55Gore and StuhlGäng to lead an evening of absolute grind chaos at the official pre-show
Merry’s Sideshow to bring stunts and gore to Grand Central for free-entry afterparty
Tickets already nearing the 50% sold mark following last year’s sell-out
Manchester, UK; 14 January 2026: The organisers behind Manchester’s Goremageddon have unveiled full details for the 2026 pre-show and official afterparty, promising a full weekend of “absolute grind chaos.”
Ahead of the main festival at The Bread Shed on 21 March, the pre-show brings 55Gore and StuhlGäng to a limited-capacity venue, AATMA, on 20 March. The line-up is rounded out by GRUNK, Hideous Crawling Abomination, Shoplifterz, Megafart and LARSxULRICH. Due to the venue’s capacity, the organisers have issued a warning that tickets are already extremely limited.
The post-festival celebrations at Grand Central will feature live stunts from Merry’s Sideshow. In a shift from the musical assault, the afterparty will feature a “very special and intimate experience.” Attendees can expect stomach-churning live stunts, including The Human Blockhead, Wolf Trap and Mental Flossing.
The afterparty is free entry for all Goremageddon 2026 ticket holders and will conclude with a DJ spinning the most chaotic tracks for the “party animals” left standing.
Rancid Offal Promotions, the team behind Goremageddon, said: “We wanted to make sure the 2026 edition wasn’t just a day of music, but a full weekend of insanity. The pre-show is a total grindhouse, and bringing Merry’s Sideshow into the mix for the afterparty adds that extra layer of shock that the grind scene lives for. Tickets for the main event are already nearing 50% sold. We sold out last year, so don’t leave it too late to join the carnage.”
The main event on 21 March at The Bread Shed remains the weekend’s focal point, featuring a stacked international line-up led by Taiwanese gore overlords Fatuous Rump in their exclusive UK debut.
Trailblazing metal collective METAL ALLEGIANCE has returned with their brooding new single, “Black Horizon”. Their first release of original music since 2018, the song features roaring opening riffs from guitarist Alex Skolnick (TESTAMENT) and vocalist William DuVall’s (ALICE IN CHAINS) ominous howls, painting an apocalyptic scene.
Mark Menghi (KING ULTRAMEGA) on bass and Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER) on drums keep the dread looming low in the sky, ready to explode with ferocity at any moment. Systems fail, shadows fall, and the doomed cry for salvation in this desolate world. Gloomy, minimalistic verses bookend thunderous choruses, chronicling a desperate flight for survival.
“Who would have thought we’d be here 12 years later with new MA music? Very excited to have one of my favorite vocalists from one of my favorite bands on the first new MA music in 8+ years, which opens up a new era for MA. As the saying goes, you can’t kill what doesn’t die.” – Mark Menghi
“I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely honored to be asked to contribute to this song and I’m very happy with the result.” – William DuVall
“This song is a gift from the ghost of MA past. It’s salvaged from a stockpile of riffs we’d started long ago but never quite finished. Now, in combination with a first time voice for the band – the great William Duvall – we are pleased to announce a brand new track, forged from what once was, here to kick off a new era. Check it out!” – Alex Skolnick
“After having recording these drum tracks some time ago, I’m stoked that they finally get to see the light of day! Thanks to William for finishing it up for us and welcome to the MA family! \m/” – Mike Portnoy

We’re insanely proud to present the first single from our upcoming album. A clear step back to our classic sleaze sound. Full throttle. Dirty but big. Punky but heavy.
Do us a massive favor and pre-save “Satizfaction”. Let’s make this song huge together!
Time To Kill Records has signed MASTER’S ASHES for the release of the band’s debut full-length album, How The Mighty Have Fallen.
Formed by musicians with decades of experience across some of the most influential and uncompromising corners of heavy music, MASTER’S ASHES brings together a background that spans extreme metal, alternative and experimental sounds, resulting in a project shaped by vision, intent and hard-earned perspective. Rather than relying on past credentials, the band channels that collective history into a focused and confrontational statement, built on atmosphere, weight, and urgency.
MASTER’S ASHES is far more than a band – it’s a reckoning. Forged from the ranks of a few untouchable acts, this collective of battle-hardened musicians brings decades of innovation, chaos, and raw expression into a single, volatile entity. There is that known expression, when something is “more than the sum of its parts”.
We’re sure that even if this band was “just” the sum of their parts, Eric Forrest (Voivod), Afzaal Deen and Fred Waring (Crisis), Dan Kaufman (Destroy Judas, Dystopia, Mindrot), Jeff Golden (Six Feet Under, Crowbar), and Katy Crimson (The Convalescence), would already be pretty awesome. Individually, they are legendary. But together, they are unstoppable. A force that refuses to bow, bend, or behave.
Drawing from the atmospheric dread of early-90s alternative heavy music and the radical energy of classic crust, proto-industrial, and apocalyptic metal, MASTER’S ASHES channels the spirit of Amebix, Crisis, Voivod, and Neurosis while igniting something fiercely new. Their sound is a serrated blend of dystopian riffwork, textured samples, and uncompromising intensity. Music built for a world on fire.
True to their name, MASTER’S ASHES stands firmly in defiance: no gods, no masters, only resistance. Their debut full-length, How The Mighty Have Fallen, is nothing short of a rallying cry, a scorched-earth commentary on the current political climate and a ruthless slap in the face to anyone expecting business as usual. It’s a dark, atmospheric, and aggressive opening statement from a band unafraid to speak truth to power and tear down the false idols of a collapsing age.
MASTER’S ASHES stands as a testament to what happens when experience, conviction, and rebellion collide. This is not a nostalgia act. This is not a supergroup gimmick. This is the next wave of resistance: loud, unfiltered, and inevitable.
Further details on the album, along with the first single, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
“Tales From The Pusciverse” #1 cover featuring artwork by Andy Belanger
“TALES FROM THE PUSCIVERSE” #1 DEBUTS BELLENDIA BLACK
Jan. 12, 2026 — The Pusciverse – Puscifer expands its universe with the launch of the band’s first comic book series, “Tales From The Pusciverse.” Issue #1 centers on Bellendia Black, a character first seen in the band’s “Pendulum” video.
Written by Maynard James Keenan, the debut issue features artwork by Marlin Shoop (“Captain Action,” “G.I. Joe,” “Unprepped”) and Andy Belanger (“Kill Shakespeare,” “Southern Cross,” “Friday the 13th”), with lettering by Jack Morelli (“Afterlife with Archie,” “Peter Parker Annual,” Marvel Comics).
“I remember how excited I was as an elementary school kid when Wolverine was first introduced in one of the Hulk issues. Called neighborhood dibs immediately (long before cosplay was a named thing),” Keenan shares. “Seeing Bellendia Black in print brings back all of those joyful school kid memories.”
“Puscifer’s leap into comics with Maynard Keenan isn’t merch or novelty – it’s an extension of their long-running conversation with the absurd,” says Shoop. “The book hums with the same tension as the music: satire wrapped in menace, humor sharpened into philosophy. I’m glad I could be a part of that and bring it to their vision.”
The introductory issue presents a conversation between Keenan and Bellendia Black, serving as both an introduction to the character and a gateway to the larger series, which will continue with future installments spotlighting Fanny Grey and The Synth Whisperer. Additional details and release dates will be announced soon.
“Tales From The Pusciverse” is available exclusively via Puscifer.com.
Puscifer’s new album, Normal Isn’t, arrives Feb. 6 via Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG.

Like a black wind rising off peatlands long left to silence, Ireland’s COSCRADH unearths their second album, Carving The Causeway To The Otherworld, wrenching up the bog-roads of the dead through dread sorcery.
An invocation of deep-rooted heritage and ancient mysticism, the album resurrects the three-thousand-year-old oaken pathways raised by warring tribes under the cold eye of the druid, toward the realm beyond life, and conjuring these vanished labors with the memory of violence itself.
Channeling the druid as both astronomer and war-seer, COSCRADH invokes Mars as the god whose red light demands sacrifice, revealing Gaelic warriors hollowing themselves into vessels and letting the fury of Goac enter and devour them for battle. Guitars flare and burn like meteors knifing the horizon, unfurling riffs rusted with ancestral power.
The blistering percussive onslaught crashes like hooves on dead earth as the band’s savage ferocity erupts like a war-cry cast into the heavens, crowned in ruinous splendor. COSCRADH fully inhabits this domain between worlds, breathing into their work the fury and spiritual force of a people who carved truths into land, sky, and grave.

A communion of druidic science and blood, ritual aggression, and linguistic resurrection, Carving The Causeway To The Otherworld compels a celestial reckoning where fate itself is flung upon the altar. Like gods that ride the firmament, COSCRADH’s cold, cruel radiance falls upon all who hear it.
The record is a cosmic execution, binding together the bygone causeways, war gods, stone idols, and star-born forces that the druids sought to harness. A vision of the night sky as a living battlement of omens, for those who would hark to the old wrathful spirits.
Stream COSCRADH’s “Caesar’s Revelation (Hibernia L. VI V. XIV ad XVI et XXIV)” on YouTube HERE and Bandcamp HERE.
Carving The Causeway To The Otherworld was created in 2025 at Sun Studios, and Studio One Temple Bar, Átha Cliath, recorded and mixed by Shauny Cads at Last Light Recordings, and mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studios. The cover art was handled by Stefan Todorović of Khaos Diktator Design, the layout handled by Chimère Noire Design, and photography was handled by Dylan Ownes Photography. Additionally, guest Michał “The Fall” Stępień provided ambient samples on several tracks.
COSCRADH’s savage and mystical black death metal is prime listening for fans of Teitanblood, Angelcorpse, Immortal, Absu, Black Curse, Mayhem, Beherit, Katharsis, and Cultes Des Ghoules.
With the lead single from the album, “Caesar’s Revelation (Hibernia L. VI V. XIV ad XVI et XXIV),” the band declares, “No civilisation, no Roman decorum, they’re the emperors of nothing! Hibernia.”
20 Buck Spin’s first release of 2026, Carving The Causeway To The Otherworld will be released February 20th on LP, CD, MC, and digital formats.

RATS WILL FEAST will release their new EP, “An Evocation”, on April 3rd 2026 via Time To Kill Records. RATS WILL FEAST is an experimental hardcore outfit from Jyväskylä, Finland, active in its current form since 2018.
The Finnish hardcore unit continues to refine and expand their signature blend of extreme aggression, hallucinatory chaos and melodic depth. Following the destructive intensity of Hellhole, the new EP promises a more focused and defined expression of the band’s evolving sound, capturing both the brutality and emotional resonance that have become their hallmark.
The first single will be unleashed in the coming weeks, as RATS WILL FEAST prepares to deliver another potent statement to the international hardcore scene.
An Evocation celebrates RATS WILL FEAST‘s diverse and imaginative interpretation of modern metallic hardcore. The new EP is the band’s most concise and clear articulation of what the band wants to say, and what it’s aiming for with its sound. The album’s soundscape is dense, diverse, and exudes a wide palette of tones that have accompanied the band for 10 years.
The band explores a variety of expressions on the album, as the violence and volatility of the sound is balanced with an intensely melodic approach. While the album offers a wide spectrum, it remains focused on the band’s signature sound.
Lyrically,An Evocation is a portrait of a mindscape that strives to accept life as it is. Heavy metal bands often imagine various dystopias and fantasy worlds that they sing about. An Evocation thirsts for a safe haven in the turmoil of this world and society.
The lyrics seek to portray a person who moves between different levels of acceptance and resentment. It is a snapshot of a process that touches everyone’s life. Between the lines, the lyrics also reflect on the question of what makes you get up on stage again and again, and what makes writing and performing this kind of music important to yourself and others. Playing heavy music is a valve that lets painful and difficult things flow into some kind of beautiful, manageable form.

SCHATTENMANN usher in the new year with the release of “Endgegner”, the title track from their upcoming studio album. The song signals a decisive next step for the band and sets the tone for a new chapter in their musical journey.
With “Endgegner” [German for “Final Boss”], SCHATTENMANN present themselves sharper and more focused than ever. The track blends German-language metal with pronounced core elements, driven rhythms, and an unapologetic attitude. Crushing riffs, a powerful groove, and a commanding chorus turn the song into a statement piece that reflects both intensity and confidence.
As frontman Frank Herzig reveals: “This song was my ultimate final boss! Never before has a track driven me so crazy, challenged me so much, and demanded so much from me. In the entire history of Schattenmann, there hasn’t been a song that required so many versions and attempts. In the end, I am incredibly proud of it, especially because the path to the finished song was so rocky and because it offers so much both musically and lyrically. It grabs you immediately and doesn’t let go until the very end: hard, loud, emotional.”
Endgegner Track-List: 1. Endgegner 2. Besser als der Rest 3. Kamikaze 4. Einen Scheiß muss ich 5. Wir sind das Ende der Welt 6. Kein Kommando 7. Schna-na-naps 8. Unmensch 9. Echo 10. Auf die Zunge (Schattenmann Version) 11. Alter Ego 12. Gelegenheit macht Liebe

About SCHATTENMANN: Founded in 2016, Nuremberg-based band SCHATTENMANN have entered the metal world by storm! Pinnacling with their top 10 album Día de muertos in 2023, the quartet – singer Frank Herzig, guitarist Jan Shook, bass player Luke Shook & drummer Rorschach paved their way with impactful songwriting and also with energizing live shows. A thrilling combination which has resonated with a wide range of (mostly) European metalheads so far. Sheer metal and continuous touring are the keys of why SCHATTENMANN have become one of the leading German ambassadors in the hard ‘n’ heavy universe within less than 10 years.
With this second release, the band continues its artistic journey into the darkest and most unsettling depths of industrial metal, asserting a powerful, recognizable sound identity charged with emotional tension. My Chaos is both a personal and musical manifesto, a raw exploration of the inner turmoil that resides within the human condition.
The magnetic voice of Bia Redchaos leads the listener through a spiral of fragility and strength, control and chaos, carried by a sharp, dark, and visceral sound. Every sonic passage is sculpted to convey urgency, conflict, but also awareness and determination.
Drawing influence from acts like 3Teeth, Author & Punisher, and Infected Rain, My Inner Chaos shape a distinct musical language where the intensity of riffs and the hardness of the sound blend with deep sensitivity and a cohesive artistic vision.
EXHUMED will hit the blood-soaked road with their new album, Red Asphalt, set for release on February 20th via Relapse Records.
The masters of gore metal rev up and prepare for one of 2026’s most frenetic, unhinged slabs of sonic obliteration with a new video for lead single, “Unsafe At Any Speed.”
“We’re very stoked to be back in your earholes with Red Asphalt. Our recent albums have taken you with us through the graveyards and operating theaters of 19th century Scotland, the horror aisles of the video rental stores of our youths, and through the band’s history itself,” notes EXHUMEDmastermindMatt Harvey. “This time around, we’re inviting you to accompany us to a place that we spend a disproportionate amount of our lives, someplace familiar yet far more dangerous than it feels, a place that can take you to the hospital or the grave in more ways than you can imagine: the American roadway.”
Watch EXHUMED’s “Unsafe At Any Speed” video HERE. Stream/presave the track HERE.
Preorder Red Asphalt on LP/CD/CS/streaming via Relapse.com HERE.
The latest wrong turn from the driving force of gore metal, EXHUMED, Red Asphalt crashes the band’s hook-laden, high-speed deathgrind into whiplash-inducing grooves and dangerous musical curves. Red Asphalt is a love letter to the road – horrific accidents, vehicular homicide, defective cars, gore-filled instructional videos, zombified biker gangs, and more.
True to the band’s spirit, Red Asphalt drags the listener through a whirlwind of riffy madness. Tracks like the aptly titled “Unsafe At Any Speed,” the horrifying “Shovelhead,” and “The Iron Graveyard” ooze with sleaze and groove while retaining all of the high-octane, full-throttle, white-knuckle madness you’ve come to demand from EXHUMED. Take the album for a spin and get your kicks on Route 666!

Since its inception in 2009 (with a brief hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic), West Metal Entertainment and Armstrong MetalFest have championed hundreds of local bands while welcoming renowned international acts to the quiet town of Armstrong, British Columbia.
Armstrong MetalFest has hosted legendary headliners like Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire, Nekrogoblikon, Origin, Warbringer, Fallujah, Striker, and Beyond Creation, alongside rising stars from across North America. And when the final riff fades, the festival vanishes without a trace, leaving the landscape as untouched as it was before.
West Metal Entertainment, a non-profit society, not only produces Armstrong MetalFest annually but also supports the regional music scene by organizing performances at various venues, including all-ages shows, to inspire musical passion in both youth and adults.
Finnish blackened death metal band Karelian Warcry have worked with their third album for years and finally it sees the light of day this spring. The first bite from the album, a single “Mielen rutto” (The plague of mind) is now out.
Karelian Warcry was founded in Kouvola, Finland, in 2002. In its early stages, KW’s music leaned more distinctly towards Black Metal. Nowadays it’s influenced by other subgenres of metal as well as other types of music.
The lyrics explore themes related to war, violence and the darker sides of humanity. Each member brings their own musical roots, personal ambitions, and thematic passions into the mix, resulting in unique and recognizable sound. Wistful and haunting melodies, crushing grooves, and relentlessly driving rhythms blend with violent storytelling and poetic expression, hallmarks of Karelian Warcry’s musical identity.
Mielen rutto
Music and lyrics by Jussi Kousa, Johannes Järvinen, Matti Mikkonen, Anttipekka Heiskanen
In 2014, the band went on hiatus following the passing of vocalist-guitarist Matti Mikkonen. Although the members have scattered from their hometown of Kouvola, they have continued creating music together, both remotely and in their rehearsal chamber.
One could say Karelian Warcry never ceased to exist. And now, a bit over a decade later, they have finally completed the upcoming album, “Veripellot” — their most crushing and cohesive work to date.

Birthed in the wet grounds and grey skies of the Pacific Northwest, OLD MOON aims to bring a unique new band to tell the tales of life’s sorrows.
Depression, grief, loss of self and death are the keys that stitch these heart-aching lyrics together. Accompanied to feed the image, a beautiful orchestra fills the air, meeting a breath of guitar melodies entangling melodic death and post black metal together in solidarity. Binding a tense and resonating sound that strikes the mind and embraces the heart, this is OLD MOON.
Today, the band launches the second single and video from their forthcoming album. Listen to “A Rest To My Name” on all streaming/download platforms or watch the lyric video HERE: https://youtu.be/Rb99B9_IHhw?si=5oBIPSJoMXYMCix1
Darker, doomier and overall more ominous the track highlights the depth and maturity of the band’s composition and vision as a nice contrast to the more hostile and straightforward first single, “Obsidian.”
“A Rest To My Name’ is a song with two meanings. For years I’ve wanted to write something around the concept of the ‘three deaths,” explains Michael Priest. “After this song was written it managed to just fit. More so with the ‘final death,’ the last time someone’s name is spoken. ‘A Rest to My Name’ is derived more from the prospective of the person that is already gone and embarks through a journey of never wanting to be forgotten to acceptance; leading to a conclusion that says ‘forget my name and let me rest.”
“A Rest To My Name” and “Obsidian” both come from the group’s forthcoming full-length debut, ‘Home To Nowhere’ out May 8thon CD, limited-edition (300) smoke colored vinyl and digital. Pre-Order now at www.m-theoryaudio.com/store or https://oldmoonmusic.bandcamp.com
The Portland-based outfit, founded by Michael Priest (Gone In April, Idolatrous, ex-Boudica), self-released a 3-song EP in 2024. That EP left an impression on M-Theory Audio label founder Marco Barbieri who recognized the vision and potential of OLD MOON, keeping tabs as the group built and solidified itself with a full lineup, live shows and the eventual recording of a full album that secured a release with the label.

On time with their monthly rendezvous with fans since the first single release, here comes another video from Babylon: DIRKSCHNEIDER & THE OLD GANG have unveiled the new visual for “Propaganda“, one of the most high-energy tracks from their latest album, released on October 3rd, 2025 through Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). While the song has already made its mark on the album, the video now adds the visual dimension to its uncompromising power.
“Propaganda” is a rousing song in typical double bass drum style that barely gives you time to breathe. After an aggressive guitar intro and a sublime guitar riff, the highlights follow in rapid succession: Udo Dirkschneider and Peter Baltes shine with their polyphonic choir type vocals which alternate with two-part guitar licks, while the chorus screams the entire media-critical message of the lyrics out into the world.
Manuela “Ella” Bibert supports all this with her solo vocal interludes as well as with a harsh and intensely played Hammond organ. as if that weren’t enough, a guitar solo follows a hymn type vocal part, which culminates in a harmony battle with the organ. The seventies and eighties send their regards!

DARSOMBRAPresents: Transmission – A Celebration For Ann Everton is a two-day festival event set to take place at Baltimore’s Ottobar on February 28th and March 1st.
The gathering was created to honor the life and art of DARSOMBRA’s Ann Everton, who tragically passed away in a vehicle accident in early October when the band was beginning their latest tour. Everton left an indelible impression on everyone who met her. Everton’s husband and founding DARSOMBRA member Brian Daniloski worked directly with the staff at the Ottobar and several artists to organize this special event, which sees almost thirty acts – all of whom are friends of DARSOMBRA – uniting to perform in Everton’s memory.
Preceded by a gathering for family and friends, DARSOMBRA Presents: Transmission – A Celebration For Ann Everton, will feature two full days of performances on both the upstairs and downstairs stages at the Ottobar. A large contingent of the acts are friends located across the Baltimore area, with some of the highlights including Acoustic War On Women, Curse Consumer Culture, Moth Broth, 50’ ♀ & The Worms, Quattracenta, Holy Fingers, Celebration, and many others. Approximately a third of the bill includes bands from beyond the local scene, including Cultic and Stinking Lizaveta from Pennsylvania, Ala Muerte and Gridfailure from New York, and more.
With the news of the festival, DARSOMBRA also unveils a new video for the track “Mellow Knees,” the song found on the band’s sprawling 2xLP Dumesday Book opus, on which the band was still touring. The video is one of the final pieces of visual art Ann Everton had completed at the time of her passing and captures a wide array of nature footage and more she filmed over various tours on the album over the past few years.
Daniloski reveals, “This video was completed in 2024. It is the ending sequence of what was supposed to be the Dumesday Book video album. Ann wanted to create a video for every song on the 75-minute album and have them all connect its pandemic-tymes storyline, from when we were all told to shelter in place in Spring 2020, to its conclusion about a year or so later, which, for DARSOMBRA and this video, meant being able to leave our home to go back out on the road and tour again. She had completed videos for over half of the album, including this one, before her passing in October 2025.”
Tune in and watch DARSOMBRA’s “Mellow Knees” video alongside many other videos from the album and more on the band’s YouTube channel RIGHT HERE.
While the exact future of DARSOMBRA remains uncertain, the band has a sizable surplus of unreleased material, some of which will be released in conjunction with the festival. Watch for further developments to be announced.
