We are excited to announce the release of “Into the Kingdom of Graves” by Vancouver’s infamous Tyrants Blood.
Featuring ex-Blasphemy guitarist Marco Banco and Infernal Majesty vocalist Brian Langley, Tyrants Blood have become a potent force in the underground metal scene.
Limited to only 500 copies, the album is now available to order from our Bandcamp page here:
“This is what extreme music should be and by drowning the listener in a world of devastating energy, Tyrants Blood proves their prowess within this crowded field.”- Violent Resonance
“Brutal, relentless, straight in my face, though still quite technical and over the top, it is quite hard to escape the thick and hateful atmosphere that drenches the record, a damned nice surprise!”- Voices From the Darkside
“Into the Kingdom of Graves is what death metal is about ladies and gentlemen (probably mostly gentlemen) and THIS is a band who are bringing it to a whole new level.”- Two Guys Metal Reviews
BONES – Chicago’s filthiest trio marches out of the sewers of hell with twelve freshly severed slabs of Death Metal sleaze! BONES is back with Sons of Sleaze, the follow-up to their 2011 self-titled release. Recorded with famed producer Sanford Parker (Lair of the Minotaur,Nachtmystium), Sons of Sleaze will be out November 18th on Planet Metal.
Check out album track “Maggots” below:
Sons of Sleaze delivers its unfair share of nasty surprises, incorporating violent blasts and low-tuned slime with a dirty rock-and-roll backbone that has never been more apparent, especially when it comes to Jon Necromancer’s undead belch! The impossibly heavy combination of Necromancer’s bass and Carcass Chris’s muscular guitar riffs is once again captured in all its devastating glory, and drummer Joe Warlord’s huge vocabulary of patterns and fills keeps the energy level in the red for the entire 37-minute beating that is Sons of Sleaze.
Held together by a cover that could only be called “a new low” for artist Putrid, this album is highly recommended for the rotten-hearted, ill-natured, and furious!

Praise for Bones’ self-titled debut (2011):
“..to me this is without any doubts one the coolest releases in the Crust / Death / Thrash genre for quite a long time!”– Voices From the Darkside
“..frenzied, ragged death metal dripping with the filth and swagger of punk — no quantized typewriter drums or guitars compressed into bland, congested slabs.”– Chicago Reader

“For almost 15 years people have traveled the globe, driven across continents and slept in airports and railway stations to make it to Obscene Extreme, and now Obscene Extreme is making the same effort to come to you once again!!!” states OEF organiser Curby.
“After a really insane OEF World Tour in 2013 with festivals in Mexico, Indonesia and Australia we can say, we will never give up and we are back to do it once again in 2014!!! With the OEF Club World Tour 2014 we are rolling into Japan, Australia and the USA like the United Nations of Grind.”

Fresh off a short run of dates supporting Ghost B.C., Athens, Ohio-based Blackened Metal quintet, SKELETONWITCH, has announced a hometown release party for their forthcoming new full-length,Serpents Unleashed. The show will take place at The Union (18 W. Union St., Athens) on October 23rd, the eve of the kickoff to their extensive North American fall tour with The Black Dahlia Murder. Tickets for the event are just $10.
The Black Dahlia tour will be swiftly followed by another lap around America in early 2014 alongside Amon Amarth and Enslaved. Unfortunately for fans in Orlando however, where the tour stops on January 27th, SKELETONWITCH will not be allowed to perform at the local House of Blues, as the group has joined the likes of Exodus, Machine Head and others deemed “unfit to be associated with” Disney, on whose property the venue is located.
Although SKELETONWITCH might be un-welcomed at the Magic Kingdom, a California couple has asked the band to make their dreams come true. During SKELETONWITCH’s performance in Fresno on November 15th, longtime fans Travis Bartlett and Lanae Forrest will get married on stage — making local venue Strummer’s their own happiest place on Earth. Says groom-to-be Bartlett, “Lanae and I are taken aback and beyond elated that SKELETONWITCH are willing to be a part of the most important day of our lives. There really aren’t words to show our appreciation for the band being with us as we begin our lives together.”
Commemorating the group’s 10-year anniversary, Serpents Unleashed – recorded earlier this year with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Isis, High on Fire), and featuring artwork by John Baizley (Baroness, Kylesa, Kvelertak) – will be unleashed in North America on October 29th, in Australia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland on October 25th and in the UK and the rest of Europe on October 28th. Serpents Unleashed is available for preorder at SKELETONWITCH.com in CD, LP, cassette, digital download and limited edition 7-inch collector’s box formats. In addition, you can now pre-order the album digitally at iTunes and BandCamp and receive an instant download of “I Am Of Death (Hell Has Arrived).”

VENGEANCE WITHIN started as a solo Metal project from (multi-instrumentalist) Sonny Luciano (guitars, bass, lyrics and drum programming). Recently, Jeff Robbins was recruited by Sonny Luciano to become a full-time lyricist and vocalist for all future albums. Currently, VENGEANCE WITHIN are having all their songs redone by a professional sound engineer.
These Metal warriors call Cleveland, Ohio their home and their songs are Blackened, Extreme and Melodic. Take a listen below to Oblivion from VENGEANCE WITHIN… and you shall forever know that VENGEANCEWITHIN is a rabid member of our Metal family, looking to spread their own brand of Metal chaos upon the masses! GOREGAST – Covered In Skin is a 2 song 7″ EP from Death Metal behemoths: GOREGAST. Releasing this week via FDA Rekotz, this EP from GOREGAST is worth it’s weight in torn-apart alien flesh that’s covered in gold. I’m not one to steer any Metal fanatic wrong; especially my Death Metal brethren. With a forthcoming album (GOREGAST’s fourth overall) due out in the Spring of 2014, Covered In Skin will keep fans of GOREGAST chomping at the bit all the more.
Both songs (Covered In Skin & Mindcreeper) are a reminder to me of how underground Death Metal is and always will be a dominant force; an extreme Metal force that cannot be restrained nor denied of its existence. With crunchy riffage, hellish vocals, insane drumming and eye-popping grooves, GOREGAST still manages to make both songs melodic. Death Metal nectar from the dark side is this EP.
This is a band and EP ALL Death Metal fans worldwide and in other unknown spatial dimensions MUST know about and buy into. For those already loyal to GOREGAST, there really is no need for my bloody persuasion. Metal be thy name.
Italian grind masters EXHUMER and Comatose Music have joined forces with Apoch’s Metal Review for the premier of a brand new track off the band’s forthcoming album, Degraded by Sepsis.
The track, entitled Vapours of Cadaveric Mucilage, has been posted for your neck-snapping enjoyment at this location.
Ruthless and calculating, Degraded by Sepsis marks the first recorded output from one of Italy’s sickest Death Metal exports since their 2008 full-length debut, Bloodcurdling Tool of Digestion. Album artwork for Degraded by Sepsis by the renowned Jon Zig.
Degraded by Sepsis is set for an October 15th release on Comatose Music. Pre-orders are now available at www.comatosemusic.com.

Comments guitarist Scott Hedrick of the New Year run, “We forged a friendship with Amon Amarth about five years ago when we first toured together and have had the chance to hang with Enslaved at European festivals. We’re fans of both bands, and all those guys rule. It takes a tour to another level when there’s that much camaraderie, and we can’t think of a better way to tour Serpents Unleashedthis Winter. Candlelight Records today confirms November 11th as the North American release date for Obsideo, the new album from Dutch metal extremists PESTILENCE. Produced by vocalist/guitarist Patrick Mameli, the album is the band’s inaugural recording for the label and first new material from the four-piece since 2011.
“We have gone beyond our human limits to achieve the highest form of brutal music,” reveals Mameli when discussing the album’s creation. “The musicianship is such high quality; it is really ten of the most demanding songs written in death metal.”
Together with long-time guitarist Patrick Uterwijk,Mameli, bassist George Maier and drummer Dave Haley deliver a blistering and genre-lifting effort. “I am chuffed to have Dave in the lineup,” confirmed Mameli earlier this year while discussing the band’s updated cast. “He is one of the best extreme drummers in the world and his talent bring PESTILENCE to new levels. George is a young and talented bass player that will turn some heads. Both are really down to earth and real easy-going guys. Patrick, of course, is my most respected and long-going friend and musician.”
Obsideo boasts Mameli and his innovative guitar work. Utilizing eight-string guitars for the album’s recording, the celebrated musician expands his already massive arsenal of riffs. “The eight string guitar opens a lot of doors,” notes Mameli. “It gives lots of new musical options and allows us to make the music sound more brutal than before. It also forces me to sing in a higher pitch because I don’t want my vocals in the way of the low-tuned guitar parts. My vocals sound more intense and manic than before.”
Formed in 1986,PESTILENCE took influence from early American and German thrash metal to cultivate its now signature death metal sound. Recording four albums before disbanding in 1994, the band helped to usher the rise in popularity for the genre. Fourteen years later the band reformed; releasing two albums and exciting fans with live performances around the globe. “Mameli and company chose to steer efforts down paths previously unexplored whilst maintaining their vintage essence,” noted Chronicles of Chaos on the band’s 2009 album, Resurrection Macabre (Mascot).
PESTILENCE plans to begin touring in support of Obsideo in the early months of 2014; North America to be included in their worldwide takeover. The band’s last stateside performance was as a featured artist on the second annual 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise that left Miami shores on January 23, 2012.
Obsideo Track-Listing:

2. Displaced
3. Aura Negative

Northern Virginia-based trioDRUGS OF FAITH have completed the final stages of their upcoming new EP, as they prepare it for release late this Autumn.
The first new recordings to emerge since their 2011 Corrodedalbum, DRUGS OF FAITH let loose with four brand new tracks on the freshly finished Architectural Failures EP. The band’s patented rocked-out grindcore approach here shows some brutally awesome dissonant tones and more expansive dimensions with a crushing metallic production courtesy of the sessions at Developing Nations with Kevin Bernsten (Full Of Hell, Inter Arma, Ilsa, Coke Bust) and final mastering by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed). Architectural Failures will see release in late November as a one-sided 12″ limited to 300 copies with a digital download via Malokul, the DIY label started by D.C. act Disciples of Christ.
Coming from co-founder Richard Johnson (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil), DRUGS OF FAITH has endured since 2003, with a plethora of releases out via Poland’s Selfmadegod Records amidst several demos and compilation spots including Relapse Records’ This Comp Kills Fascists Vol.2. And simply put, they fucking shred. Following recent live actions including this year’s MACROCK conference in Virginia followed by a spot on the Philadelphia date of this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour with Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death and Immolation, DRUGS OF FAITH will again take to the streets with updates to be announced in the weeks ahead.
On the thirteen-year anniversary of IMPALED’s The Dead Shall Dead Remain debut, the group will be releasing a re-recording entitled The Dead Still Dead Remain. Long tangled in legal limbo, the music from The Dead Shall Dead Remain has been unavailable on CD for over a decade. The re-recording dodges those legal hurdles and puts the music back in print.
The stakes were raised as IMPALED sought to best the production of the original. The Dead Still Dead Remain features recording and mixing by Vinnie Wojno, famous for his work with Testament. IMPALED and Wojno worked for three years to get the recording they wanted. “It simply sounds better, no matter how you slice it. And we surely do slice it!” says guitarist Jason Kocol.
IMPALED assures fans that the music on The Dead Still Dead Remain is faithful to the original. It features the return of vocalist Leon del Muerte, who says, “it was like the last thirteen years of backstabbing and spitefulness never happened!” Even the artwork, which the band insists has already been banned in 672 countries, harkens back to their first release but is even more revolting.
The shit will hit the fans when Willowtip Records releases The Dead Still Dead Remain on October 29. Preorder info will be available soon at THIS LOCATION.
EXTOL – With musical elements from Death/Extreme Metal to Progressive Metal, with numerous melodic and harmonious moments in-between, Norway’s EXTOL, have indeed, carved out their own exemplary existence, within the expansive world of Metal. The fifth and self-titled studio album from EXTOL was released this past June, in North America via Fallbrook, California’s Facedown Records.
A Gift Beyond Human Reach is an outstanding song featured on this latest EXTOL album! In fact, I dig this song so much that…
CARCASS – Surgical Steel, the band’s first studio release since their 1996 LP Swan song, was produced by Colin Richardson (NAPALM DEATH, BOLT THROWER, GOREFEST, CANNIBAL CORPSE, SINISTER, RODRIGO Y GABRIELA) and mixed/mastered by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, TESTAMENT).
“We went back to working with Ian Tilton, who is an iconic English photographer famous for working with THE STONE ROSES,” stated frontman Jeff Walker, regarding the cover artwork. “He actually did the front cover for Necroticism… as well. We’ve deliberately tried to evoke the feeling of that album and Heartwork.”
Joining guitarist Bill Steer and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker in the band’s current incarnation are new drummer Dan Wilding (ABORTED, TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED) and guitarist Ben Ash (PIG IRON, DESOLATION, LIQUEFIED SKELETON). Expect some guest vocals from original sticksman Ken Owen as well, when Surgical Steel is finally released this Fall.
