Ghoul Infested Mausoleum”is the latest single from blackened death thrash project MORBIKON. The harrowing new hymn comes by way of the band’s Lost Within The Astral Crypts full-length set for release on November 21st via Tankcrimes.

The creative effort of guitarist/bassist Phil “Landphil” Hall (Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, Iron Reagan) with Mathias “Vreth” Lillmåns (Finntroll, …And Oceans) on vocals, MORBIKON is guided by the second wave of Scandinavian black metal and melodic death metal scenes of the ‘90s. The band released their debut full-length, Ov Mournful Twilight, in 2022 via Tankcrimes.

“This album feels like some of my darkest material yet,” says Hall of Lost Within The Astral Crypts. “I filled these songs to the brim with atmosphere and riffs. There are moments during the album that truly feel soaked in classic ‘90s underground blasphemy.”

Of today’s single, Hall elaborates, “‘Ghoul Infested Mausoleum’ takes the technicality up a notch and grinds out some super-fast shredding along with the dark melodic attack.”

Stream MORBIKON’s “Ghoul Infested Mausoleum” HERE.

MORBIKON’s Lost Within The Astral Crypts was written by Phil Hall with lyrics by Quotidius, vocals by Mathias Lillmåns and Quotidius, drums by Pierce Williams (Aenigmatum, ex-Skeletal Remains), solos by Blake Hibberd (Unburier), and additional instrumentation by Adam Gilliams (guitar, Cannabis Corpse) and Thomas Saltman (synths). The record was mixed by Rob Cauldwell, mastered by Alan Douches, and features cover art by Par Oloffson.

SKULLD: Italian Death Metal Punks Sign With Time To Kill Records

Posted in Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , on October 28, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

SKULLD have signed with Time To Kill Records for the release of their new album, Abyss Calls To Abyss. After a classic grind through the underground scene, the Italian band is ready to deliver the most complete and intense record of their artistic journey so far.

Their old-school Swedish death metal roots are reinforced by a strong crust punk/hardcore influence, giving the sound a raw, urgent edge. Yet, melodic deviations and dynamic shifts punctuate the album, highlighting the band’s growing maturity and stylistic range.

More details on the album and the first single will be revealed soon.

SKULLD formed in Romagna, Italy, in 2019 with the ambitious goal of blending old-school Swedish death metal with shamanic and esoteric overtones, all rooted in a strong feminist, anti-fascist, and anti-racist stance. Hailing from cities such as Cesena, Forlì, Bologna, Imola, and Milan, the members of the band have deep roots in the DIY punk and hardcore scene; a defining element of their artistic identity.

In 2020, they released their debut EP Reinventing Darkness, a DIY co-production with various Italian and international labels, distributed throughout the underground network. The lineup featured Pamela (vocals), Montiand Rappo (guitars), Ciufs (bass), and Teo (drums).

The songs, fast and razor-sharp, combine Scandinavian death metal with crust and stenchcore, evoking dark and pagan atmospheres. The EP was well received for its raw and original sound, as well as for its lyrical themes, most notably the track “Satanic Feminism”, which explicitly ties death metal to political and gender awareness.

On March 20th, 2024, the band released their first full-length album The Portal Is Open, via the French label World Eater Records. Recorded in Imola and mixed/mastered by Ulf Blomberg at Hobos Studio in Lund, Sweden, the album features eight tracks merging death and black metal with hardcore/crust influences and punk-infused vocals. The lyrics delve deeper into the concepts introduced on their debut, exploring pagan traditions, mythology, feminine archetypes, and esoteric and literary references.

In 2024, guitarist Moqi joined the band as a live replacement for Rappo, who had relocated to Berlin. He later became the sixth full-time member, contributing to the writing and recording of the band’s latest effort, Abyss Calls To Abyss.

Line-up:

Pamela – Vocals
Monti – Guitar
Rappo – Guitar
Moqi – Guitar
Ciufs – Bass
Teo – Drums

Twenty years ago, The 69 Eyes released what can be considered their biggest song to date: “Lost Boys.” This song was inspired by the 1987 vampire film classic: The Lost Boys. As stated by Cleopatra Records, “Lost Boys has become the band’s undisputed anthem, topping 20 million streams.” 💀

Now, “Lost Boys (20th Anniversary Version)” featuring Steve Stevens has been released via Cleopatra Records and is streaming on all the major music platforms. If you love the original, you’re gonna truly enjoy this redux with Steve Stevens’ guitar magic. PALE HORSE RITUAL Challenge Dogma With New Single “Holy Lies”

Posted in doom metal, Heavy Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 26, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Listen To “Holy Lies” Here: https://youtu.be/dITYjVs191g

Canadian heavy psych doomers PALE HORSE RITUAL return with “Holy Lies”, the latest single from their forthcoming album Diabolic Formation, arriving November 28 through Black Throne Productions. Bold and unflinching, the song pulls no punches as it confronts centuries of religious power structures and the human cost left in their wake.

“Holy Lies” lays bare the contradictions between immense spiritual wealth and real-world suffering. Its lyrics push against the hierarchy and fear tactics often used to enforce obedience, shining a harsh light on the ways control is cloaked in sanctity. At the heart of the track is a call for equity and liberation. It is an insistence that no one is born to kneel.

Driven by low-end groove and a wall of saturated tone, the band finds a razor-sharp balance between weight and momentum. The guitars churn through layers of fuzz, while the rhythm section carves a deliberate, relentless path forward. There’s a hypnotic pull to the song’s structure, anchored by a hook that lingers long after the final note.

Track Listing:

  1. Deflowered (5:58)
  2. Wickedness (5:03)
  3. Holy Lies (5:46)
  4. Save You (3:13)
  5. Bloody Demon (5:02)
  6. DED (6:50)
  7. A Beautiful End (6:55)

With Diabolic Formation on the horizon, the band continues to sharpen their vision, crafting a record that explores the darker corners of belief, power and the struggle to reclaim autonomy in a world built to obscure it. Pre-orders are available HERE

A panel of industry judges selected KILLOTINE to represent Canada at the prestigious International Wacken Battle, held during Wacken Open Air from July 30th to August 2nd in Wacken, Germany, where over 85,000 metal fans from around the globe gathered.

As the metal community regains its strength, Wacken Open Air 2026 will be the 35th edition of the festival and will be held from July 29th to August 1st. The 2026 event is nearly sold out with a line-up that includes Def Leppard, Lamb Of God, In Flames, Savatage, Powerwolf, Emperor, Sepultura, and Running Wild, among others. Details here.

Wacken Metal Battle Canada is part of an international competition that sees bands from across the country battle each other for the chance to win their spot among over 55 other countries’ champions, and represent Canada in an international battle of the bands at the world’s largest outdoor metal festival: Wacken Open Air. The battles have been hosted at the festival for over a decade and give independent bands the opportunity to showcase their talents to an international audience, along with the chance to win multiple prizes.

How it works:
Participating cities will host qualifying rounds plus a city final organized by a local city concert promoter, where one band will move forward to the Canadian national final. The winner of the national final will move on to perform at the Wacken Open Air 2026 and compete against the winners of other participating countries in a final global battle. All bands will be judged during battle rounds by respected local music industry representatives.

Finnish Stoner/Punk Rock Band Alkemia Released Their Debut EP

Promo picture by Heidi Tuulia | Photography @portraitsbyheidituulia

Finnish stoner/punk rock band Alkemia released their debut Alkemia EP via Inverse Records.

Alkemia’s debut EP recordings began in 2023 with drums, bass, and rhythm guitars tracked at the professional studio of Ammattiopisto Live in Espoo. The remaining guitar overdubs, solos, and vocals were recorded at the band’s rehearsal space in Helsinki.

The goal was to capture a live, groovy sound in the songs. Initial mixing difficulties were resolved by switching mixers, with the final mix completed by Ville Siikamäki. The EP aimed for a sound blending Eyehategod and Bad Brains, keeping the overall vibe raw and rock-driven without overly polished details.

The EP’s creation took time, as all good alcoholic, er, alchemical processes do. There was no rush, and the band worked around other commitments, as they noted in their press release.

Extreme Ensemble DER ROTE MILAN To Unveil New Album Verlust | “Aus der Finsternis” Music Video Out Now

Posted in Extreme Metal, extreme metal bands, Metal, metal albums, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , on October 25, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Enveloped in shadow, German sextet DER ROTE MILAN create intense, melodic, riff-driven sounds inspired by nature, historical wars in Central Europe, anti-religion and inner conflict. The band explore a strange sense of beauty that emerges from despair through the multi-faceted nature in which loss is experienced.

The new album, Verlust, follows the 2023 EP Schlund and sees DER ROTE MILAN develop further their atmospheric sound and lyrical depth. Verlust will be released on December 12th, 2025, via Unholy Conspiracy Deathwork

As the first single, and opening track to Verlust, “Aus der Finsternis” establishes the mood for the album. Through a sonic manifestation, DER ROTE MILAN focus on the initial shock, the first stage of loss in this track.

Watch the video now at Ghost Cult Magazine: https://ghostcultmag.com/exclusive-video-premiere-de-rote-milan-shares-a-new-single-and-music-video-for-aus-der-finsternis-new-album-coming-soon/

The powerful and heavy instrumentation reveals a sense of destruction, of desolation, as the reality of the loss hits. Through the melodic elements, there is fragility but also a very faint touch of hope hidden amongst the gloom.

Track Listing:

  1. Aus der Finsternis
  2. Où allez-vous
  3. Skepsis der Existenz
  4. Verlust
  5. Der letzte Rubin

Full Album Running Time: 22:54

Verlust is steeped in a deep sense of humanity – of indulging in the human condition, even those parts many may wish to avoid. DER ROTE MILAN encourage us to sit with the discomfort, with the pain and acknowledge that change is certain, but it is not hopeless.

Power metal visionaries INDUCTION continue their unstoppable rise with the release of the electrifying title track and video “Love Kills”, taken from their forthcoming studio album Love Kills!, due out February 6, 2026 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Feel the surge: “Love Kills” is a fierce anthem pulsing with raw emotion and unstoppable energy. The track captures both the pain and power of love’s downfall, celebrating the resilience that endures even after the flame seems to die. With soaring vocals, thunderous riffs, and cinematic emotion, “Love Kills” reminds us that even in the darkest moments, love’s light never truly fades.

Guitarist and Songwriter Tim Kanoa Hansen shares:

“Love Kills… but it’s never gonna die.’ This simple motto inspired most of Induction’s upcoming third album, which is why it became the title track. It’s deeply personal, full of raw emotion, but it also delivers a message of strength: life always goes on, and we are the masters of our own fate. No matter how dark the days, love will always return. As C. Joybell once wrote, ‘Love, I’m convinced, is found in the darkness. It’s the candle in the night.’”

Tim adds:
For me, this album carries a lot of raw and personal emotion. Life always moved forward, and even in the darkest times, love always found its way back. With LOVE KILLS! we explore the beauty and cruelty of love in a futuristic power metal context. It’s Induction at our biggest, boldest, and most fun yet.”

Following a storm of milestones, including a series of live dates supporting the legendary SAVATAGE, a frenetically acclaimed debut at Wacken Open Air, and the release of fan-favorite singles “Beyond Horizons” and “Dark Temptation,” INDUCTION are firing on all cylinders.

Crafted at Chameleon Studios and Boogie Park Studios in Hamburg, the album was produced by Tim Kanoa Hansen and mixed and mastered by Eike Freese in collaboration with the guitarist. Love Kills! marks the beginning of a new era for INDUCTION, defined by musical evolution, emotional depth, and a fearless drive to push the boundaries of modern power metal!

INGESTED – UK Death Metal Stalwarts Drop “Nefarious Tongues” Video/Single | Band To Kick Off North American Headlining Tour Next Month

Posted in Death Metal, death metal bands, Extreme Metal, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , on October 23, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Watch INGESTED’s video for “Nefarious Tongues” HERE.

UK death metal stalwarts, INGESTED, today drop their new stand-alone single: “Nefarious Tongues.”

Lyrically, the punishing track explores the decay of morality in a world consumed by vanity and self-interest. It reflects on the way society devours itself through ego and exploitation, as if we’re willingly feeding the very forces that will destroy us. It’s both a condemnation and a reminder of how easily we can lose sight of what truly matters.

Musically, it blends modern death metal riffing with hardcore-infused grooves, delivered at a measured mid-tempo that lets the riffs and drums breathe while giving space for the vocals to cut through with full impact. The structure stays tight and purposeful, building toward pointed, heavy-hitting moments that hit with absolute finality.

Watch INGESTED’s video for “Nefarious Tongues” HERE.

Stream/purchase the track at metalblade.com/ingested.

Alongside the release of “Nefarious Tongues,” INGESTED has launched a limited T-shirt designed around the single’s themes of moral decay and self-destruction. Featuring artwork by Rudi Gorgingsuicide, the piece captures the song’s bleak atmosphere; direct, unsettling, and grounded in the world it reflects.

It’s available now exclusively from the official INGESTED Indiemerchstore.

INGESTED’s latest single comes in advance of the band’s North American headlining tour. Evisceratour 2025 runs from November 6th in Fresno, California through December 6th in Pomona, California. Additional support will be provided by Distant, Ov Sulfur, Cell, and Crucifiction.

PISSING RAZORS – Return to the East Coast for the First Time Since 2003

Texas Groove Metal Veterans Announce 7-Date Tour with Special Guests Single Bullet Theory and select dates with Byzantine

El Paso’s legendary groove metal pioneers PISSING RAZORS are set to make their long-awaited return to the East Coast for the first time in over two decades. The upcoming seven-date run marks their first appearance in the region since 2004, when the band was touring in support of their Spitfire Records release, Evolution.

Now, in 2025, the band returns to the East in support of their acclaimed 2021 album Eulogy Death March, a tour that’s not only highly anticipated by fans but also historic in nature. This lineup is the closest to the original Pissing Razors roster the band has had in years and features:

Joe Rodriguez – Vocals
Eddy Garcia – Drums
Mat Lynch – Guitar
Geo Gomez – Bass

The East Coast leg will feature direct support from Single Bullet Theory, the long-running East Coast metal force fronted by Matt DiFabio. DiFabio has strong ties to Pissing Razors himself, having played guitar on the 2003 tour supporting Evolution. Now, over 20 years later, the two camps reunite on the same stages once again.

Joe Rodriguez shared his thoughts on the tour’s significance:

“The return to the East Coast after over two decades would mark a significant milestone, not just as a tour to the area with our friends in Single Bullet Theory but a reconnection with the fans in regions we haven’t formally visited in a long time. It symbolizes the longevity of the band and our dedication to the groove metal scene, keeping the genre alive in new and legacy markets.

For long-time fans on the East Coast, it would be a nostalgic and emotional event, potentially the first chance to see the band live in nearly a generation. For the band, it’s an opportunity to re-establish our presence, maybe test new songs (like tracks from our 2021 album Eulogy Death March), and grow our audience geography beyond our Texas-heavy touring footprint.”

Eddy Garcia added:

It’s with great pleasure that we get to hit the East Coast for a few dates! We haven’t been that way since 2003! Many thanks to Matt and Single Bullet Theory! We look forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones! East Coast fans have always treated us well, and we look forward to playing all of these shows! Cheers!

Formed in the mid-’90s, Pissing Razors gained a reputation for relentless touring and uncompromising live shows. From the late ’90s through the early 2000s, the band seemed to live on the road, clocking in tours alongside Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, W.A.S.P., and select U.S. and European dates with Anthrax and NYHC legends Pro-Pain. Their impact helped shape the sound of American groove metal, influencing a new generation of heavyweights including Lamb of God and Gojira.

The upcoming East Coast tour promises to be a celebration of Pissing Razors’ legacy, a testament to their longevity, and a heavy reminder of their ongoing power and relevance in today’s metal scene.

PIssing Razors / Single Bullet Theory/ Byzantine:

10/31 – Richmond, VA. – Another Round
11/01 – Bensalem, PA. – Broken Goblet (with Byzantine)
11/02 – Sabbatus, ME. – Mixers (with Byzantine and Ascend to Power)
11/03 – Westfield, MA. – Gabes 252 (with Byzantine)
11/04 – Providence, RI. – Alchemy (with Thy Will Be Done)

Indoor Enthusiast, the outstanding third record from TUESDAY THE SKY, the instrumental-driven project from guitarist Jim Matheos, arrives this Friday, October 24th via Metal Blade Records!

TUESDAY THE SKY has been described as a “beautifully weird solo project” by Sonic Perspectives, while Dead Rhetoric dubbed it a “kaleidoscope of atmospheric songs.” With eleven songs of pure Matheos-patented playing and passion, this year’s Indoor Enthusiast features Dutch drummer Dennis Leeflang on “The Nearest Exit May Be Behind You,” “Bend Toward Light,” and “Set Fire To The Stars.”

Matheos, famed for his work with progressive metal giants Fates Warning, alongside projects such as OSI and his collaboration with John Arch, Arch/Matheos, planted the seeds of TUESDAY THE SKY around 2016. The impetus came from a Fates Warning bonus track that Matheos felt didn’t fit for the band. He kept writing in that vein, and the result was TUESDAY THE SKY. The initial offering was 2017’s Drift, a record that drew influence from the likes of Brian Eno, Sigur Ros, Boards Of Canada, and Explosions In The Sky.

The second TUESDAY THE SKY album was 2021’s The Blurred Horizon, a mixture of ambient, electronica, post-rock, and more. The Blurred Horizon is perhaps best described as a beautiful record, having a natural grace to it. The closing track “Everything Is Free” is a cover of a Gillian Welch and David Rawlings song, and the only song with vocals, supplied by Tim Bowness.

Indoor Enthusiast is entirely instrumental, produced and mixed by Matheos, and mastered by Jacob Hansen

Celebrated Italian bassist, composer, and producer ALBERTO RIGONI, together with world-renowned virtuoso MICHAEL MANRING, proudly announce the addition of STUART HAMM to their upcoming instrumental progressive rock/ambient album Dystopia. With Hamm joining the lineup alongside drummer David Menoudakis, the project’s powerful ensemble is now almost complete. A famous drummer will be announced soon as special guest!

A pioneer of modern electric bass, Stuart Hamm has redefined the boundaries of the instrument through his visionary solo albums and collaborations with icons such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Frank Gambale. His signature blend of technical brilliance, melodic sensibility, and fearless experimentation adds a new dimension to Dystopia, enriching its sonic architecture with depth and intensity.

“When Alberto and Michael invited me to be part of Dystopia, I immediately felt the creative spark,” says Stuart Hamm. “The concept of three distinct bass voices blending and contrasting within the same musical vision is incredibly exciting. Each of us brings our own tone, feel, and emotion. It’s like a dialogue between different worlds of bass.”

The interplay among Rigoni, Manring, and Hamm highlights their unique sonic personalities, from ambient and melodic passages to aggressive and experimental textures. The album promises an immersive listening experience that showcases the expressive range of the instrument like never before.

CREATURES Release New Single & Video for “Beware The Creatures” OUT NOW! | New Album Creatures II Out November 14th, 2025!

Posted in Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, heavy metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , on October 21, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

The new single “Beware the Creatures” is taken from CREATURES‘ 2025 album Creatures II, out on High Roller Records!

Get your LP / CD at: https://www.hrrecords.de/CREATURES

Watch “Beware the Creatures” (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO) HERE

Creatures were originally formed in the summer of 2019 in the city of Curitiba. Like most places in Brazil, the scene there is dominated by extreme metal. However, there are some small “pockets of resistance” carrying the torch for more of a traditional heavy metal sound and Creatures (along with a group called Trovão) is one of the most talented of the lot.

After having issued a few singles, Bart Gabriel offered the band a deal to release their debut album from 2021 through his former label, Iron Oxide Records. The follow-up Creatures II is now due to be released on High Roller Records

Creatures II was recorded between September 2024 and March 2025 at Heavy Tron Studio, by Arthur Migotto (Hazy Hamlet). It was produced by Mateus Cantaleano and Migotto. Mateus Cantaleano wrote all the music and lyrics. The line-up on the recording was Marc Brito (vocals), Mateus Cantaleano (guitar), Ricke Nunes (bass), and Sidnei Dubiella (drums). There were also a few special guests, like Caio Vidal on keyboards and Arthur Migotto himself doing some additional vocals.

“Musically, I’d say the album is literally a mix of heavy metal and hard rock, with a darker, more evil vibe,” explains guitarist Mateus Cantaleano. “It carries what I believe is the essence of the band, dynamic songs that combine riffs with arpeggios, catchy choruses with darker minor melodies. Something like that, I think.”

Creatures were once described as a mixture of Dokken, Ratt and Judas Priest, a description Mateus Cantaleano can live with: “Absolutely, that’s true. Those bands, especially Dokken and Judas Priest, are very important in my life, and I carry their influence, even indirectly, in almost everything I do. Of course, I always aim for inspiration, not copying either of them exactly.”

Comparing Creatures I and Creatures II, the guitar player continues: “I’d say Creatures II is a bit heavier, darker, and a more mature album than its predecessor. While the first album was recorded just by me and Roberto, this time we had a full band involved. Both albums share the same essence – very dynamic songs, heavy tracks, power ballads, lots of vocal harmonies, catchy choruses, wild guitar solos, and so on. To me, ‘Beware The Creatures’ is the track that best sums up what I’m aiming for musically with Creatures.”

QUEMASANTOS – Teams Up With Guitarist Chris Irarrazábal of Chilean Thrash Legends NIMROD for “The Oneironaut”

L-R – Ignacio Orellana (Bass/Guitars/Drums) | Nelson Diaz (Vocals)

The international metal project Quemasantos returns with a haunting new visual experience: the official lyric video for “The Oneironaut”, a track inspired by the 19th-century writings of Allan Kardec on journeys of the soul. In this modern reinterpretation, the band transforms those spiritual ideas into a nightmarish, inter-dimensional voyage that unfolds within the realm of dreams. The track features guest guitarist Chris Irarrazábal of Chilean thrash metal band Nimrod.

Nelson Díaz comments:

“It’s a song inspired by the 19th-century writings of Allan Kardec on what he called ‘journeys of the soul.’ Today, we could interpret it as a nightmarish vision of an interdimensional journey experienced during sleep.”

Ignacio Orellana adds:

“As we’ve been releasing one track after another, the sound has been evolving in search of what we truly want it to be. As the musician behind the music, it’s been challenging to balance the instruments so that each one shines, because each represents a part of the creator’s soul. I feel that this one leans a little more toward the drums’ side… but the bass, the bass. We’re preparing a few more surprises. Stay tuned and be ready to be surprised.”

Formed in the relentless underground of Santiago, Chile, NIMROD stands as one of the country’s pioneering thrash metal forces. Blending speed, aggression, and precision, the band has forged a sound rooted in classic ’80s thrash while pushing forward with a distinctly South American intensity.

Known for their explosive live shows and powerful songwriting, NIMROD has shared stages with both national legends and international acts, earning a loyal following across Latin America. With a catalog that captures decades of fury and evolution, the band continues to deliver pure, uncompromising metal, a testament to Chile’s enduring heavy scene.

BLOOD VULTURE Debut Possession (1981) Inspired Video For “Burn For It” Featuring ALEXIS KRAUSS From Sleigh Bells

“BURN FOR IT” MUSIC VIDEO:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkKO2593Amc

BLOOD VULTURE, a vampiric goth rock band created by Jordan Olds (2 Minutes To Late Night), has revealed a surreal new video for his single “Burn For It” (Feat. Brian Fair), starring SLEIGH BELLS’ vocalist Alexis Krauss.

Directed by Olds, the video pays tribute to 1981’s cult favorite psychological horror film Possession, and painstakingly recreates demonic scenes from the movie.

Commenting on the videoOlds states

The video is a homage to one of my favorite movies, Possession (1981). Almost every shot in the video is a recreation of a scene from the movie paced to the music. For decades, it was so difficult to actually watch the movie. It was banned in the US when it originally came out and then it wasn’t allowed on streaming for a long time. Now thanks to Kino Lorber and Metrograph, there’s tons of screenings and streaming services (including the free ones from the library) showing the full version.”

“I consider it to be one of the great masterpieces in alternative cinema with two of the best on screen performances of all time and my favorite camera work ever. This whole idea was basically a Trojan horse to get people excited about that movie again. I also couldn’t be more grateful to my friend Alexis Krauss for trusting me with this idea and giving so much time and energy to this. It takes a special kind of artist and a special kind of talent to find a way to be fully compelling for 5 entire minutes by themselves and Alexis is that kind of special.”

The new video for “Burn For It” is the latest from the insidious mind of Olds, and featured on his project BLOOD VULTURE’s debut album, Die Close, which is out now via Pure Noise Records. The hypnotic short follows previously released videos for “Die Close,” “Grey Mourning” (feat. Jade Puget of AFI) and “A Dream About Starving To Death.”

Luring listeners in with a mesmerizing melding of gothic romanticism, lush metallic vibes and brutal reckoning, BLOOD VULTURE’s initial offering Die Close features 10 haunting tracks perfect for the season at hand.

About BLOOD VULTURE:

This is the story of a vampire known as “The Blood Vulture.” A once-insatiable bloodthirsty abomination of a creature, he is now a recluse long locked away as he grapples with what it means to live forever in a world of impermanence. His tales of regret and grief and terror will be told from hereon through songs that meld the emotive vocal stylings of grunge’s golden era with death metal, goth rock, and doom metal.

TENEBRO – Italian Death Metal Horror Masters Unveil New Single “Impiccata”

Posted in Death Metal, death metal bands, Metal, metal bands, metal music, Music, music news, news with tags , , , , , , , on October 20, 2025 by Metal Odyssey

Italian death metallers TENEBRO are set to unleash their new album Una Lama D’Argento on December 12th, 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

Continuing their morbid devotion to the putrid sounds of classic horror and old school death metal, the band promises another slab of grotesque heaviness. The record features a striking cover artwork created by Julian Ibanez, perfectly capturing the nightmarish essence and macabre storytelling that have become TENEBRO’s signature traits.

The first single “Impiccata” is available now:

YouTube: https://youtu.be/ojZep_CBW6M

Streaming: https://ffm.to/tenebro-impiccata

The band commented:

“The first single, ‘Impiccata’, strikes with relentless intensity: a fast, uncompromising track that mirrors the shocking imagery of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. Inspired by the infamous hanging scene, the song channels the sense of sudden, inescapable terror that erupts without warning. With its direct, no-frills approach, ‘Impiccata’ captures the essence of Tenebro’s sound: sharp, immediate, and merciless, like a blade cutting through silence”.

With their horrific and claustrophobic death metal, TENEBRO reaffirm themselves as one of the most uncompromising and distinctive acts in the Italian extreme underground, ready to push even further with this new work.

With “Una Lama D’Argento”TENEBRO take their most extreme and visionary step yet: an entire album conceived as a tribute to Dario Argento, the undisputed master of horror, giallo and thriller cinema.
Eleven tracks that are not just songs, but episodes of a single nightmare, a journey through the dark and obsessive atmospheres of the films that shaped cinema history: Deep Red (1975), Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980), Tenebre (1982), Phenomena (1985), and Opera (1987).

TENEBRO translate Argento’s universe into sound: riffs sharp as blades, guttural vocals emerging from the darkness, relentless drumming, and atmospheres shifting between pure violence and suffocating tension. Iconic scenes such as the mirror revealing the killer in Deep Red, the brutal mutilation in Tenebre, or the larva-filled bathtub finale in Phenomena are transformed into brutal, immersive sonic attacks, capturing the full horror and tension of the films.

Track-list:

1. Inferno
2. L’angelo Caduto Tra Le Luci Del Teatro
3. Impiccata
4. Sangue Sui Muri
5. Lo Specchio… Omicida.
6. Il Corpo Come Spartito
7. Piume Rosse
8. Appare ala Bambola, Poi La Lama
9. Larve Affamate
10. Nel Sonno Della Veggente
11. Jennifer

Preorders:

https://tenebrohorror.bandcamp.com/album/tenebro-una-lama-dargento

As with every album, TENEBRO continue to evolve, introducing new symphonies, styles, and melodies, while remaining distinctly separate from the wider underground scene. Their music explores new horizons without ever betraying the pulsating heart that has always defined their sound: extreme, theatrical, and viscerally horror-driven.

In Una Lama D’Argento, TENEBRO do not merely evoke Argento’s universe: they embody it, rewriting his obsessions in Giallo Metal. It is an album that cuts, tears, and leaves no room for respite.
Una Lama D’Argento is not just an album: it is a sonic nightmare, a visceral tribute to the cinema that taught us to love fear.
