Good news, GLORYFUL’s new album is set to be released in late April.
“Ocean Blade” was mixed by Dan Swanö (Edge Of Sanity, Asphyx, Motorjesus) at Unisound and mastered by Powerwolf’s Charles Greywolf at Studio Greywolf. Kris Verwimp is responsible for the cover artwork.

The band has now also introduced their new bassist! Shortly before the recording of the upcoming album “Ocean Blade”, former bassist Oliver Karasch decided to leave GLORYFUL.

March 5, 2014 Cincinnati, Ohio – The Warriors of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization is excited to confirm the return of one of last year’s Pre-Fest Showcase feature bands, St. Paul, Minn., Power Metal band NOBLE BEAST to perform at this summer’s Warriors Of Metal Fest VII. NOBLE BEAST will be supporting its self-titled debut full-length, which will be released on March 22. The Warriors of Metal Fest VII will be held June 26 – 28 at O’Shecky’s Live Bar & Grill in Columbus, Ohio.

Legendary NWOBHM band SATAN have announced a series of live dates in the U.S. and Europe.
SATAN is a Heavy Metal band originating from Newcastle, England in 1980, known as part of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. Though generally obscure throughout their career, the band is considered influential for playing a form of proto-thrash metal that was fairly advanced by the standards of the early 1980s.
Their 1983 debut album, Court In The Act, is now widely acclaimed and regarded by many as the pinnacle of their career, during which the band’s line-up underwent a number of personnel changes and even changes in band name, releasing albums under the name of BLIND FURY and PARIAH, before folding in 1990. Guitarist Steve Ramsey and bassist Graeme English went on to found folk metal band SKYCLAD, while vocalist Brian Ross reformed his original band BLITZKRIEG.
SATAN remained inactive until re-assembling for a one-off gig at Germany’s Wacken Open Air in 2004, and finally reunited in their original Court In The Act line-up for 2011’s Keep It True festival. The band performed at several european festivals in 2011 and 2012 and have announced more festival shows and even a new album for 2013, to mark the 30th anniversary of Court In The Act‘s release. Bow to your knees, SATAN was back with its new album Life Sentence, released in April 2013 on Listenable Records.
Life Sentence was featured on many a “Best Of 2013” lists, and has been heralded as one of the best comeback album of the decade.

King Diamond has confirmed a main stage appearance at Gröna Lund in Stockholm, Sweden this summer. This will be the band’s only appearance in Sweden for 2014. Fans will see King Diamond’s over-the-top and critically-lauded stage show on Gröna Lund’s main stage on July 25th, 2014.
The ticket situation is: you cannot buy tickets in advance. Gröna Lund is Sweden’s oldest amusement park, with a historic outdoor stage, which has been performed on by the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Slayer, Kiss, ZZ Top and many, many more. Since this is in an amusement park, you simply pay for the entrance on the day of our show, and the concert itself is free.

Winnipeg Death Thrash outfit, Endless Chaos, have unleashed the third and final track ‘Condemned To The Pit’ from their three song debut EP ‘Rejected Atrocity’ to complete the full FREE download for its official release today, March 4th.
“‘Condemned To The Pit’, the final track on the EP, really captures where we are going as a band. It is a real heavy and intricate two-part banger with lyrical content about being put to death and being sent to hell. Who’s ready for Epica’s new album The Quantum Enigma? It’s coming this spring!
Marking the beginning of a new era of modernity, heaviness, and no compromises, Dutch symphonic sextet EPICA are set to release their sixth studio album, THE QUANTUM ENIGMA, this spring in North America.
“More than any of our previous albums, this album is a group effort,” states the band. “The only goal we had in mind: creating the album that could lift EPICA up to the next level. Every detail finds its way into a perfectly balanced mix and makes EPICA sound raw and overwhelming.”
Teaming up with producer Joost van den Broek (REVAMP, AFTER FOREVER), The Quantum Enigma was recorded at the Sandlane Recording Facilities in The Netherlands and mixed by Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, HATESPHERE).
Creating stunning artwork to accompany the ideas behind THE QUANTUM ENIGMA’s lyrics is longtime collaborator Stephan Heilemann, whose cover art is part of a bigger picture.
The Quantum Enigma will release on May 2nd (Europe), May 5th (UK) and May 13th (USA) through Nuclear Blast.

Swedish Death Metal horde Diabolical have been confirmed for Bloodstock Festival 2014!
The band recently confirmed a string of tours which sees Diabolical campaign across Europe over the coming months in support of their latest album ‘Neogenesis. The band are currently on tour in UK with Svart Crown and Ascaris and if that doesn’t wet the appetites of the British metal contingent a return on August 7th-10th to Catton Park, Derby sure-fire will.
Bloodstock 2014 is shaping up to be one of, if not the biggest, Bloodstock yet. Last year, just prior to Lamb Of God’s Saturday headline show, the first headline act for Bloodstock 2014 was announced as revered black metal innovators Emperor and it was confirmed that the festival would play host to the one and only 2014 UK Emperor performance. Widely respected as the most influential lead guitarist in Thrash Metal history, MARTY FRIEDMAN has confirmed the final track listing for “Inferno,” his first solo album of original material in four years, and his first recording in more than a decade that will be released worldwide simultaneously.
Due out in late May via Prosthetic Records (except in Japan, where the album will be released by Universal Music), “Inferno” – recorded primarily in Los Angeles with engineer Chris Rakestraw (Danzig, Children of Bodom) and mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Amon Amarth), features what FRIEDMAN recently told Guitar World is “the most intense writing and playing I can do.”
The album also includes notable guest appearances by several artists influenced by FRIEDMAN, including flamenco/metal acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, Children of Bodom front man Alexi Laiho, Skyharbor mastermind Keshav Dhar and Revocation guitar whiz David Davidson, as well as FRIEDMAN’s first songwriting collaboration with Jason Becker since the pair played together in Cacophony, the pioneering duo of guitar mayhem.
In addition, “Inferno” breaks all genre rules and creates new ones with an exhilarating and musically daring mash-up with Jørgen Munkeby of the acclaimed “blackjazz” act Shining, as well as two tracks featuring vocals by rock guru Danko Jones. “Steroidhead” – hailed by Rolling Stone as a “mix of searing solos and chugging prog-metal riffs” – was unveiled last month prior to the annual NAMM convention, where FRIEDMAN introduced a new Paul Reed Smith signature series guitar and performed live before capacity crowds at the PRS and Roland/Boss demonstration booths.
