TRUTH CORRODED – Sign European/Japan Deal With: ULTIMHATE RECORDS

Australian Thrash Metal band TRUTH CORRODED have signed a European / Japan deal with ULTIMHATE RECORDS (www.ultimhate-records.com) for the release of the band’s latest album, Worship The Bled. The label will release the album on September 16th with the band following up the release with a European tour in early 2012.

Commenting on the deal, TRUTH CORRODED bass guitarist Greg Shaw states: “The band is extremely pleased to be a part of the label. ULTIMHATE RECORDS have a great and diverse range of bands, and we feel our sound has found the perfect label to represent us in Europe and Japan. Furthermore, like our Australian label (TRUTH INC RECORDS) it is run by musicians who know the industry from going into battle for their own music. After years of hard work to get where we are it is great to be working with a label that has a shared experience and work ethic. The label has been very supportive and plans for touring in support of the album in Europe were put into place immediately. For us this is an aim we have long fought for, and we look foward to taking our music to Europe and building our profile further. “

Worship The Bled features Kevin Talley (SIX FEET UNDER, MISERY INDEX, DAATH, CHIMAIRA) on drums and was mixed and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren of SCAR SYMMETRY at Black Lounge Studio in Avesta, Sweden. Artwork for the album was designed by Bjoern Gooses of KILLUSTRATIONS (ABORTED, DEW SCENTED).

Kevin Talley also comments his participation drumming on Worship The Bled, “I really enjoyed playing on this album. There are many different types of beats and a variety of tempos. Great band!”

ELIMINATOR – Re-Releases “Breaking The Wheel” Album

LAZARUS A.D. – Headlining: No Prisoners No Mercy 2011 Tour

Wisconsin Thrash Metallers LAZARUS A.D. are set to hit the road on the band’s first headlining tour with the band taking on local support at each stop. The No Prisoners No Mercy Tour takes the band through NYC, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Baltimore, and more on this 14 date run kicking off in Rochester, NY on July 22. The band’s July 24th stop in Montreal at the HEAVY MTL FESTIVAL 2011 sees the band playing with the likes of KISS, Motörhead, Anthrax, and Children Of Bodom just to name a few.

Vocalist Jeff Paulick comments; “Heading back out on the road, finally we are headlining. Are we big enough to headline who knows and who the fuck cares. We finally get a chance to play all the songs we have wanted to play for a long time. This isn’t going to be some shit ass 20 minute set you can count on it. See you all at the show we can’t wait to party with everyone on the road.”

Lazarus A.D.’s latest album, Black Rivers Flow, is available everywhere now. The album debuted at #35 on the Billboard Top New Artist Albums chart and #86 on the Billboard Top Hard Music Albums chart. Black Rivers Flow also charted at #90 in Canada on the Hard Music charts. BEER CORPSE – Released back on April 27th, 2011, on Give Praise Records, is the 7″ from the Grindcore/Thrashcore outfit that is known across the planet as: Beer Corpse. This grind’em and thrash’em band is from down under. Um, that’s Australia, for those of you who live in that remote cave in the god forsaken woods of Maine. Whoever said “Beer Corpse is Australian for Extreme Metal” should have a 50 foot statue made of them in Metal. Oh, I said that. Cool.

Beer Corpse don’t hold back on serving out the aggressively punishing riffs, beats and monstrously brutal vocals. On a rather serious Metal note here, if you are a fan of Grindcore and Thrashcore, then you are in for an all-out blitz of grinding, growling, gurgling, chugging, riffing and blast beatin’ swell o’ time with what Beer Corpse plays on Keg Nuts. Beer Corpse should also be embraced by hardcore Death Metal and Thrash Metal fans alike, with their unapologetic and quite impressive cross-over sound appeal.

To put Keg Nuts in a Metal nutshell, this is the 7″ you want to pull out and play F’n extremely loud when your prissy neighbors are having their annual family reunion in their backyard. I will readily admit, that once I learned about this new Anthrax song being available for a free download (on twitter yesterday), I was happier than a Metal pig in mud. (Fight’em till’ You Can’t was made available on Friday, June 24th). I’ll say this, it was all the Metal buzz on twitter yesterday, once the press and all of us fellow Metalheads had this new Thrash dosage of Anthrax fueling our brains! Metal be thy name and ring that Thrash Metal bell… cause Anthrax has some new material!

This free download was made available by Anthrax as a “thank you” to all of their loyal fans. The new Anthrax album (tenth overall) Worship Music is slated for a September 13th, 2011 release! This release date is the day before Anthrax takes the stage at Yankee Stadium as members of The Big 4: Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth. Hallelujah, Thrash Metal reigns supreme!

With legendary vocalist Joey Belladonna back at the mic on Fight’em till You Can’t, the Thrashin’ situation couldn’t get any better than this! Hard to believe, it’s been over twenty years since the last Joey Belladonna fronted Anthrax album (1990’s Persistence Of Time) and the time is now that Anthrax has delivered! Worship Music will be the first studio album from Anthrax since 2003’s (John Bush fronted) We’ve Come For You All. Um, Stone is quite elated.

In all Metal honesty, Fight’em till You Can’t is a tremendous Thrash Metal song. From the lyrics and insanely memorable guitar riffs and solo, this is vintage Anthrax at their Thrashin’ finest. Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano tear it up. Charlie Benante on drums sounds terrific as usual, along with Frank Bello on bass. Old School.

Joey sounds excellent on vocals and he brings back that real Old School vibe that this legendary band is so known for and glistens with. I’m guilty of whining for any new material from Anthrax for a long, long time now. My Metal whining is over. Thank you Anthrax for getting it all together and making it real for the fans… both young and Old School!

ELIMINATOR – Edison New Jersey’s ELIMINATOR have just released their cover of “Angel of Death” by SLAYER.  The song can be heard/viewed HERE.  The band is a two piece of “Black Speed” Metal as singer/guitarist Warchild has described. Along with drummer Samus (Decrepit Birth, ex-Mutiny Within, ex-Abigail Williams, ex-Suspyre), the two have just released their second full length album The One They Were Waiting For.

The band released their highly popular and sold out debut album Breaking the Wheel which was quickly followed by their latest, The One They Were Waiting For. The band is already hard at work on the next album and are in the process of recording another jaw dropping SLAYER cover.

DESTRUCTION – Covers A DIO Classic ‘Stand Up And Shout’ With Legendary, Unyielding Thrash Intensity!

DESTRUCTION – The German Thrash Metal band Destruction released their eleventh studio album on March 8th, 2011, via Nuclear Blast America. On this immensely Thrash fortified album is the cover song of the DIO classic: Stand Up And Shout. Covering a legendary classic such as this song takes Metal balls… and Destruction are legends that can deliver the Thrashin’ goods. Destruction accomplished quite the Metal feat with their cover of Stand Up And Shout, creating an all-out Thrashtastic tribute to the late Ronnie James Dio, in my Metal opinion.

With their very own legendary Thrash style on Stand Up And Shout, Destruction tears it up and kicks some legitimate Metal ass. A Metal song that will be the battle cry of Metalheads for ions to come, Stand Up And Shout!!

The Neologist – Releases New Songs and Launches Official Website

THE NEOLOGIST – Coming off the release of their debut album, The 26 Letters of Your Universe, Gothenburg styled melodic metal two piece THE NEOLOGIST have been hard at work on new material.

The band is currently working on their next album tentatively titled The Promise of Eternal Separation which is set to be released in the fall of 2011.

THE NEOLOGIST is simultaneously recording the first of several IN FLAMES cover albums which they will be titling In Flames We Trust: Volume 1.  Thus far they have recorded and released “Jotun”, “Jester Script Transfigured”, and “Ordinary Story”.  The band is taking requests from fans via their Facebook, YouTube, and Homepage on which IN FLAMES songs should be covered on the album.  They also released 2 comical music videos for “Jotun” and “Jester Script Transfigured” which can be viewed on their YouTube account.

THORNAFIRE – To Open For SLAYER In Santiago, June 2nd, 2011

On June 2nd, 2011, Chilean Death Metallers THORNAFIRE have the distinct honor of warming up the stage for the almighty SLAYER when the Thrash titans bring their World Painted Blood Tour to South America. Understandably, the band is marking this occasion as a huge moment in their career as guitarist Victor Mac-Namara reflects in the following statement:

“We are very happy as musicians and fans to be part in the scenario of a Slayer concert, and opening for them in our city.The truth is that I don´t have many words to talk about it, I can only say that we will unleash our fury and vibe on stage with our sharp axes and drums to evoke the somber cry of death. In short, we hope to leave the stage like shit, but leave at least the electrical system working for Slayer to finally crush this masochistic audience with their classic tyranny.”

The announcement of this high-profile gig comes as the band is currently working hard on the anticipated follow up to 2009’s Vorex Deconstrucción. In a previously released statement regarding the forthcoming album, Mac-Namara commented, “Currently we are writing music a little different than what we have done in the past. It’s a variation, but still true to our underground Death Metal underground roots. I’m drawing concepts for the album artwork. We hope to have this released  by 2012.”

THORNAFIRE – Deconstrucción:

Deconstrucción was previously described by THORNAFIRE bassist/vocalist Alexis Munoz as a “futuristic song inspired by the religious and social decline experienced in the current era Eon oh Hourus.”

Deconstruccion comes off THORNAFIRE’s second album, Vorex Deconstrucción, which came out in July 2009 via Ibex Moon Records and is currently available at: Ibex Moon Records and  ABYSS RECORDS.

The band’s previous release, Exacerbated Gnostic Manifestation, is also available through Ibex Moon Records.

The video for Deconstrucción (see & hear below) was filmed, produced and edited by Daniel Duarte (a member of the fellow Chilean Death Metal act EXECRATOR) in a professional TV studio in Santiago.
