Twenty years ago, The 69 Eyes released what can be considered their biggest song to date: “Lost Boys.” This song was inspired by the 1987 vampire film classic: The Lost Boys. As stated by Cleopatra Records, “Lost Boys has become the band’s undisputed anthem, topping 20 million streams.” 💀
Now, “Lost Boys (20th Anniversary Version)” featuring Steve Stevens has been released via Cleopatra Records and is streaming on all the major music platforms. If you love the original, you’re gonna truly enjoy this redux with Steve Stevens’ guitar magic. I immediately put this new version of “Lost Boys” into my current song rotation and a couple of other playlists as well. It’s such a solid song for Halloween and beyond, from this legendary dark and spooky band! Happy Spooky Season! 🎃 – Stone
“Lost Boys (20th Anniversary Version)” was produced by Jyrki 69 and mixed by Cameron Webb. 👻
The original version of “Lost Boys” is on The 69 Eyes’ 2004 studio album: Devils. 👹
After delivering albums from Ron Keel, Cold Sweat, The Fifth, and Crashing Wayward, RFK Media has branched out into the movie business, releasing the Mantaray Pictures feature film Beginning Of The End in time for Halloween and the 2025 holiday season.
The DVD edition is available to order now at http://RFKmediashop.com and streaming online on demand at http://patreon.com/ronkeel (premiering October 31st). The movie stars rocker Ron Keel, Playboy model Kaitlyn Jaynne, actress Melody Portnoy (daughter of Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy), and features a cameo by Mark “The Animal” Mendoza (ex-Twisted Sister).
Beginning Of The End made its theatrical premiere in July at the Edmonds Theatre in Washington. This movie is a collaboration between several independent filmmakers including award winning writer/director Terry R. Wickham (“Double Vision,” “Devil’s Five”), Jack Marziliano, and Zach Maldonado. It weaves together four short films rooted around the theme of Artificial Intelligence making people kill each other on the same night (in the same world) in almost linear time in different ways.
“Making the movie was a great experience,” Ron Keel comments. “I portray Ray, the next-door neighbor, an ordinary guy thrust into a very extraordinary situation. Not to give too much away, but there is some screaming involved, and I’ve had had a lot of practice acting like that!”
In addition to the film and the aforementioned music releases, RFK Media has new albums from Bad Marriage and Generation Landslide scheduled for 2026. There’s also a KEELWORLD comic book and other multi-media projects on the horizon.
Above: Nosferatu (1922) silent film figure of Count Orlok I obtained during this past Summer.
Nosferatu was touched upon in Bram Stokers’ 1897 novel Dracula. Referring to the more common label of an evil, blood sucking and living dead entity known as a vampire, Nosferatu is also the title of the silent film from 1922 and its inevitable recent remake from 2024.
Above: image of Count Orlok from Nosferatu (1922).
If my memory is correct, I first watched the 1922 silent film Nosferatu when I was in the 7th grade, going back to 1978/1979. I remember sneaking into the living room very late at night, while my parents and sister were asleep, just to watch this iconic silent film on the local community access channel, via the television. Needless to say, I had the shit scared out of me that night and loved it!
Above: Count Orlok shadow image from Nosferatu (1922).
Since I was a kid, I’ve been a fan of all the classic horror films and especially the Universal Monsters franchise. Fast forward to this past Summer of 2025 and I acquired this creepy and yet stunning action figure of Count Orlok from the Nosferatu silent film. By way of a straight up trade, (equaling to twenty U.S. dollars), I was grinning to own this sinister figure that has evoked my memory in such a fun and spooky way. Metal be thy name. – Stone
Bonus Fact: Max Schreck was a German actor who portrayed Count Orlok in the 1922 silent film Nosferatu.
The Circle Music have signed the electrifying Swedish horrorpunk band Left Hand Black. Hailing from Gothenburg, this quartet, consisting of veterans of the local music scene, will release their third full-length album, Left Hand Black 3: Death Can’t Keep Us Apart, in September.
Formed in the spring of 2019 on an island just outside Gothenburg, Left Hand Black brings together the formidable talents of Hans Hagström and Jonathan Jansson (formerly of The Dead Next Door) with Johan Hansson and Anton Zachrisson (from Overdrive Solution). Their sound is a potent brew of old-school melodic horror punk and rock, drawing inspiration from iconic bands such as Misfits, Ramones and Bad Religion.
Johan Hansson of Left Hand Black said: “I have followed Maria and The Circle Music since the first release, and with her passion for the music and what she does for the bands, this is a dream come true. We are super excited to be part of the TCM family.”
Left Hand Black have carved a reputation with their previous releases: their self-titled debut in 2020 via Wolverine Records and their 2022 follow-up, Lower Than Satan through Sunny Bastard Records/Sick Taste Records. Now, with Left Hand Black 3: Death Can’t Keep Us Apart they aim to solidify their position as purveyors of infectious horror-infused punk anthems.
As the band have declared: “We prove that we can write hits and are an insanely good live band that takes no prisoners and celebrates a hellish party with you in the graveyard.”

Iconic Finnish hard rock monster squad LORDI live up to their name and present a frightening music video for their latest single “Hellizabeth” today. The track can also be found on LORDI’s upcoming 19th studio albumLimited Deadition, which will be released on March 21, 2025 via RPM.
Starring a ghost hunting duo searching for the obviously invisible main protagonist of the song, the new video guides fans into an abandoned, outlying house. The two explorers keep finding little hits of her haunting majesty – with a little surprise testing every watcher’s sturdiness – but never come to any proper result to prove her existence – to just end up being caught by Hellizabeth napping in the end. A cruel deed continuing her still unsolved mystery! Are YOU able to survive LORDI’s witching hour…?

L-R: Kone (guitars), Hiisi (bass), Mr Lordi (vocals), Mana (drums), Hella (keyboard)
Mr Lordi explains: “Hellizabeth is another typical LORDI song, both lyrically and musically. It’s styled in the vein of a horror film storyboard about a woman’s ghost house haunting experience. Musically, I think the main WOW moment is the weirdly progressive beginning of the song. It stems from childhood memories of trying to learn to play an instrument. It’s actually just the vocal melody of the verse being played in the style of a nine year-old, with the whole band playing the same thing in unison and nothing in between. That’s how at least my brain worked with music as a kid, before I realized ‘Oh, the vocal melody is different and the stuff in the background is supposed to give it harmony and chorus!”
Pre-orderLimited Deadition in your preferred format [digipak-CD, coloured vinyl, digital] or pre-save the album on your favourite digital streaming provider (DSP): https://lordi.rpm.link/limiteddeaditionPR
Known for their theatrical style and unique blend of 80s-inspired rock and heavy metal, LORDI’s latest creation is a nostalgic celebration of retro 80s toys, infused with a fresh and powerful energy. Building on the success of their 2023 albumScreem Writers Guild,Limited Deadition ventures into heavier riffs and faster tempos, creating a soundscape that is both familiar and invigorating.
Fresh off a massively successful North American headlining tour, KING DIAMOND offers up a brand new single, “Spider Lilly.”
“Spider Lilly” is the first single and video taken from KING DIAMOND’s forthcoming new Horror Trilogy, of which part one is titled Saint Lucifer’s Hospital 1920. A first-time mixing collaboration with Arthur Rizk, who also mastered “Spider Lilly,” has produced an incredibly powerful sound picture, as clear and dynamic as a full moon on a star filled black night. The music and lyrics are written by KING DIAMOND.
The lineup is still the same with King Diamond handling lead and backing vocals plus playing the Hammond Organ, Andy La Rocque and Mike Wead on guitars, Pontus Egberg on the bass, and Matt Thompson on drums. There is also a special guest appearance by Danish female vocalist Myrkur with some amazing additional backing vocals.
Part of the new “Spider Lilly” video was filmed at the very haunted Pennhurst Asylum outside of Philadelphia on a travel day during the band’s recent North American tour, two days before Halloween. It was only King himself and actress Jodi Cachia who could participate on that specific day, together with producer David Brodsky, Allison Woest, and their killer crew.
Watch KING DIAMOND’s video for “Spider Lilly,” directed by My Good Eye Visuals, HERE.
“What a dark but great experience,” King says, “Hopefully that was not the last video we will be able to film there.”
There are already several tales waiting to be told about all that has happened before, during, and after the birth of the song “Spider Lilly”…
About KING DIAMOND:
KING DIAMOND is quite possibly the most recognizable and prolific personality ever in heavy metal. Revered by icons as big as Metallica and Pantera and inspiring newer upstarts globally, KING DIAMOND, the man and the band, have left an indelible mark on the history, and now again, the future of heavy metal.
In August of 2008, KING DIAMOND joined Metallica on stage at Ozzfest in Dallas to perform the Mercyful Fate medley made famous from the Garage, Inc. album. Additionally, KING DIAMOND was featured alongside Motӧrhead’s Lemmy Kilmister as a playable character in Guitar Hero: Metallica in 2009.
By 2012, KING DIAMOND was prepared to return to the stage for a select number of shows. The band’s triumphant return to the stage were the highlights of both the Hellfest and Sweden Rock festivals in France and Sweden. Fans at these festivals were treated to the largest and most involved stage production in the band’s storied history. Horror concepts from multiple albums were used in the décor; fans can rest assured that this show will only get larger and more impressive at future performances.
KING DIAMOND continued to hit the stage from 2013 to 2018 including performances at Rock Hard Festival (DE), Copenhell (DK), Graspop (BE), Metal Days (SI), Bloodstock Open Air (UK), Loudpark (JP), Wacken Open Air (DE), a 2014 North American tour with Jess And The Ancient Ones, Fun Fun Fun Fest (US), toured as a part of the 2015 Mayhem Festival in the Summer (US), a Fall 2015 North American tour with Exodus as special guests, Sweden Rock fest (SE), Hellfest (FR),and Psycho Las Vegas (US).
In 2019, after the release of KING DIAMOND’s first new single in twelve years, “Masquerade Of Madness,” the band hit the road with a series of live shows in Europe including stops at Summer Breeze festival (DE), Graspop (BE), Hellfest (FR), Rock Fest (ES), and with Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats and Idle Hands as special guests for nineteen dates across North America.
KING DIAMOND’s thirty+ year musical career is one of the most storied in the history of heavy metal, but the tale is not yet over. The most recent release, 2007′s Grammy nominated album Give Me Your Soul…Please, stands as one of the most critically acclaimed albums in an already iconic discography. Future albums will feature entirely new horror stories, concepts, haunting orchestrations, and the band’s signature brand of heavy metal from the mind of KING DIAMOND and the talented group of musicians: guitarists Andy La Rocque and Mike Wead, bassist Pontus Egberg, and drummer Matt Thompson. Many more albums, tours, and ventures lay ahead.
Hailing from Syracuse, NY, veteran hardcore/metal band FREYA‘s drummer Ethan Henry is unleashing his inner horror fan by inviting fans to view his haunting independent movie “Severance Mountain”, which he directed, wrote, produced, edited, and composed music for with his team at Ignorant Tourist Productions.
In the movie’s premise, deep in the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York, Sarah (Nicole Morgan) and Toby (Cade Guillory) plan to reconnect on a remote camping trip following the tragic loss of Toby’s girlfriend. It doesn’t take long for Sarah to realize something is off and her long-awaited getaway turns into a vacation from hell. Meanwhile, Local police Sergeant “Sarge” (Kim Scharff Snyder) discovers a potential threat to all who enter the parks and Desperately pleads to her superiors to take action and warn the public of this “threat”. Meanwhile, With each step she takes deeper into the forest, Sarah finds herself in the ultimate struggle to survive against the threats of SEVERANCE MOUNTAIN.
“SEVERANCE MOUNTAIN came to life shortly after the pandemic. With all the restrictions and difficulties trying to make a film during that time, we wanted to get back at it but needed to keep our budget small and keep our cast and crew down to a minimum. Thanks to John Sovi II at Sovs Media for sparking the idea, I developed the concept for Severance Mountain with our restrictions in mind. I ended up rewriting the working script with Melissa Godin Hunt and started planning to film our independent, ultra-low-budget horror film. Even though our budget was small and it seemed near impossible to make at times, our determination to complete the film and make something we thought would be gross, familiar, and entertaining finally came to be. If you like indie horror, gore, and practical effects, then SEVERANCE MOUNTAIN is for you.”
SEVERANCE MOUNTAIN was released on September 13, 2024, and is available for streaming and download on Amazon, iTunes, Apple TV, Google Play, YouTube, and ROKU.

April 28, 2023 sees horror punk act DARKER DAYS release their much-awaited, first full-length album “The Burying Point”on Fiend Force Records, licensed by Massacre Records!
Hailing from the Halloween capitol Salem, Massachusetts, the band poured everything they had into this record and pulled inspiration from some of their favorite bands: AFI, The Misfits or Blitzkid. Lyrically, DARKER DAYS touched on things like their favorite horror movies as well as real-life hardships. Needless to say, that the dark history of their hometown Salem and all of New England – with Nathaniel Hawthorne in Salem, H.P. Lovecraft in Providence and Stephen King in Bangor – along with the bleak countryside had a big influence on them as well.
Today, DARKER DAYS are premiering a first single taken of their upcoming debut, feat. TB Monstrosity of BLITZKID! T.B. Monstrosity is the co-singer and songwriter of Horror Punk legendes Blitzkid, probably the most popular band in the genre besides the forefathers The Misfits. Blitzkid and Darker Days have been friends for years, so this collaboration has naturally grown out of their shared history. TB’s unique voice gives the song its very own atmosphere and harmonizes impressively with the melancholy of the track and Darker Days singer Mason’s vocals. Both the classic horror theme and the musical realization, as well as the guest appearance of the Blitzkid singer make “1818” an instant hit in the horror punk community.
Watch the new DARKER DAYS video for “1818”, now premiering HERE
“1818 is an ode to the work of one of our favorite authors Mary Shelly- being told from the perspective of ‘Frankenstein’s monster’ and the feelings he has of wanting to find happiness even though the world views him as a monster“, the band comments.
DARKER DAYS are: Mason Eaton – Vocals Nick Sullivan – Guitars Travis Hunter – Guitars Ron Bailey – Bass Randy Mason – Drums
Their upcoming album “The Burying Point” was produced by Chris Curran and Kyle Blamy, and was mixed and mastered by Chris Curran. Slated for a release on April 28, 2023, the album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!

Above, is the spooky room that is part of the basement of my house. Aw, hell, the entire basement is eerie. I’ve made it one of my new year resolutions to finally clean out this abomination. Lord have mercy.
You see, I’ve never even stepped foot into this room; nor has any family member. My wife and I bought this 1902 house six years ago and this room and it’s god forsaken contents we’ve unfortunately inherited from what looks to be many previous owners. From what I gather, there appears to be just very old junk, dirt and stones within.
Below is a photo of the door closed to this hell pit. I promise to update how my progress develops from engaging and cleaning out the spooky room.
Time To Kill Records officially welcomes Italy’s CADAVERIA to the label’s roster, announcing their highly anticipated sixth album, “Emptiness”, for May release.
Whether you call them horror, gothic or dark metal, one thing is certain: in their 20+ years career Cadaveria have become one of the most iconic bands of the Italian metal scene.
The “Emptiness” cover art, created by Roberto Toderico (Facebook / Instagram), has been revealed. Time To Kill Records will release the album on double LP, CD, cassette and digital formats on May 27th 2022. Watch for more album details, singles, preorders, and more to post in the weeks ahead.
CADAVERIA is the creative alter-ego of Italian-based metal singer Raffaella Rivarolo, better known by her stage name Cadaveria, one of the first women to hit the extreme metal scene in the early Nineties.
CADAVERIA band was founded in 2001 by Cadaveria herself and drummer Marçelo Santos, to freely express themselves as musicians and extreme artists.
Since CADAVERIA’s debut album The Shadows’ Madame (2002) the band’s style is labeled Horror Metal. Their personal sound is imbued with gloomy and sinister atmospheres and it mixes Black Metal with classical Heavy Metal, Death Metal and Gothic influences. The lyrics, scheming, hermetic and introspective, mirror the dark soul and the vexed personality of the singer Cadaveria.
2021 is a meaningful one for CADAVERIA band, as the band celebrate its 20 years of activity. A career that boasts five full length albums, some reissues, an EP (with Necrodeath), a retrospective double DVD and a huge support from fans of Central America, where CADAVERIA have made a series of headlining tours, between 2007 and 2015.
From 2012 on, with the release of the most recent albums Horror Metal and Silence, CADAVERIA have been engaged in many live dates that have seen them protagonists of different stages in Germany, France, Belgium, Romania, as well as numerous Italian shows as headliner and in support of Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy and many more.
CADAVERIAhave recently released a series of new singles, that mark the band’s return to the scene after a long pause, during which the singer had to be treated for cancer.
Yes, GWAR were magnificent live! GWAR invaded Bogart’s in Cincinnati Ohio, back on November 11th. I took the live photos you see on this post with my iPhone; thus I’m admittedly no professional photographer (hahaha).
I bought quite a bunch at the merch table; one item is this GWAR stamped metal pin. Whoa!
There was a HUGE pit and everyone attending this show were lit in one manner or another. It was Metal euphoria and I drank plenty of PBR while there. I went to this GWAR show with my buddy Troy; it was his birthday as well. Good Metal times! At this concert, GWAR didn’t spray down the fans with any goo or monster secretions; not from my vantage point anyways.
I’m going to post more concert photos of GWAR with more merch I bought, in the coming days. I did buy a GWAR keychain that I gave to a coworker of mine. One last thought: it was raining like hell on our drive down to Cincinnati that night. Troy drove his car and (as usual) was a superhero behind the wheel; getting us there fast and safe.
If you’ve never seen GWAR live, I strongly encourage you to do so. If you’re not interested in GWAR, then drink a gallon of prune juice and listen to your ABBA records. Metal be thy name! – Stone
Legendary film actor Sid Haig passed away on September 21, 2019, at the age of 80. Sad news, indeed. I’m no expert on the entire film career of Sid Haig; however, his role as Captain Spaulding featured in Rob Zombie‘s House Of 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects has left a terrifying impression on me which will last forever.
For me, Captain Spaulding epitomizes the ultimate demonic character I’ve ever witnessed on film. That says a ton and again it’s my opinion. His serial killer role came across to me as being tooreal; where so many other villains of film are either too outlandish or cartoonish. I’ve yet to see the newest addition to Rob Zombie’s trilogy of terror: 3 From Hell. Without a doubt, I will see this new film of bloody gore! The Rob Zombie films aside, I am eager to look back on other Sid Haig films which I have missed over the years. May Sid Haig rest in peace or continue his soul journey, wherever he may be. Metal be thy name. – Stone
“The Scabby Ghouls” blends party-loving punk and the macabre seamlessly for a truly fun and unique experience. Described by fans as “Scooby-Doo Punk” or “Haunted House Punk”, this band celebrates all things creepy, spooky and bizarre year-round. Whether harkening back to the Elizabeth Short murder in the ‘50s, venting in frustration at the inability to drive, or punning on everyone’s favorite Elm Street murderer, the lyrics are as gruesome as they are cheerful when delivered by the Hazards, who also handle guitar work adeptly. This album showcases the band’s ability to blend various punk sub-genres with their own unique sound for an altogether novel experience.
To celebrate the release, The Scabby Ghouls will be playing alongside other local punk and hardcore bands including Stronghold, Hand-Painted Police Car, and Dummy Head Torpedo at the Lookout Lounge on Friday March 15th 2019 at 8 P.M. (Doors at 7 P.M.). $7.00 cover, all-ages show.
