There currently is way too much conflict and suffering happening in the world today; our life on Earth is too short for such carnage and despair. War is not the answer and I cherish life, family, music and of course… Metal Buddies. Metal be thy name.

THE DEAD DAISIES formed around the nucleus of Australians Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix/Mink), the powerful musical collective is completed by a lineup that speaks volumes. They include Charley Drayton (The X-pensive Winos/The Cult), Richard Fortus (Guns ‘N’ Roses/Thin Lizzy), Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones) and Dizzy Reed (Guns ‘N’ Roses).

Marco Mendoza: “We came across The Dead Daises when we were touring Australia and what a great band they are. I was lucky enough to play with them on their Aus tour with Aerosmith and again on the Uproar Tour in the US. It’s a pleasure to have them out with us in the UK!”

Tampa Death Metal icons OBITUARY will bring their brutal wares to the stage this Fall on a short series of live assaults. The tour begins with a pair of back-to-back shows at Brooklyn, New York’s Saint Vitus Bar on October 9 and 10, before flattening nine more venues through October 20. Having been holed-up in their own Redneck Studios the last few weeks penning the follow-up to 2009’s punishing Darkest Day full-length (2009), the shows serve as a temporary writing break.

Elaborates drummer Donald Tardy: “We have been busting our asses in the studio, having a blast and writing new material. Twelve songs are done and ready to be recorded but we want a monster album for our fans so we are working on a few more to make this record huge! We will continue writing until October when we will take a break from the studio and new music and go destroy the Trois-Rivieres Metalfest with Hatebreed and crush the US.”

The mayhem started last night in Bay Shore, Long Island with White Widows Pact and more, then plowing a counterclockwise warpath through Connecticut, New York, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, North and South Carolina before closing down in Virginia, the last three dates of the tour alongside A389 labelmates Noisem. On Oct 21st, 2013 Motörhead will deliver their 21st studio album, an enormous and prophetic Aftershock. Recorded at NRG Studios in North Hollywood,it is a true leveler, a crushing confirmation of everything Motörhead stands for, marching from the dust storm to deliver 14 belting statements which see Motörhead in perhaps their best writing form for years.
