CRIMINAL – Originating from Santiago Chile, Metal legends CRIMINAL have delivered their new music video: The Ghost We Summoned. Taken from their 7th studio album AKELARRE, (released on August 19, 2011 via Massacre Records), this video makes for a Metal perfect way to usher in the Halloween season. The (Death) Thrash Metal of CRIMINAL + their new and scary as all hell music video = Stone’s Metal Pick Of The Day!
THIS IS WHAT METAL IS ALL ABOUT AND THEY’RE CALLED CRIMINAL.
TURN UP THE THRASH OF CRIMINAL BELOW & VIEW SOME CREEPY STUFF TOO! METAL BE THY NAME!
LOVE.MIGHT.KILL – 2 Big 2 Fail, the sophomore album from LOVE.MIGHT.KILL, will be released this October 19th, via Massacre Records. The first music video for this album is XTC. Melodic Metal is played and celebrated in a very big way by LOVE.MIGHT.KILL, with big guitars, a big rhythm section, big keys and melodic vocals.
LOVE.MIGHT.KILL taps into a Melodic Metal atmosphere of sound; one that surrounds my senses and pumps up my Metal adrenaline! A power-packed song is XTC and it’s… Stone’s METAL Pick Of The Day! Metal be thy name.
You can hear it all for yourself by listening to and watching XTC below!
SORROWS PATH – The Rough Path Of Nihilism, is the debut album from Doom Metal juggernaut Sorrows Path; which was released back in late 2011 via Rock It UpRecords. Sorrows Path originates from Athens, Greece and are currently in the studio (Fragile Studios) recording their sophomore album.
The Rough Path Of Nihilism has received worldwide critical praise. The track Empty Eyes and Blackened Hearts shall give you every reason as to why the Metal praise keeps pouring in for Sorrows Path and their Doom debut. Melodic and billowing with a Classic Metal atmosphere; the end result from Empty Eyes and Blackened Hearts is a totally contagious vibe, feel, sound and aura of Doom from Sorrows Path.
Doom Metal this grand needs to be heard. Doom Metal this grand needs to be recommended to my Metal brethren. A Doom Metal song and video this grand needs to be declared: Stone’s METAL pick of the day! Metal be thy name.
* Stone Says:Torqueis one of the very best albums I’ve listened to from 2012; that includes both Hard Rock and Metal genres. The key to 69 Chambers is their ability to weave so many styles together; to form a unified sound that ROCKS like there is no tomorrow! Metal be thy name.
Metal Injection, in cooperation with Scion A/V, unleashes ORANGE GOBLIN’s mammoth “Acid Trial” video. The track comes off the band’s A Eulogy For The Damned full-length released via Candlelight Records earlier this year. “Acid Trial” was directed by Tom J. Cronin offers up four-and-a-half minutes of psychedelic live footage, sharp visuals, hot ladies and general ass kickery.
A Eulogy For The Damned is ORANGE GOBLIN’s seventh studio album and first under the Candlelight Records banner. The offering continues to reap praise for its pure, sonic awesomeness from fans and critics nationally:
Popdose called it “…pretty damn fantastic. Rockin’, riff-tastic and possibly the best record from start to finish that they’ve released yet.” Blistering crowned it “…a total pure-bred metal album,” adding that, “there’s not a trace of fluff or even a sideways idea to be found, which makes its execution all the more impressive,” while Decibel proclaimed: “Long-haired limeys, maximum riffage and turbo doom. Biker rock. From England. And it’s pretty awesome.” Metal Underground agreed: “With a sound that splits the difference between Sabbath and Motörhead, ORANGE GOBLIN serves up a potent dose of ’70s-style metal on A Eulogy For The Damned. Gloomy doom and punk power have seldom sounded so good together,”while About.com added: “Orange Goblin’s A Eulogy For The Damned… is a lesson for the lesser ones. This is how to make a solid heavy metal album. It’s how the Chimera roars when it wants everyone to hear.”
69 CHAMBERS – The soothingly Rockin’ and harmonic vocals of Nina Vetterli-Treml combine with the extreme vocals of Chrigel Glanzmann (of Eluveitie) in Cause And Effect. This combination of opposite ends of vocals proves to be a sensational and enduring song in my Metal world! Cause And Effect exemplifies excellence in the union of melodic and extreme; that these two opposites can truly co-exist in music… in Metal.
Having 69 Chambers being my “Metal Pick Of The Day” on Metal Odyssey is becoming quite commonplace, it seems. That’s what happens when a band pushes the creative envelope and kicks the shit out of the status quo of Heavy Music, like 69 Chambers has done so brilliantly with their new album Torque.
Take a look and loud listen below to Cause And Effect! Coupled with memorable lyrics, the entire structure of this song is so perfect. This is what Heavy Music in 2012 sounds like… and I’m on board for the ride with 69 Chambers. Metal be thy name.
*Torque was released on April 27th, 2012, via Massacre Records. This is a cutting edge record label that defines excellence in signing musical talent.
DISINTEGRATE – There is some kick-to-the-teeth Melodic Death Metal coming from the north of Holland and DISINTEGRATE is bringing it on! Signed to Massacre Records, the forthcoming album from DISINTEGRATE, Parasites of a shifting future, will be released on July 27th, 2012.
Take a look and listen below to the NEW and official music video for Shatter Them. Let the blazing Melodic Death Metal of DISINTEGRATE kick-start your Metal adrenaline for the weekend and beyond! This Dutch Metal pack means Metal business… so crank it up… and… Metal be thy name!
ZOMBIE INC. – From Austria comes ZOMBIE INC. with their Death Metal carnage of sound. The debut album from this fast rising Death Metal troupe, A Dreadful Decease, was released in North America on February 14th, 2012, via Massacre Records. The new music video from ZOMBIE INC., Challenge Of The Undead, is both a must see and hear! For all you faint-at-heart out there… beware of the Zombies!
ZOMBIE INC. delivers some intense Death Metal havoc, with Challenge Of The Undead being only 1 of 10 deathly intense songs from A Dreadful Decease. This debut from ZOMBIE INC. never takes a breather from its totality of extreme heaviness, it’s like a Death Metal wrecking ball coming straight at you, with no escape in sight. Metal be thy name.
Take a look and listen below and find out for yourself… that ZOMBIE INC. is a Death Metal band to keep your eyes and ears on in 2012 and beyond! ZOMBIE INC. and Challenge Of The Undead is Stone’s Metal Pick Of The Day. Stone has Metal advised you… now the rest is up to you to protect yourself from any flesh eating Zombies.

Today Noisecreep premieres behind-the-scenes footage of ORNAGE GOBLIN’s “Red Tide Rising” video, the opening track off the band’s forthcoming A Eulogy For The Damned full-length, set for North American release on February 14, 2012. The video clip is loosely based on H.P. Lovecraft stories and was shot in a series of dilapidated buildings around the UK.
Elaborated vocalist Ben Ward of the video: “We made the terrible decision to make the video for ‘Red Tide Rising’ the day after the London Christmas show so it meant we all had to be up bright and early, with very severe hangovers and head down to the New Forest. Luckily it was a bright, sunny day so everyone was in good spirits and the production crew went to work setting up at the location, which was some sort of abandoned army barracks in the middle of nowhere! It could have doubled as the location for Hostel 4!
In the meantime, the band was dragged halfway across Dorset to do a photo shoot whilst being attacked by rampaging horses! When we returned, thankful to be alive, we were ready to go and the recording process was very pleasant and quite a lot of fun! We already knew that the footage of us would be mixed with some animation that we’d acquired the use of so we weren’t required to do anything too ambitious, just repeatedly go over the track imagining we were playing it to 100,000 people at Wembley stadium! Fuelled by tea and biscuits we got the job done and the results look great!”
A Eulogy For The Damned is ORANGE GOBLIN’s seventh studio album and first for Candlelight Records. The ten-track offering was recorded at The Animal Farm studio in South London, UK, produced and engineered by Jamie Dodd and mastered by two-time Grammy-nominated Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson at Tube Mastering.
