their upcoming EP with the brand new single “Orgy in the Graveyard”, now streaming exclusively via a premiere at Mystification Zine. Drenched in decay and driven by the band’s signature blend of cavernous doom and old-school death metal, this track sets the tone for what promises to be a truly morbid release.
From its lumbering riffs to its sepulchral growls, “Orgy in the Graveyard” drags listeners deep into the crypt, offering a glimpse of the rotting majesty that awaits on June 6, 2025, when the full EP drops via Apocalyptic Productions.
Formed in 2015 by David Briones (guitar) and Claudio Carrasco (vocals), DEVS MORTVORVM emerged with a clear mission: to play Graveyard Doom Death, inspired by legendary acts such as Goatlord, Derketa, early Cathedral and Autopsy. The band is now completed by Andrés Henríquez on drums and Felipe Vuletich on bass, bringing even more weight and rot to their already imposing sound.
This upcoming EP features five tracks, three original compositions, a crushing cover of “Acid Orgy” by U.S. cult legends Goatlord, and a raw live track that captures the band’s visceral stage presence. Following the haunting release of “Seaweed Braids” Italian all-female melodic death metal band Hellfox returns with a powerful new chapter: “Atlas,” the second single from their upcoming album The Spectrum Of Human Gravity, due out via Rockshots Records.
Combining heavy melodic death metal foundations with modern textures and acidic synths, “Atlas” is a crushing and introspective anthem. Lyrically, the song draws on the myth of the Titan condemned to bear the weight of the sky; a metaphor for the emotional burdens we carry and the silent expectations imposed by society. “We have no control over what happens around us,” the band explains, “but letting go of that weight may be the most liberating act of all.”
Hellfox’s music thrives on contrast: dual female vocals (melodic and growled), distorted layers, and atmospheric electronics merge into an emotional and immersive sound. “Fields of Emerald Fire was written concerning The Great Hunger,” explains singer/guitarist James Benson. “As a band that has often written about historical events, as well as current events, we used this opportunity to draw parallels between the past and present actions of governments and their oppression of minorities.”

All the members have experience with other punk/thrash metal projects, including Rake-Off, Hyle, Siege Stompers and Call The Cops.
The aim for WASTE CULT has been to create different sounds and atmospheres to those other projects, exploring a slower doomier approach to their sound. In mid 2022 they self-released an eponymous 4-track EP on tape, and on the back of that started playing shows across Italy.
The first full length, Blame, is the characterisation of all their different influences, with a more defined identity – taking inspiration from the doom classics to the more modern post-metal sounds. This reality took shape after years experimenting in the practice room, with Blame bearing witness to a more introspective and personal approach within both the music and lyrics.

Aesthetic Death has always been a fan of stoner doom sounds and like many, was schooled on the likes of Kyuss, Monster Magnet and Black Sabbath. Yet, Aesthetic Death has rarely had opportunity to work on any release with bands from these lands of sound.
South Texas metal juggernauts OVERT ENEMY have released their explosive new single, “Fire in the Skies,” along with a gripping lyric video that captures the chaos and urgency of all-out war. The track is the eighth on their upcoming concept album Insurrection, and it marks the second chapter in a three-song arc chronicling an alien invasion.
“Fire in the Skies” brings a heavy dose of hardcore-inspired riffing and battlefield energy. Originally nicknamed “hardcorish” in demo form, the song pulses with a frantic, boots-on-the-ground urgency. It is a musical call to arms for when the invasion hits home.
“This one’s about the invasion and a Red Dawn sense of urgency,” the band explains. “You roll up to your buddy’s house and you’re like, ‘dude, it’s time to go to war.’ The riffs are definitely hardcore inspired, and we’ve been playing this one live for a while now. We even dropped a live version on our Thunder in the Hill Country album.”
The new lyric video puts a visual exclamation point on the track’s unrelenting pace, pairing the high-octane riffing with images of conflict, resistance, and the looming unknown. Fans who’ve seen the band perform the song live will recognize the energy, but now it’s been captured and cranked up for the studio version.

In 2025, WARMEN presents themselves heavier, tighter, and more determined than ever before. Technical death metal force EXTERMINATUS has unveiled a new guitar playthrough video for “Starbound,” the third track from their latest album Echoes From A Distant Star Part 1. Shot on a vibrant spring day in Vancouver, this video captures not only the technical finesse of guitarists Elia Baghbaniyan (KIESEL) and Tabreez Azad (SCHECTER), but also a striking contrast between the band’s heavy, groove-infused sound and the serene setting of Habitat Island.

This was my second time seeing the Melvins, duringmy Metal life. I was pumped from start to finish!
Buzz Osborne was on top of his game! The legend never slowed down for a second! Entire band and crowd was lit! After nearly a decade since their debut, metal band PATCHWORK returns with the release of their powerful new album, Scars. The album is accompanied by the debut of a lyric video for the emotionally devastating closing track, “At The End,” available HERE.
Formed in 2010 by five longtime friends reuniting after years away from music, PATCHWORK has evolved from a thrash cover band into a formidable force of original songwriting. San Jose metalcore/hardcore band MUGSHOT has released the 2nd single, ‘Next To Your Idols,’ from their highly anticipated sophomore album, All The Devils Are Here, that’s out June 20th via Pure Noise Records.
‘“Next To Your Idols’ is a critique on celebrity culture and the adornment of those who use their platform to mistreat or take advantage of others. It’s an indictment on Hollywood and the manipulation that surrounds it and similar circles.“
Produced by Randy Leboeuf (Kublai Kahn, The Acacia Strain, Gideon, Bad Omens), MUGSHOT’s massive 12 track record, All The Devils Are Here, marks a new beginning for the incendiary band, following their 2023 EP, Cold Will, and nearly a decade after their riveting full-length Dull Boy.
With a lineup consisting of Ringo Waterman (vocals), Michael Demko (guitar), Connor Haines (drums) and Ciro Abraham (bass), MUGSHOT have found a brutal groove, melding influences of metal and hardcore in a violent storm of unrelenting chaos. Featuring the previously released singles ‘Vale of Tears,’ ‘Die In Fear‘ and ‘Afore A Waking Nightmare,’ their long anticipated album ushers in a thrilling new wave of rage for metalcore fans.

Polish death metal legends VADER are pleased to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their classic Litany album, which was released on Metal Blade Records in 2000, with a special vinyl reissue.
The original eleven tracks/thirty-one minutes of Litany come newly remastered for vinyl by Wojtek Wieslawski (Hertz Recording Studio). The LP also includes a sixteen-page booklet with new liner-notes by band leader, guitarist/vocalist Peter Wiwczarek.
The Litany (25th Anniversary Reissue) LP will be available on June 6th via Metal Blade Records in the following color variants:

Dutch metal powerhouse Martyr has announced their brand new studio album entitled Dark Believer for an August 15th release on ROAR! A video clip for the band’s first single, the colossal album title track is now premiering below!
“The first single from our upcoming album Dark Believer is HERE. BOCC make their Horror Pain Gore Death Productions debut with the compilation Obrint El Taüt! Akron, Ohio-based sludge metal merchants in RADIAN continue their Spring 2025 tour actions this week. RADIAN emerged in the winter of 2017, founded by guitarist Mike Burns (ex-Rue, Fistula, Sofa King Killer). Their vision to merge groove with grime culminated in the roaring, sludgy assault of their independent debut LP, Chapters (2019), praised by The Obelisk as delivering, “that extra bit of aggression one finds underlying the most satisfying of sludge metals.” Fueled by a growing response from the heavy metal community, the dynamic four-piece embraced their DIY roots, building a steady following throughout the Midwest.

This momentum led to the writing and release of their punishing sophomore album, Discordian, on Burns’ own El Burno Records in December 2021. Relentless shows and touring in support of Discordian brought both growth and turbulence, with multiple lineup shifts along the way. By Fall 2022, drummer Derek Vaive (Ommnus) joined the ranks, followed by vocalist Corey Staley (A Damn Shame) solidifying the new lineup in Fall 2024. Now armed with fresh material and a renewed sense of purpose, RADIAN is set to hit the road again in Spring 2025, delivering their brand of sludgy doom with unrelenting force.
RADIAN is currently in the later stages of completing work on their third LP. Stand by for updates as the album is prepared for release in the months ahead.
