Formed in 2011 by multi-instrumentalist Tas Danazoglou (vocals, drums, bass) and Stamos K (guitars), SATAN’S WRATH deal in a style of heavy metal music which harkens to the times when the Death, Black and Thrash genres were all considered one in the same, and only leather, spikes and bullets were real!

The band’s debut release, Galloping Blasphemy, contains nine tracks of unholy terror and is to be released on September 25th in North America, and September 21/24th in Europe.

BANE – Releases Promo Video For “The Truth Unleashed”

The Acausal Fire will be released by Abyss Records in September.

INFERION – Opens The Vault and Unleashes “Aborted By The Sun”

You may already know of INFERION’s The Desolate, the Black Metal whirlwind from Mr. Everything Nick Reyes. But in 2003 Reyes’ recorded an EP of blast-beaten, aggressive Melodic Death Metal called Aborted by the Sun that was recorded under the name Farewell My Angel. The original plan to release the EP was halted after the hard drive with the original mixes/master was damaged in a fire. A recent discovery of those original files led Iraq War veteran Reyes to re-record much of the EP when time permitted during Army Special Forces and Selection Training at Fort Bragg, GA. The EP has now been released under the INFERION banner.

The Story Of “Aborted By The Sun” As Told By Nick Reyes:

Aborted by the Sun was originally recorded in 2003 under the band name Farewell my Angel. At the time INFERION had put out the album Firewar that was getting some attention, and since this release was more Death Metal, I was going to release it next, but I was never able to do so because the original mixes and masters were damaged on a hard drive that caught fire. Last year, I was going through my storage unit looking for Army gear to pack for SFAS and I came upon some old CDs and DVDs in the same tough box and among them was a DVD simply titled “ABTSMBU.” I put it in the computer and found all the original mixes and masters for the album.

I re-recorded the bass, drums, and some vocals while I was trying out for the Special Forces, so this album is about determination, and the aggressive pursuit of goals. Since this album was semi structured, I just had to redo it in the way that I had envisioned it in my head during the selection course. So I based it around the guitars that were already there and tracked everything as soon as I got home a month later.

WINDFAERER – EP From Iberian Black Metal Storytellers Streaming At Stereokiller

Solar, the brand new EP from Blackened Metalsmiths WINDFAERER, is now available. Far from simply a “tide-you-over” release between albums, the self-released EP bears an immense 35 minutes of material through six epic tales, and the best material to be released yet from this talented and original New Jersey-based outfit. Elements of contemporary Black Metal go head-on into Folk Metal territory, injecting copious amounts of violin and folk songwriting into an epic, battlestrewn environment.

This week Stereokiller, who stated in a killer 4.95/5 review of Solar “…as long as a few albums of this caliber come out every few years, I will be satisfied…”, are hosting a stream of the entire EP now RIGHT HERE.

Translating to “one who travels with the wind,” as in a vessel at sea, WINDFAERER began as a means of self-expression for guitarist/bassist/vocalist Michael Gonçalves, inspired by his Hispanic/Iberian heritage and fueled by his passion for Extreme Music. With WINDFAERER he focused his energies on creating a melodic, blasting and emotional entity and eventually recruited like-minded musicians in violinist Benjamin Karas and drummer JP Andrade.

The self-released follow-up to the band’s critically-acclaimed Tribus debutwas recorded with Bobby Torres at Frightbox Recording in Clifton, New Jersey and offers up seven tracks of sadistic beauty laden with elements of Black and Melodic Death Metal while exuding a folkloric edge.

THE FORSAKEN – Swedish Death Unit’s Fourth Album Nears North American Release

Landskrona, Sweden-based THE FORSAKEN are preparing to drop their fourth full-length assault Beyond Redemption in North America.

Beyond Redemption surges with forty minutes of the band’s modern black/thrash-infused death metal culminating here into some of the most devastating sequences from THE FORSAKEN to date. The album was recorded by the band themselves, and the final product mixed and mastered at the renowned Fascination Street Studios (Bloodbath, Opeth, Amon Amarth, Soilwork).

THE FORSAKEN formed in 1997, initially under the moniker of Septic Breed. Following several demos, lineup changes and the name change, the band signed with Century Media for the release of their 2001 debut album Manifest Of Hate, their 2002 follow-up Arts Of Desolation and 2003’s Traces Of The Past. The band parted ways with the label in 2009, and following another personnel shift, began the construction of their now pending fourth album Beyond Redemption, through new label home Masssacre Records.

French Metal Virtuosos HYPNO5E has recently announced that they will be touring the US in September supporting Arsonists Get All The Girls and Exotic Animal Petting Zoo.  The tour, dubbed the Zombies Ate My Neighbors Tour, is being sponsored by BlankTV, Hails And Horns Magazine, got-djent.com, and Obsessed Artist.  The tour will kick off on Fri, Sept 7 in Santa Cruz, CA @ The Catalyst. KOSHER METAL’S ‘KOSHER KONCERT SERIES’ – Door Prizes Revealed!

Having risen from the grave in 2009 following the release of their debut, Midnight Stench, ZOMBIEFICATION wasted no time in concocting a venomous brew that makes up Reaper’s Consecration. Shot on location in the Mojave Desert and The Empty Bottle in Chicago, the video for “Billions of Eyes” is the visual realization of Beak’s bombastic Metal. “Scrambling to take cover in the caves of the barren desert, there is nowhere to hide from the billions of eyes that loom over the earth,” explains Chris Eichenseer, drummer for the post-metal outfit and the director/producer for the clip.  “The hunt is on.  From the heavenly bodies that turn in their grandeur above to the single-minded pursuit of the damned below, the only refuge is fear.” Live footage was shot by Chris Rejano.

MASACHIST – Reveal Initial Details On Forthcoming Album; New Track Posted

Polish Death Metal squad MASACHIST have just completed work on their second full-length, Scorned. The anticipated follow-up to the band’s 2009-released Death March Fury was recorded in mid-2011 at Monroe Sound Studio, with final production touches taken care by guitarist Aro. Featuring nine brutal and intricate songs, Scorned will be released worldwide by Selfmadegod Records on September 3rd, 2012.

MASACHIST‘s leader Thrufel comments on the album: “I’m really glad that after a long silence I can finally give you some details regarding our much-anticipated new album. Scorned is 40 minutes of your agony, another relentless death march. You could say that the new album is a natural evolution of our style. This time the songs are much more demanding than those heard on our previous one, while still retaining their primal brutality. Yes, we are still playing 100% Death Metal Kurwa Maæ!”
