NEAR DEATH CONDITION was spawned in Switzerland thirteen years ago and unleashed their Delusional Perception Of Reality demo in 2005. More a full-length than a mere demo, the punishing offering reaped instant praise among the Death Metal underground and earned NDC a place on Unique Leader’s reputable roster of extreme. Their first official long player, The Disembodied – In Spiritual Spheres, which Masterful Magazine commended for fusing “traditional death metal aesthetics with its more modern counterparts while retaining heaviness and dynamics throughout,” came to fruition in 2011 and grossed critical accolades from fans and media globally.

NDC has leveled stages alongside the likes of Origin, Hour Of Penance and Darkane, ravaged the third edition of the infamous Silence Festival and plan to infiltrate the masses throughout 2014. A journey into the kingdom of sickness and insanity awaits!

Evolving Towards Extinction will be released via Unique Leader Records on March 18th, 2014, with preorder opportunities and further info to be announced in the coming weeks.

A new musical force to be reckoned with is about to turn the rock world upside down with the release of their self-titled debut, KXM. KXM is comprised of dUg Pinnick of King’s X on vocals/bass, George Lynch of Lynch Mob/Dokken on guitars and Korn’s drum maestro, Ray Luzier, rounds out the powerhouse trio. The band takes its name from the combination of the member’s other projects: K from Korn, X from King’s X and M from Lynch Mob.

The self-titled debut of KXM is something truly unique and special. The songs are powerful, precise, and transcend beyond the boundaries of the imagination.  In today’s overpopulated music arena, true gems become harder and harder to find, but KXM’s unified vision rises above the normal and creates its own space. From the opening drum riff of “Stars” to the final chord on “Human Friction,” KXM is an album that is sure to resonate with fans from the band’s original projects, while garnering new ones as well. KXM formed in early 2013 when dUg, George and Ray spoke about trying to jam together. At the time it wasn’t clear what would come from those jams. U.S Death Metal Unit BLOODSOAKED have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for its fourth full-length album, Religious Apocalypse, to be released later this year on Comatose Music. You can donate to the cause at this location.

BLOODSOAKED main man Peter Hasselbrack explains the decision to launch the campaign:

“We took less money from our record label this time around so we could secure the digital rights to Bloodsoaked’s music and give back to the fans. With our new deal with Comatose Music we now have the rights to give away all Bloodsoaked’s music absolutely FREE via the Bloodsoaked web site. What does this mean to you…?  Well, six months after the new Bloodsoaked album is released we will be releasing every Bloodsoaked album FREE to everyone and anyone. We are doing this to give back to all the fans that have supported and continue to support Bloodsoaked.”

Cincinnati, Ohio – The Warriors of Metal, Inc. non-profit organization is very excited to welcome back the Madison, Wisc., power metallers who rocked the Warriors Of Metal Fest III & IV Open Air shows in 2010 and 2011, the LORDS OF THE TRIDENT!

Fest organizer Datis Alaee comments: “Not only did this band inject a lot of fun into our annual summer festival but the band’s most outgoing and ‘vocal’ personality, Ty Christian has been a source of incredible support for us, showing up each subsequent year in 2012 right in the middle of the storm we were being hit with and 2013 with more and more metalheads from Wisconsin to enjoy themselves during our metal weekend in Ohio.  Those friends have since become new festival fans who are becoming repeat attendees!  That kind of support is very rare and very much appreciated!!!”

Metal victory doesn’t await us, my fellow Metal brethren, the Metal victory is here and heard throughout this Bloodbound album! All the posers that aren’t still getting all this may now leave. Lead vocalist Patrik Johansson is a pure talent, with a splendid touch of influence from Metal legends as Kai Hansen, Andi Deris and Bruce Dickinson. There’s even an obvious vocal influence of the legendary Udo Dirkschneider that I hear on Monstermind. I honestly put Patrik Johansson on a high Metal pedestal; for his range and sporadic falsetto are plenty impressive, to me. Bloodbound easily commands me to really feel the outpouring of jubilant Metal that they play so incredibly well, on In The Name Of Metal.

In The Name Of Metal never lets up on its powerful Metal momentum, from beginning to end it’s a Metal thrill! My favorite song is Black Devil, however, this entire album is relentless with its mission of in-your-face Power Metal. Bloodbound are just a complete Metal band and they’ve easily demonstrated to me their out-and-out power! Support Bloodbound, buy this album and thank me in the Metal future. Nick on vocals comes across as the ever confident and eloquent Metal frontman, as he exhibits an attitude and grandiose vibe of pure might, with every note. HOMEWRECKER – Releases Video For New Demo Track

Northeastern Ohio’s HOMEWRECKER has just released a video for “Skin The Pig,” a brand new demo track the band recently recorded with their newly revamped lineup.

Having scaled their squad from a quintet with a vocalist down to a quartet with the drummer and guitarist dividing vocal duties, HOMEWRECKER recorded the track as an introduction to the new lineup, and to help fill the gap between their 2012-released Worms & Dirt LP and next official release later this year. As proven on their previous recordings, the band’s enraged hardcore is jacked-up on death and grindcore elements and delivered at decimating, tuned-down levels.

The overhauled band now unloads an even tighter display of relentless d-beat and blast-infused guttural torment which was present in their recent set at A389’s tenth anniversary Bash, and is now blatant in “Skin The Pig.” The music for the video was recorded by band cohort Thomas Tadsen in Cleveland in December, the video was shot by Todd Thompson.

HOMEWRECKER will enter Developing Nations Studio with Kevin Bernsten in mid-April to record their sophomore LP, now confirmed with the title Circle of Death­, for Summer release via A389, who also released Worms & Dirt. The band is also booking tours for the Spring and Summer months and will be pulling weekend warrior attacks in the interim, with participation in Berserker Fest in Ferndale, Michigan with Macabre, Wolf Eyes, Ringworm and more the first weekend of February, Fire Fest in Cleveland, Ohio on April 19th with Ringworm, Weekend Nachos and Death Before Dishonor and more confirmed.

US-based Prog Rock/Metal outfit CORSAIR has launched a campaign with Kickstarter.com to help fund the band’s upcoming European tour. HATRIOT – Releasing on February 21st, 2014, via Massacre Records, is the sophomore album from HATRIOT: Dawn Of The New Centurion. Bay Area Thrash legend, Steve “Zetro” Souza, has once again delivered an insanely solid and eye-popping vocal performance! All fans of HATRIOT and Thrash Metal should be psyched out of their skin, once they listen to these 9 songs of true, old school Thrash Metal. Steve has to be extremely damn proud of this follow-up to their kick-ass 2013 debut album: Heroes Of Origin.

The guitar duo, (led by) Kosta V with Miguel Esparza are freaking incredible to lose your brain cells to! Whoa! Both of these axe slingers play in true Bay Area Thrash Metal style, with speed, heaviness, melodic character and plenty of furious interludes. Solid as hell is HATRIOT and they bestow the talent you’d come to expect from Thrash icons such as Anthrax, Testament, Megadeth, Death Angel and Forbidden.

There’s NO filler on this album, just plenty of Thrash greatness. The gang vocals are prevalent throughout, with a Thrash spirited rhythm section of yesteryear. Yes, Steve “Zetro” Souza has proven himself as an ultimate Thrash Metal mentor and his 2 sons in HATRIOT, Cody (bass) and Nick (drums), must surely be grateful! If I must pick my favorite song from this gem, it’s the title track. Dawn Of The New Centurion is a complete Thrash Metal package, with every song a killer! This is an electrifying Thrash Metal album; one that bridges the glory years of the 80’s to our modern-day of Thrash Metal. Hell yes and… Metal be thy name. – Stone
