VADER – DEATH METAL LEGENDS RECORDING NEW ALBUM “TIBI ET IGNI”

Polish Death Metal legends VADER are currently working on the follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2011 album, “Welcome To The Morbid Reich”. The new album will be titled “TIBI ET IGNI” and is set to be released in spring 2014 via Nuclear Blast. Together with producers Wojtek and Slawek Wies³awski, the band has entered Hertz Studio in Bialystok (Poland).

VADER commented:
“The next chapter, a new bible for all those hungry for extreme massacre and dark challenges is called: TIBI ET IGNI “For You (and only You) and Fire” – so we can translate from latin this pretty symbolic title. Ten songs (+bonuses) are in plans to be created…. More details soon. Will we set anxiety in your minds? We film the recording process to show the whole thing in a while. Of course, we’ll keep you informed about each next step in recordings regularly. STAY ALERTED!!!!”

Cold as ice, angry as a horde of Viking warriors and determined like an army fighting for freedom of their homeland: THUNDERWAR! The band was born in 2013, when four young metal maniacs decided to join their forces to not only pay tribute to such Metal heroes as BATHORY, UNLEASHED, DISSECTION and AMON AMARTH, but to prove that Poland once again has something to say to the Metal world.

The band’s debut EP “THE BIRTH OF THUNDER” was mixed and produced by the Wieslawscy Bros from HERTZ STUDIO (BEHEMOTH, VADER, DECAPITATED). Their logo was designed by Christophe Szpajdel (EMPEROR, MOONSPELL, DESASTER) and the cover artwork of “The Birth of Thunder” EP was created by Mario Lopez.

Recorded in 2006 by the band and Dave Liles and co-produced with Brett Romnes (I Am The Avalanche), the epic EP features two movements weighing in at almost seventeen-minutes and is widely considered the band’s magnum opus.

Viking Funeral was originally issued on CD by HULL and on vinyl via Science of Silence Records (on ox blood vinyl and black swirl). The vinyl repressing comes via the band’s newly launched Iron Orchestra Works imprint with updated artwork. BARISHI – Vermont’s BARISHI have just released a self-titled Progressive Metal tour de force that belies conventional thought for a debut album. Heaviness, eclecticism, and inventive melody are just a few of the descriptors one could use to begin dissecting this dynamic package of passion and creativity. The saxophone heard on “Sky Burial” and “Holy Mountain” is but one of the pleasant surprises in an album full of them.

Barishi was recorded, mixed, and co-produced by the band and Brian Westbrook at PDP Recording, with mastering done by Nick Dragoni at M-Works Mastering Studio. This is one album you simply must experience.

BARISHI is making their mark in the New England Metal scene and beyond. Formed in 2010 as an instrumental three-piece know as Atlatl, they began writing songs influenced by fusion and progressive music. Their style quickly started getting heavier and darker while retaining some progressive influence, thus forging their own style of Heavy Psychedelic Metal. In 2012 they found a wayward vocalist wandering the streets of Keene New Hampshire. Bringing him into the fold they found that his sound melded excellently with theirs. Thus, Barishi was born!

Earth shattering grooves combined with savage vocals completed the sound that could only be born in the verdant mountains of Southern Vermont. With their debut self-titled album on the way, Barishi is truly a force to be reckoned with. Prepare yourself to be pummeled and thunderstruck with ecstatic Metal from the ancient hills of New England.
